One Medical is an interesting place to review because... it's not a restaurant, and it's not an entertainment place. But it's a place you go to see a doctor. And in the spirit of Yelp... I review everything. Including... walk-in doctor's offices. So, I'm a One Medical user, and I've used it for about six months. This is my home location, and I'm definitely a fan. One of the main things I like about it is how you can get labs done by just walking in anytime. You don't need an appointment. You just walk in and wait. If there's a line, they can give you a time to come back. Or, if there's no line, you can just sit in the waiting room. It's very nice to have a lab on site, and you don't have to deal with the whole Sonora Quest adventure that a lot of us Arizonans deal with. I've seen two nurse practitioners there. Both of them were helpful. And not only did they show good bedside manner--if I'm able to use that term, despite not actually being in a hospital bed--but they also were quick to respond to my messages on the app. The service here is painless. No pun intended. It's easy to make an appointment. Their app is very well-designed. And this location is clean and friendly. I would recommend One Medical if you're looking for a simple primary care experience. read more

The providers are top notch. I've been a patient for 8 years or so and my child has been a patient for maybe 6. We always get the best care and follow-through. But whoever is handling the billing lately is so rude, am not sure what happened. Maybe they outsourced it? I've never had an issue until recently. I called to clarify a charge that didn't seem like it was coded correctly. The person I spoke to on the phone was obviously busy with so many other things in the background and seemed annoyed and said she'd pass along my concern. I asked in the app and the person who replied was extremely rude as well, when I was just looking for clarification. Apparently a Saturday appointment triggers an extra $87 charge as "after hours" even though that was never disclosed and it shows on the website that they are opening alternate Saturdays (again with no mention of it being an extra fee or extra hours.) It wasn't an emergency and we didn't need to go on a Saturday. I just think that it should be disclosed somewhere that an extra fee will be incurred. My first inquiry in the app received a very patronizing "non-answer" to my question. The AI in the app is great but it doesn't handle billing. AI isn't always helpful but at least it's not rude or insulting. After the back and forth, I logged in to pay the balance that I should not have owed, but I chalked it up to a lesson learned. It showed zero balance. That was a few weeks ago, and today I got a bill in the mail showing the outstanding balance again. The providers and the quality of care are amazing. I just felt insulted the way I was treated by the billing people, and that's left a bad taste in my mouth. I would definitely recommend One Medical but be warned that billing might be a hassle now that I guess it's being handled by new people. read more

One Medical is a wonderful forward thinking Dr office. They are own some Saturdays, are nationwide.... yes you can do teledoc visits, but if you're out of town you can also gp to another OneMed office near you. The medical staff is caring and amazing, they have a lab in office. The biggest thing is they respect your time. You don't wait in the waiting room long your provider comes to get you not a med tech and you can pick your apt time 15 min 30 etc. There is an annual membership fee but you get a discount if you have Amazon Prime. My dad is 78 years old and has had many health issues and they've taken care of him wonderfully and my 24yo son is also a patient there. We are very happy with their care for us all. read more

