I've been here a few times, both for myself and for my wife. This visit, we got super lucky with no one ahead of us, which made things even smoother. The front desk staff always does a good job making the check-in process easy and stress-free. The caregivers have consistently seemed thorough, attentive, and helpful, which is what you want when visiting an urgent care clinic. Another plus -- there's ample parking, making access simple. This office used to be my go-to, but after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. I came in with sudden, severe neck pain and felt like my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. The providers didn't seem to listen or validate what I was experiencing. Communication was also poor. I left a voicemail and didn't receive a timely callback, and when I finally did, the response came across as rude and unsupportive. Overall, it felt more focused on getting patients in for additional visits than actually providing quality care. What makes this more frustrating is that my husband and I had just established care here and completed physicals on the family practice side. I rarely have medical issues and try to handle things the right way, so this experience was disappointing. I'll be continuing care with another office who actually listens, and my family will be finding a new primary care provider and urgent care moving forward. read more

The doctor ordered bloodwork, but they insisted i give a credit card first to pay for it. I have valid insurance and keep the balance current so there's no history of non-payment. They couldn't tell me how much the charge would be it would go through; gave no receipt. They insist on office visits for everything- no refills for ongoing prescriptions over the phone. No talking about medical issues at a prescription refills visit; that requires a separate office visit. No phone calls to discuss testing results; that must be another office visit. Literally anything they can do to make care more difficult and expensive. It's so frustrating and really prohibitive to receiving care.​ read more

This is an unfortunate review, as this was my go to spot for most of my families medical needs. Definitely changed.... I was disappointed with my experience at the front desk. The receptionist was condescending in tone and openly discussed collection status from two years ago related to my child's medical account within earshot of others. Additionally, a comment was made implying that information needed to be written down 'because you're a man,' which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. This urgent care is attached to a family medicine doctor's office. We were seen quickly and the staff was very professional. The NP, Amy, was very knowledgable and supportive. She answered all of my questions and provided us with the time we needed to feel seen and heard. I felt confident after leaving that my illness would resolve. I also appreciated the discharge information sheet upon release as it was thorough in the explanation of the condition in Layman's term. I also appreciated it as a referral for the medication Thar was prescribed giving detail on how to take the medicine and why. I highly recommend this urgent care. I was seen for extreme pain in my lower back and leg. The woman PA never even touched me and diagnosed me with sciatica. She never ordered or even suggested an Xray. Took my money and prescribed a couple of meds that I didn't work. Six weeks later I am in the same continuous pain that I was in when I saw her. I have now gone to a professional doctor who is helping me and couldn't believe that an urgent care would treat a 66 year old women in extreme pain without so much as ordering an Xray to find out what the problem is. I had a terrible experience with the front office staff at this urgent care, specifically with a woman named Amira. She called my phone and gave me my mother-in-law's full legal name. When I told her I wasn't my mother-in-law, she abruptly hung up on me. I called back--not to ask for any information, but to give her the correct number so she could reach my mother-in-law directly. Instead of accepting the information, she was extremely rude and hung up on me again. She then claimed it was a HIPAA violation to give out a last name--which is ironic because she's the one who had already shared it. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, and the way she spoke to me was unacceptable. I've visited this urgent care myself, but after this interaction, I won't be returning. I'll also be having my mother-in-law go to a different clinic, even if it's farther away. If this is how they treat people trying to help, I can't imagine how they treat patients. read more

Receptionist was super helpful and empathetic to the pain level I was experiencing. The medical staff was attentive and informative .

Took 10 minutes for someone to even show at the front desk to check me in and then another 40 minutes for me to get to the room. Definitely a one patient in, one patient out type of place. Not interested in treating just taking your cash and insurance for billing and then telling us they have no idea what it could be and to seek out a specialist. Really, your an urgent care. No tests, performed, didn't even physically touch me. Told by the PA I am not to concerned since you were able to put on long pants, shoes and a long shirt! Really I guess the fact that my husband was with me and son and helped me dress was not relevant. The urgent care down the road was able to figure out two broken ribs and a performed multiple tests which also showed blood in my urine. Dr. McRae used to be the top guy for our family and physicals for the past three years! Now you barely see him around and his PA's all have a little groupie thing going and are more concerned with their future weddings, going on group dates then actually brining people back or letting them sit in the room while you can hear every personal conversation. Won't be coming back or recommending anyone for this place. I also will be disputing my copay and insurance claim since I was seen by an uneducated, uninterested PA. They also can forget about reaching out to me since damage control at this point is just their B****S**** read more

My son has a challenging time in social settings and going in any place people usually are not friendly and often rude. We have come multiple times and had multiple staff. They ALL have been kind, understanding, and patient. We have insurance but do NOT have insurance here and I would rather pay out of pocket and have the quality of care then go anywhere else!! So first even if you have insurance you have to pay $90 for office visit I went in for a UTI. So pretty easy to know that and prescribe meds. Doctor literally told me I need to learn to go to that bathroom more because it's like a sitting lake and the more it sits bacteria will occur. I've had issues with reoccurring uti for years so to say something like that is just asinine. Obviously he must not know women can get uti from several things. They were suppose to call me back with culture results about what meds were resistant. It's been 10-12 days and never heard from them. Tried calling no one would call me back. I would never come to this office. Go to urgent or banner instead. I've never had issues there. read more

