Based on that conversation, I was under the impression that bringing it in would not be an issue. After making arrangements and sending someone out of their way during an already busy day, we were then told in person that they do not work on these cameras at all. This was a complete waste of time, gas, and energy--something that could have easily been avoided with accurate communication from the start. Vintage and film camera owners often rely heavily on clear information before transporting expensive equipment, especially larger medium format systems. I understand not every shop services every model, but the real issue here was the lack of proper communication and the inconvenience it caused. Had I been told accurately on the phone, I would have pursued another option immediately. For a business with a longstanding reputation in camera repair, I expected far better clarity and professionalism. I hope they improve their internal communication so future customers do not experience the same unnecessary frustration.