To Whom It May Concern at One Medical, I'm not sure it's possible to feel more dismissed, more gaslit, or more infuriated by a healthcare provider than I have been by One Medical. Let me be blunt: I waited nearly two years for One Medical to have an actual doctor available in-office. My condition is complex. I respect physician assistants and nurse practitioners--but in my case, I needed a doctor. And for two years, One Medical failed to provide one. Fast forward to now: I attempted to refill a common antibiotic for diverticulitis, a condition I've been diagnosed with and treated for since 2022. One Medical told me they had no record of my diagnosis. None. Not the specialist referral. Not the tests. Not the prescriptions. Not the consults. Nothing. This is beyond absurd. I saw a One Medical doctor five weeks ago who specifically prescribed medication for my diverticulitis. We had a full consult about my history with it. Yet when I called to renew that prescription, I was told--again--that there was no record of my condition, my medication, or any reason to refill it. From August 25th to August 30th, I spent hours trying to get through to patient relations. Every call ended the same way: denial, deflection, and a suggestion to "just book another appointment." That might work for someone in perfect health. But for me, dragging myself into an office just to refill a prescription I've already been given is not just inconvenient--it's cruel. And the worst part? I was treated like a nuisance. Every customer service rep, every clinical nurse I spoke to acted like I was irrational for asking them to do their job: to look at my records, to acknowledge my diagnosis, and to refill a medication that's clearly documented across my specialist network--from pulmonology to cardiology. Everyone knows I have diverticulitis. Everyone except One Medical. So here I am, stranded. The specialist who originally diagnosed me is no longer in business. And One Medical, the company that absorbed that practice, has erased my history and left me without care. If you're looking for a provider that will ignore your records, deny your diagnosis, and treat you like a burden--One Medical is the place. If you value your health, your time, and your dignity, stay far away. I hope someone at One Medical actually reads this and contacts me. But based on your track record, I won't hold my breath. Annual blood work is never fun, but this place makes it easier. I went in early, and they had quite a few folks in there already, assuming they were taking advantage of skipping breakfast for the fasting requirements. It actually went pretty quick with two techs going at once. Always a clean, friendly office. Lab hours are open super early, and their techs are really nice and seem to care about you. I have been a member for over five years and I just recently canceled my membership. Initially it was $149 a year and has since increased to $199. This fee is for your appointments to be on time, and also the Doctor comes out to greet you. My issue is I can hardly ever get a same day appointment in a emergency situation and have had to go to an nearby urgent care. In order to get the doctor I want to see it is almost impossible. If I had a quick common question and called their number I'm on hold for great lengths of time. I've also had some health concerns and felt like I wasn't taking seriously. I felt like I had to pull teeth to get an referral. I have since taken my own initiative and made appointments with several different specialists to get to the cause of some of my health problems. No one should have to do that! I've learned to be my own advocate. With our country's fraying health care system it is important to find a doctor who can provide you with the best care for you. I originally gave this place 1 star because I found after paying their membership fee that I could not see a MD or NP within 6 days. I decided instead to book an online appointment which uses Zoom. From the comfort of my home I had the needed meds prescribed to me and had a follow up visit scheduled 7 days out for a follow up only if I didn't feel better. 30min and I was done. Certainly a new way of seeing the Doc but after the experience I'll never wait in a germ infested waiting room again. Great software and app - very clear and clean and they did a nice job with the interface. ! star knocked because I suspect if I had a physical injury and something more than a cough I'm not sure how well the virtual visit would work particularly if you needed anything for pain after every Dr. office and Dentist in the valley gets druggies daily trying to get scripts. I understand their predicament but not sure how well the online meeting would serve those types of issues. read more

Early on in the Covid pandemic, it was required to obtain a letter from your physician in order to travel back into the United States. I had a virtual appointment with Dr. Gordon prior to leaving town, uploading a document confirming I had tested positive for Covid-19 about 70 days prior to our trip. Because my body could still contain antibodies, it was possible I would test positive prior to returning into the US, and I would have to quarantine for 10 days. That letter stating I previously had Covid and had since recovered, would override a positive result in that case. I then received a bill about 6 months later in the amount of $140 due to the doctor coding the virtual visit incorrectly. I sent countless messages to their billing department, never getting a response. I contacted Dr. Gordon and never heard back. My husband went thru the same process with his Non-($200/yr)-Subscription physician and didn't owe a dime. I was a member for 3 years and recently just decided not to renew. It's not worth the hype. And you'd think for $200/yr, they would fix what seems like a simple clerical error on their end. read more

