First of all, the seamstress tells me, "I made a little mistake on your quilt." SHE CUT OFF THE WHOLE BOTTOM BORDER! In addition, if you look closely you can see the quilting goes INTO the border. So, I had to hand-remove the invaiding stitches, and then remove the excess batthing. The other quilt (floral) has the same border problem so I will have to painstakingly remove stitches again. On top of this I was charged $238 for these two quilts, and she did not even offer me a discount for her mistake. I will never go back.

I took my new sewing machine in to ABS Sewing for warranty repair 3 times over the course of almost…read morea year, each time having to leave it for at least 3 weeks and each time being told by Zac there was nothing wrong with it. And yet each time within a few days of being used it would not be operating correctly. Frustrated, I took it to Village Sewing Center in Santa Rosa where they actually have professionally trained repair people, as well as a fabulous store for fabric, notions and machines. They had it fully functional within half an hour after beginning service the same day. This was on Sept 1st and today, Oct 23rd I'm still sewing happily with a great sewing machine. There are many shops, but not many that are willing to do small orders. I'm glad I kept searching. It led me to John. I sent over an email on Wednesday, called to set up a drop off time on Thursday, dropped the items off Friday (we ordered our own garments) , and they were ready for pick up on Tuesday (yesterday). The process was seamless. He is very knowledgeable about his business. He recommended certain changes and they were spot on. We sent him the svg file and he was able to digitize it for the embroidery machine. We had a variety of garments embroidered, and they all look great! The stitch work is exceptional. The shop is a quaint little space off of Clayton Road. There is street and lot parking available. You do have a flight of stairs to get to him. Definitely worth every step lol. From the moment you elk in, you can see for yourself his work. From delicate doilies to leather motorcycle gear- the embroidery is top notch. He is closed on Sundays and Mondays. He opens at 11am. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We will be using him for all of our embroidery needs!!
