Fast-forward several years...we were making some changes in internet and phone service (because Windstream bites - again separate review) and couldn't remember who we used last time as we needed more internal wiring and repairs...so we wound up with the other guys again...who scheduled appointments and didn't show 3 times. I wanted two Ubiquiti APs (one on each floor), several Ubiquiti PoE security cameras, and two CAT6 drops into bedrooms which the builder didn't add. Starlight Tech was able to take care of all of this and the best part was minimal holes in the drywall. There were some small holes that Mike told me about ahead of time, but they were small enough to be covered by standard wall plates. On the day of the install, Starlight Tech was here on time, worked together to make sure everything was done in a clean and neat manner, and made sure everything was fully up and running before leaving. They even came back on a second occasion because I was still waiting to order a final security camera. The WiFi in my home office was abysmal, and I work and run my business from home so I needed to be up and running as soon as possible. Michael was one of the first people to respond to me and offered to come over the next day. He was knowledgeable over the phone, and for some reason was one of the only people who I reached out to that understood what I was talking about. He provided an on-site estimate and reterminated the telephone cables to data the same day. His quote was comparable to others I reached out to. I felt more comfortable going with Michael because I was able to look up his license at the CSLB. I now have ethernet at my home office thanks to Michael. I wish I had him reterminate the other cables while he was here, because I would definitely hire him again once I get around to finding out what I want to do with the other telephone jacks at my home.