Being that there is an annual fee you do get great service from the doctors, short wait times, and access to an online app where you can communicate with the doctors for simple things and prescription refills. The office is clean and everybody is usually very professional and nice when I come in. To top it all off, I've met my current NP, who I've come to enjoy seeing. I've recently entered the realm of "adulthood" and need a consistent person to visit. Thanks to the experience I've had first-hand, I would not have an issue recommending the purchase of an annual subscription to One Medical. I love one medical, the service and providers. However, this location the lab phlebotomist/ lab tech was the worst experience that was provided. She was not only unprofessional but seemed to not want to draw blood or provide the service my cardiologist ordered. She told me that she didn't need to complete the service "complementary" and that I should really go to lab corp. I go to one medical because it's easy and great service. However, you need to find a new lab person as she was completely out of line and out of touch to working with patients. Front staff and manager were great. Please be cautious about ONE MEDICAL. Their billing department is the worst. They are trying to bill us for visits from 2016-2018. The current statement as well as previous statement have never indicated these charges. you will spend hours on the phone trying to get billing to help with your issue. I appreciate the completeness of care that One Medical provides. I have been a patient at most of their valley locations and all the providers are competent and compassionate. The administrative staff assists in obtaining outside records from other providers and specialists to have all the pieces of my healthcare puzzle. This place is an absolute joke now, and we are never coming back. My wife hurt herself pretty badly and went in to see Maria Morton. We've never had a worse experience with a healthcare "professional". She barely examined my wife, and just said essentially to suck it up. We were left with a bad taste in our mouth right away. The next day, we had to go to Urgent Care because she felt like something was wrong. They believed she had a fracture, while Maria didn't even to an exam. Urgent care suggests she go to the ER to get a CT scan, but we shouldn't have to pay a $350 copay for something that can be ordered by a regular doctor. I've used One Medical a lot in the past and never had an issue getting a SimonMed referral, so we tried to call up the office. 30 min phone wait, no big deal, except that it slipped to 45 min and continued to repeat that there was a 30 min wait. Clearly there is something wrong with the phone system. This is the epitome of how much they care about you. The next day we decided to drive down there and talk to them in person. The guy I talked to was nice, but really unhelpful. He chuckled when I said that we had been on the phone line waiting, as if I don't have better things to do then sit there and wait. Another good example of how great they treat you! Finally, we get a message from the doc saying that they will NOT order the CT scan for us and to go back to Urgent Care (which just repeats the cycle). What a joke. Was looking for Doc office that did labwork and took new patients. Place is open early and closes late. Front desk people nice. Dr. Klein was great and listened to my concerns. He seems to be knowledgeable and keeps up with new technologies in medical care. He was very interactive and documented my concerns. As a new patient he was with me for about 30 minutes and I feel if I needed more time it would not be a problem. I used the blood lab and the medical assistant was very nice and was able to find a vein without issue or discomfort (most people cannot do that on me). We talked about Netflix shows and just like that my blood draw was over. My experience was super positive and follow up communication was not pencil whipped. I have found my PCP. I elected for standard membership (no cost) but they have an elite membership (at cost) that offers virtual visits and other benefits. I felt standard membership offered all the benefits I need and still above a lot of other medical facilities. (note I rated my visit 5 stars originally. for some reason it posted as 3 stars. I had a friend recommend OneMedical to me, I am so glad they did! Once I signed up, it was a super easy process to schedule my new patient appointment (and one was available within a few days). I had an appointment this morning to get established with my primary care physician. It was a GREAT experience! Super friendly staff that used my name throughout the entire visit (even when thanking me as I walked out the door). What a refreshing surprise that it was my doctor who called/walked me back to the exam room. It was my doctor who took my vitals and general info. My entire visit was with my doctor who was caring, friendly, and present. How convenient that they drew my blood for my lab work while I was there in the office. All that and I was seen on time according to my scheduled appointment. Wow! Refreshing! I'm kinda hesitant to share this only because I hope everyone locally doesn't run to this place and make it so I can never book an appointment I have finally found a doctor that I feel comfortable that will walk with me to health vs just applying bandaids here and there. There are a few offices sprinkled throughout the valley - I go to this one in SanTan. There is a $99 membership fee to be a part of One Medical Group and after the few times thus far that I have been to this office, I think that it is a conservative cost for the difference in care. Not only does my doctor greet me on time - every time - from the waiting room, he is the one that takes my vitals (as a previous CNA this was huge for me - I know they are as accurate as possible). He has his own room with his own desk and patient table with all his doctor fixin's. He listens. Every note is taken from our convo. All paperless. Email correspondence from my doctor (like wah?!) The office is easy on the eyes and makes you feel so comfortable coming in. Lab on site with two of the most easiest going ladies ever. And then the bathroom? Like hand towels? Kotex tampons... Pads... Really? I feel like I'm at a hotel. Muslin pee bags for your sample so you can discreetly place it in the collection site?? Like really? Yes, I said it. So I just thought I'd share... This is coming from someone who has traveled a lot, lived in multiple states and knows how hard it is to find good care. The membership fee is completely worth it just saving me my time alone. This USED to be a really great office where you could get in and out in a timely manner. Because that's the great part about concierge medicine: pay a yearly fee and get the benefits of personalized care. Well anymore it's difficult to get an appointment even for something as simple as yearly lab work. And when I do get an appointment, they cancel. It's really not worth the $200/year fee so I'm just going to go back to having a regular family practice doctor and go to Sonora Quest for any needed blood work. read more

I go to the One Medical at San Tan Village and I have loved everyone I have met there, including Dana Klein. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes max, but most times they are calling me back before I set. They are quick, efficient, great communicators and really listen. I've never felt rushed by them and always feel like they treat me and my issues as important. The mobile app is awesome and SO easy to use. I can sent Dana Klein over a message, and I kid you not he replies in minutes! I love One Medical and will not be going anywhere else. I highly recommend them! read more

