David Dijulio and Arminé Barsegyan are unprofessional and unethical. Consider seriously whether you should hire this law firm. On January 19, 2022 I had a $250 consultation meeting with Arminé Barsegyan to inquire on how to evict a current tenant of ours who has been harassing, terrorizing, and threatening our other tenants in our rental property. I explained to her that we did not know what we were doing and needed help because our tenant is disturbing the peace and safety of our home and adversely affecting our other tenants who live there During the meeting I went over our issues with our tenant. I also asked multiple times if Ms. Barsegyan was sure she can evict our tenant during the eviction moratorium. Ms. Barsegyan told us with all the evidence I presented that we have a good case to evict our tenant. On February 2, 2022, The Dijulio law group sent us a $1500 retainer agreement for their help to evict our tenant. I thought I'd get the help she promised in the consultation meeting, but once I paid the $1500 it was impossible to get any thing done and get in touch with Ms. Barsegyan. On February 10, 2022 Ms. Barsegyan finally sent me a 24 our notice of periodic property inspection and instructions to post on my tenants room door. On February 11, 2022. I attempted to perform the property inspection, however our tenant outright refused. I then called Ms. Barsegyan, and she told me she couldn't evict for denial of entry, and there was nothing to do. Later that day my father called Ms. Barsegyan and she explained to my dad that she couldn't do much and that we had to file and Restraining Order to try to get our tenant out. When my dad asked for help with the restraining order she then told my dad they would CHARGE ANOTHER RETAINER for them to help us with the restraining order. My dad not pleased with that asked to speak with Mr. Dijulio, and She told my dad that Mr. Dijulio was going to call him the following Monday (2/14/22). On February 17, 2020, after multiple attempts of trying to reach the Dijulio law firm, Mr.Dijulio finally called my father and told my dad that they were not able to evict our tenant. We terminated the retainer after that conversation, and asked for a refund because they didn't do anything to help us, however, Mr. Dijulio refused saying they used all of the $1500. On March 3, Mr. Dijulio sent me a threatening email. He claimed that we tried to evict our tenant for being black -- which he knew was a lie, as we were evicting our tenant for physically threatening others in the house. Mr DiJulio then threatened to take us to court for an online review my dad posted about his firm. He actually threatened us with a Black Lives Matter Protest at our front door, which is ridiculous because I am minority too and our other tenants are also African American. This is VERY offensive. Not only did he lie about my motives -- he outright threatened me David Dijulio and Arminé Barsegyan are unprofessional, unethical, and dishonest, but what do you expect from attorneys that graduated from a bottom tier unranked law school? David DiJulio is a true piece of sh**. I hired DiJulio's to represent me against a slumlord refusing to fix a rat infestation. In my first meeting with him - a meeting which lasted 10-minutes - he shoved a credit card swiper under my nose and asked for his $2500 retainer. He assured me the retainer would cover my entire case. One month later. Mr. DiJulio did not show up to our court date. He sent in his place another lawyer who I had not met (and who knew absolutely nothing about my case). We won the trial. Hard not to with a deep catalogue of evidence that I brought to the courtroom myself (dozens of photos of giant dead rats). The settlement: Slumlord ordered to fix rat infestation + 40% of 3 months rent. Around $1,400... $1,100 less than DiJulio's retainer fee. Well, that wasn't worth it. At least the rats are gone and I can move forward. Nope. One week later I received an invoice for Mr. DiJulio's services. $14,535.01. Over 10x the cost of my settlement. Reminder: I met DiJulio for 10-minutes, and he sent a lawyer who I had never met to my court date. His firm literally logged zero minutes on my case. When I refused to pay, DiJulio threatened me with a lawsuit. Now I'm stuck with over $17,000 worth of payments of a few rats. read more

Here's the quick version: They recommended we post an illegal eviction notice to a tenant that could have resulted in a potential fine of $250/day for us, and then kept a portion of our deposit without completing any work. To top it off they never responded to an email requesting a full refund. More detail: It's possible we simply had bad luck with our service from David DiJulio and his firm, given the other reviews on here were the reason I even called them, but they told us to post an eviction notice illegally on our tenant's door, and then refused to refund $600 of a $1500 retainer after one 20min phone call where an associate told us we would "have to wait until David DiJulio is back in the office to get any answers." After my son had been living with huge rats in a Studio City apartment for eight months I called in the HEalth Department. The apartment building illegally tried to evict him immediately upon learning of the HD involvement. I spoke to David Dujulio about the simple case - fighting the eviction - and was told the case was easy, we had photo evidence of at least eight large rats, hundreds of emails complaining over months etc.... I was told it was a simple case - to put down $2500 retainer - of which I would get refunded as when we won, we would also win legal fees. Well....we did "win" the case. My son received a 25% discount on only 3 months of rent instead of 8, no damages and the eviction removed from his record. To me this wasn't a win at all - but we at least expected to get our $2500 back after winning legal fees. NOPE - instead we received a bill for over $17,000 - YES THAT IS SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS - for legal fees - not including the $2500 we didn't get back. I have filed a complaint with the California State Board about this OUTRAGEOUS overcharge, failure of duty to provide even decent legal representation and damages against this law firm. I had a horrendous experience with this law group. When I met with David DiJulio, we discussed exactly how much I was able to pay for my case. He assured me that once the money from the retainer was gone, they would contact me to discuss whether I wanted to continue pursuing the case. In fact, to quote him, he said, "You have to keep paying to keep playing." This was very comforting to me, because all I needed them to do was write a letter. My case was given to Tiffany Krog, who was sitting in the room when this was discussed. She wrote the letter, and I was extremely disappointed by her writing ability. I had to help her correct simple grammar and tell her to include pertinent points of the case that I had already discussed with her during the initial meeting. After a month, the bill came. It was outrageous!!! Apparently, it cost OVER THREE TIMES what they said it would cost. David had assured me the retainer would cover the cost of the letter, but now there were ridiculous extraneous charges. I assumed there was some kind of mistake, and I tried numerous times to find out how I was being charged more than three times what I had agreed. Instead of providing me with an answer, they kept sending bills increasing in price. I finally paid the whole bill to be done with them, but I am completely disgusted with Di Julio Law Group. This is the kind of scam that gives lawyers a bad name. There are so many lawyers in the LA area; save yourself some grief, and do not even consider giving your business to them!!! read more
