Popped in here to look for some back issues for my husband. While there are tons of back issues in…read morelong boxes, they are very unorganized and inaccessible. Boxes are labeled but don't seem to be in any logical order and there were a bunch of boxes we couldn't even look at because they were underneath a plastic table cloth with stuff on top of them. Also, there was a boxes Funko Pop on the shelf. I went to grab it to ask my husband if it was one he needed for his collection and I was told to be careful because it wasn't for sale. Alright. Maybe that needs to be on a shelf behind the counter then. Or there needs to be a sign on that shelf that says nothing on it is for sale. Alas. Could be a nice source for back issues if they were organized and accessible.

I can't figure out why the reviews here are so high, because it is not an impressive store. It is…read moremessy, and unorganized. When I came in, what I assume to be one employee was sitting on a couch watching soccer on the tv. The other didn't look up from behind the counter to say hello or anything. I wish I could say I shopped around for a while, but there is little organization, and back issues just seem to be randomly in different places. I left without buying anything when the employee snapped at my wife when she picked up an item, that the employee said wasn't for sale. Sorry, but don't put it on the sales floor then, or at least clearly mark it. Not a stretch to assume that the comic book merchandise in the comic book shop is for sale. If it isn't why do you have it out? The attitude and tone of the employees was not inviting, and borderline rude.

Emily in particular is super knowledgeable what's happening each week, what events are going on, who the regulars are, and the manager Dan is a stand up dude who always makes sure folks are having a good time. Draft events are my jam, and they run good ones here with friendly (and well-bathed!!) players. They've got a bunch of packs from old sets too, so if you're building a commander deck they can totally help you out. Up front is random games and comics. It's nice looking for what was once a sort of army paraphernalia room of an antique store. Now more of a Starbase like its name. In the back they have tables to play card or board games. They have a big selection of snacks and drinks to fill you up when gaming. Service was friendly and was ready to answer any question.

A very cute and quiet little mom and pop shop type of bookstore! We went in on a whim after…read morevisiting the coffee shop next door. Parking is available across the street near the goodwill or if you can get a spot on the street. We came in and there were piles of books next to the bookshelves. The sections aren't completely labeled, but if you read enough, you can see what category the bookkeeper has placed the books in. There isn't a certain order (alphabetically or anything). You go in and you peruse what is available . The bookseller is also hanging out in the front and will let you look at the front room or the back room. We saw the children's section, science, graphic novels, AAPI, and fantasy. Their romance was scattered around the store. I did end up leaving with a book purchase. I will say it's hard to look at everything because the lights were also flickering, although there is sunlight coming in. It was quite overwhelming to look at books. Overall the prices were cheaper than a bookstore chain. It's very nice to see these stores still operating. I'd choose this over a chain any day.

He delighted in showing us pieces from his collection and took real joy in sharing what makes certain comics special. You can tell this isn't just inventory to him; it's art, history, and craft. The shop itself is fantastic: a carefully curated selection of high-quality comics, a great assortment of Pokémon cards, and even a space dedicated to in-person gaming. He also has customized merchandise, things like unique pins and plushes, that you won't find anywhere else and that really reflect his love for the medium. What really stood out, though, was how warm and generous he was. He even gave my son two pins which he promptly affixed to his hat. If you love comics, collectibles, or just supporting passionate, thoughtful small business owners, do yourself a favor and stop by. This place is something special.

Chilisblues is a tiny store located in a converted motel. Yes, motel. You can totally tell it used to be a motel, and the store is about the size of a small motel room. I almost got lost finding it on the GPS because the street view made it look like it was a residential home. She has a decent selection of collectibles from Vinyls, figurines, toys, games and a Funko Pop! When I stopped by, she had boxes as high as the ceiling but couldn't move her inventory due to her shoulder. I spied some Pop! from SDCC (Comic Con), other exclusive ones, and even a Chase.
