This is primarily because my daughter loved going in here. Today was no different, I took my 7yr old daughter in. Almost immediately I noticed that they had a "Gaston" comic book which is a feature that focus' on Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I so, ph that's cool and the guy behind the counter (the owner of the shop) stated that that Disney is doing a series on Villains. I thought that was an interesting perspective because a hunter protecting his town from a beast doesn't seem like a villain to me. Whoa, this guy got triggered. He became upset/irate and proceeded to tell me how wrong I am for having that perspective. The more I tried to engage him the more emotional and upset he became. He began to get so upset that became concerned about what my 7yr old daughter was witnessing. I stated that I was fine to have a conversation with him but I didn't appreciate being yelled at and talked over. He became more upset and I though it best to cut our shopping short and leave. On our way out, he thought it important to get the last word in and yelled "don't come back!" Well, my daughter became upset and cried her eyes out. The whole thing was traumatic for my kiddo and appalling for me. I can't imagine ever treating someone like he treated us, without any concern for my daughter and our business. I would suggest staying away from this place and the owner seems unstable.

The Gashapon is a machine that provides the excitement and joy of a blind box, where a random toy of the advertised series pops out. As a person who frequents Japan, the conversion here was pretty steep. Usually it costs 300-400 yen (~$2-3) for something similar but here you are paying 3-4 tokens which are $9-12. The coin machine also only charges $21 for 7 tokens, so you will be spending that much as a minimum. Despite this, I think its cool that this store is officially owned by Bandai and brings Japanese toys to SoCal. A small price to pay if it saves you a plane ticket to Japan. Gashapon Bandai has some neat toys and the store was very organized. Definitely work a look if you're at the mall.

Up front is random games and comics. It's nice looking for what was once a sort of army paraphernalia room of an antique store. Now more of a Starbase like its name. Popped in here to look for some back issues for my husband. While there are tons of back issues in…read morelong boxes, they are very unorganized and inaccessible. Boxes are labeled but don't seem to be in any logical order and there were a bunch of boxes we couldn't even look at because they were underneath a plastic table cloth with stuff on top of them. Also, there was a boxes Funko Pop on the shelf. I went to grab it to ask my husband if it was one he needed for his collection and I was told to be careful because it wasn't for sale. Alright. Maybe that needs to be on a shelf behind the counter then. Or there needs to be a sign on that shelf that says nothing on it is for sale. Alas. Could be a nice source for back issues if they were organized and accessible.

There are four, or five Comic book/ Hobby stores in the greater Temecula Valley area. The former Ryan's or Graham Crackers as it is also known, is an honest, to goodness Comic Book store. The others specialize in one area, or another, but mostly cards like Magic, D& D, Warhammer gamers. I came in to get card cardboard organizers. The prices seem very fair and everyone was nice and friendly. I know that might sound trite, but this type of business seems to attract egos. None here at Graham Crackers! Five stars.