I went to the website and put my name on the walk-in waitlist, receiving a text confirmation at 2:14 PM (photo attached). When I reserved online it stated that the estimated wait time was 20 minutes and gave me an estimated time of service as 2:35. They give a disclaimer that is only an estimate based on emergencies, which I completely understand. My problem is that I arrived there at 2:25 and as I was walking in, a "walk-in" for a sports physical came in ahead of me, they did not have their name on the waitlist. At 3:25 (an hour past my estimated wait time) the sports physical walk-in ahead of me was called back. I asked why the walk-in was ahead of me and they said checking in online does not give you priority over walk-ins. I then asked what was the advantage of checking in online if walk-in's are ahead of me? She could not explain the benefit to checking in online. Looking at the text, you can clearly see that it states the online check-in does save your place as a walk-in. She mentioned they only had one provider and they called one patient back at 3:20 and another patient back at 3:25, so based on one provider with those two patients, I left at 3:30 knowing that we would not be called back until at least 4 PM and I had somewhere to be at 4:00. So, checking in online at 2:14 PM did absolutely nothing. My only issue is that if they say checking in online gives you priority on the waitlist, then they should actually give you priority on the waitlist. The woman at the front desk was kind, which is my reason for two stars instead of one. I would not go back because at Banner urgent care you can reserve ahead of time and I have never waited more than 15 minutes. read more

He had to go today, 3/20, and was treated with complete indifference by the nurse and the doctor. Their goal was to get him out, and it was obvious. It wasn't busy, so I'm not sure what the rush was. Got the machine for billing so I called the from office which told me to call my own insurance- I explained what their own website said- was told they may take my insurances but they weren't sure. Was visiting from out of state and had to be seen for a sore throat and this was the only place open near me at 4pm on a Saturday. I saw the mixed reviews, but when you're in pain, you do what you have to do to try to alleviate it. First off, we stupidly forgot masks (I'm not big on masks, but at health care clinics, I get it. I'm not a monster.) We walked in naked-faced, apologized and asked if they could give us masks which they happily provided. Both the receptionist and nurse who were up front were kind, charming, and funny. The wait was short to be seen, and both the nurse and doctor were attentive and I really felt like they listened to me about my symptoms. We were out the door and on our way to the pharmacy within 30 minutes. The place was very clean. I would return again if I am ever in the area and in need of some medical care. read more

Like Alexandria L., I hate leaving this review. I, too, am long-time and until today, very satisfied Dr. McRae patient. I really like him. The PA's are great. The operation side of things, though, is increasingly horrific. After just exiting the Urgent Care side of the operation this morning, I am SO MAD. I have been trying for two weeks to get my prescription renewed, first through my pharmacy and then leaving unreturned phone messages. I finally went in yesterday and was assured the medications were renewed. They were not. Thus, the reason for my Urgent Care visit this morning. The family medicine side is closed on weekends, leaving the Urgent Care side as the ONLY option. The receptionist was just horrible. She told me, "This is Urgent Care and Dr. McRae is not here." I asked if there was someone -- anyone -- who could help me. That I had been trying for two weeks and that I even had come in yesterday. Her response: "This is Urgent Care. We can't help you." I told her I knew what it was and that I wasn't stupid. This is not the first time I have had to call back more than two times, after having my pharmacy tell me they were unable to get a response. Now it is so bad that even going into the office isn't working. My advice. Try other medical care operations before trying this one. read more

This post is long overdue. I went into the Health First Urgent care a few months ago and needed to have a blood draw. I am never an easy stick. Julie came in and drew my blood with no effort, trouble or pain. I remembered to finally make this long over due post today because I had to go for a blood draw, at a local blood lab this morning and it wasn't a great experience. They were really rude and would not honor it. She was unprofessional, unkind, and seems to genuinely dislike her job (and people, for that matter.) I had a ruptured ear drum and in some incredible pain. Yesterday on Sunday I was able to walk right in and be seen. My doctor gave me what I needed to fix it and even to a swab to be tested just to make sure that nothing else was going on in there. I loved the care that I received. read more

I went online and out my name on the list so that I could wait at home. I received a text when I was 4th in line and time to come in to complete paperwork. Let me start off with the positives: It was very clean facility, no one was in the lobby so we were able to be seen within 15 minutes. The cons: We were seen by PA Seguine. My family member had been purging since the day before. Not even water would stay down. When I asked about an IV to help with possible dehydration, my concerns were dismissed. We stayed for a little over an hour. After getting some anti-nausea medication, we were sent home. Unfortunately the problem only persisted, and we ended up in the ER. I still don't understand why it was such an issue to provide fluids to someone who had been purging for a day and a half. Granted dehydration was not the root of the problem, but it would have prevented some unnecessary purging episodes later on. Moral of the story: this urgent care isn't a bad place, but always ask questions and be your own health advocate. read more

Last night we had to bring my son here, and they were incredible. They got us back fast. The building was clean and decorated nicely. Listen....I don't care how sick I am, the place better look and smell nice. They treated my son with compassion and kindness. The doctor was so sweet and really gentle with him, as he was extremely agitated. They also gave him toys to help. They were able to pefore a small treatment to get him feeling better immediately. Initially the wait time was projected to be 30-45minutes, but I was called back in less than 15minutes. I was seen by Joey NP. She had such a gentle and kind demeanor. So two weekends ago, I woke up w a migraine on a Friday morning and by Sunday afternoon still had a massive headache and nausea despite my usual tricks that work. I teach so I knew I wasn't going to be any good for my students if I didn't get it handled. I had driven by health first before and they were still open when I checked hours so I went. Oh my goodness every single person there was SO NICE. When you feel like you're gonna barf and your head it's gonna explode all at once kindness is very much appreciated. The nurse even turned the lights out when she left the room so I could rest. I saw a physician assistant named Corey who was wonderful and got my meds and was so much better by the time I left.