One Medical service is genius! Especially if you have a busy schedule. I love the videoing in the doctor option and the follow up through the messaging app. You can typically get in within 24 hours. The office is always nice and clean with tea and such available when you enter. The waiting area doesn't feel like a dark and scary doctors office like most places. So far the staff, including the front desk, have been friendly and accommodating. Have had no issues with billing. Their follow up is MUCH better than my last doctor. I've met with Dr Anderson who was great and explained things in a way I could actually understand. Ha! I've also met the PA Karen Langdon recently and she is... fantastic! She is an asset to One Medical. You can tell she cares about the patient's well being and is wonderful at follow up through the messaging app. For me, communication is huge! This is the most friendly and streamlined clinic and has made my life so easy and I am so grateful to all the dedicated employees who treat each patient with kindness and respect. I have always hated patient portals, clinic attitudes, and doctors with no bedside manners or empathy for patients especially when doctors run behind and leave you to feel like you've imposed. Not feeling good is the worst and I'm so thankful most of these doctors are so knowledgeable. I see Dana Klein who is so experienced in osteopathic medicine. I know I can trust him and that makes my life so much easier and the portal works perfectly even though I'm not so tech savvy it's very easy to navigate. The Four Seasons of medical care. You will never experience care like this anywhere else. 24/7 access to a doctor, on time appts, same day/next day appts, and quality time with your doctor. They also do all the leg work with referrals. They don't just send you out the door with a referral slip. They call and make verify it's in your network, and what your copay is. Dr. Tsai is phenomenal. He truly cares about his patients. He somehow gets you into all screenings and referrals immedietly, and he gets results back immedietly. You get a test done late Friday nigbt? You dont wanna worry abput it all weekend? Don't worry, he'll call you on Sat. I have never known a doctor like him. The yearly fee is so worth it. All appts via the app (virtual team) are included, and insurance is not billed. read more

I've been to dozens of doctors offices over the last several years and have been continually frustrated by bad service, long wait times, unhelpful staff, and half-hearted medical care. Then I signed up with One Medical Group and was blown away by how different they were. For starters, they're ORGANIZED. Most doctors offices are stuck in the 1990s, technology-wise, but One Medical Group has a state-of-the-art computer system that makes everything easy. Need to make or change an appointment online? Check. Want to email your doctor with a follow-up question? Check. Want to see your lab results as a PDF? Absolutely. It seems amazing to me in the year 2017 that more doctors don't offer these services, which makes me appreciate One Medical Group all the more. More important than that, the people are fantastic. In my 18 months as a One Medical Group patient, I've never encountered anything but smart, courteous and extremely knowledgeable people, none more so than my primary care physician, Dr. Thomas Tsai. I could tell from my first appointment with him that he wasn't the "assembly line" kind of doctor. He genuinely cares about the health of his patients and takes the time he needs to make sure they get the best possible care. And he absolutely knows his stuff. I've already seen him about a whole host of medical issues, from the minor to the not-so-minor, and he's helped me greatly every single time. I've been recommending One Medical Group to everyone I know who's looking for quality medical care. I only wish my specialists were as sharp, friendly and organized as Dr. Tsai and associates. read more

I have been going to One Medical for my primary care needs for a little over a year now and I am so grateful to have found them. The overall business model is like nothing I have ever experienced before in regards to healthcare. I am still amazed at the fact that I can message and speak with my doctor directly instead of waiting days or weeks for a follow-up call with an admin. I do have to say that my first initial visit with them was not the best. I had gone in for treatment of my autoimmune disorder and for assistance with my intermittent leave at my workplace. I saw Olivia Anderson, and as many others have said previously, she is a horrendous provider. She does not reflect the patient-centered care aspect that makes One Medical so great. She immediately dismissed all of my medical concerns and said that "it's not possible" to get my intermittent leave approved, even though it wouldn't even be her providing the approval, she would just have to give clearance and document my condition / ongoing treatment. She didn't listen to anything I had to say and had an extremely rude demeanor about her overall. I'm honestly surprised she is still in practice to this day with how she treats her patients. However, that experience was completely turned around when I received a call from the medical director at the San Tan Village office, Dr. Thomas Tsai. I had filled out a survey almost immediately after my visit with Olivia and he had followed up within 2 hours to discuss why the experience was so unpleasant. He apologized for the experience, said that he would have any charges from the visit removed, and would make a special appointment for me the very next day - free of charge. Needless to say, that appointment went wonderfully and completely changed my opinion of One Medical as a whole. Dr. Tsai has been my primary care provider ever since and I truly feel like I am the healthiest I have been because of it. For many years, my old primary care team ignored my concerns and refused to treat, let alone properly diagnose, my autoimmune disease. Dr. Tsai makes me feel like a priority and has shown me what true patient-centered care looks like. Every single concern I have had has been addressed and resolved promptly by him and his care team.
