After experiencing a retained miscarriage, she went to see Dr Chellappan and was given medication that did not work. She returned the next Monday and a DNC was scheduled on Thursday. On Wednesday, she sought emergency medical care when she developed signs of sepsis. Instead of receiving support from her OB-GYN, she was "fired" as a patient for seeking urgent, necessary care at the emergency room. Dr Chellappan would not do a follow up visit for her. It is unacceptable for a doctor to abandon a patient in such a vulnerable state. Patient care should be the top priority, especially in situations where life-threatening complications arise. This decision was not only cruel but also a violation of the basic principles of medical ethics. Patients deserve compassion, continuity of care, and respect--not punitive actions for making responsible healthcare decisions. I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Chellappan to look elsewhere for a provider who genuinely cares about their patients' well-being. No one should have to fear losing their doctor for prioritizing their health and safety.

Both of them are great so if your original doctor is unavailable no worries. Dr. Bhakta recently joined WCA and was the one who actually delivered my little one. I met her a couple weeks before and honestly it felt like she was my doctor the entire 9 months. Thanks to her for an incredible birth experience! Overall I would recommend WCA to anyone. My wife started her prenatal visits early in her pregnancy and was assigned to Dr. Ceesay. From the very first visit, things felt wrong. Dr. Ceesay was routinely late, showed no interest in answering questions, and often made us feel like our concerns were a burden. As first-time parents, that was devastating. At one point, Dr. Ceesay told us we were fully covered to deliver at Baylor Scott & White in Irving, and we trusted her. But when my wife later had a fall and needed an emergency checkup, we went to Baylor Scott--only to find out later from Dr. Ceesay that we were not covered there at all. She suddenly said we'd have to deliver at a hospital in Bedford, over 90 minutes away from our home, and told us that was our only option. When we expressed our concerns, her tone was cold and dismissive. At our 39-week appointment, she asked if we wanted to schedule an induction. We said we'd prefer to wait until 40 weeks. She agreed and said she'd see us next week. At our 40-week+3 appointment, she asked if we wanted a "sweep" but didn't explain what that meant. We declined because we didn't understand. After we looked it up outside the clinic and realized it could help initiate labor, we immediately went back in to ask for it. Dr. Ceesay refused, saying we'd need to book another appointment and left. We then asked her to schedule the induction. She said, "You declined last week, so now they'll fit you in whenever they want." No guidance, no support. At this point, my wife was past 41 weeks, and we had no idea when or if she'd be induced. We tried calling the clinic, sending portal messages, and leaving voicemails. No response. The front desk even hung up on me--twice. I eventually called the hospital myself. They confirmed that they were unable to reach Dr. Ceesay or her medical assistant, despite multiple attempts. After days of stress and no help from the clinic, we were finally scheduled for induction at 41 weeks and 4 days. When my wife was admitted, she had to undergo an emergency C-section--the umbilical cord was wrapped around our baby's neck, and we nearly lost him. We spoke with clinic management afterward, and they promised a follow-up within 3 days. It's been weeks. They never called back. Dr. Mamaram Ceesay's care was negligent, cold, and dismissive. She ignored our messages, abandoned us past 41 weeks of pregnancy, and showed zero compassion. If it wasn't for our own persistence and the hospital staff, we could have lost our child. If you're considering MacArthur OB-GYN in Irving--especially as a first-time parent--please think twice. The lack of communication, professionalism, and urgency could cost you everything.

She took my mental health into serious consideration and made sure I knew how important it was for me to take care of that as well as my physical health. She is also the reason why I started seeing a therapist; as she heavily recommended it at the beginning of the pregnancy and that on top of my medicine management made the whole experience so much healthier mentally than my first pregnancy. They certianly know how to put new parents at ease as we experienced from our first visit and throughout my entire pregnancy. I appreciated how Dr. Holley respected my preferred birth plan, made sure I was prepared for deviations and made the game-time decisions necessary to make it happen. In the midst of a global pandemic, I felt incredibly safe attending the necessary in-person appointments and was well informed and prepared to deliver a healthy, baby boy under new and continually changing hospital protocols. The practice is obviously busy and scheduding can be tricky. Be patient and prepared for appointment and location changes which typically occur with adequate notice. Dr. Holley will continue to be our preferred OB-GYN during this "baby season" of life and beyond.

When I was a patient, the office collected a $1,500 deposit and explained that they would file claims with my insurance and refund any remaining balance after the claims were processed. Since March, I have repeatedly followed up regarding the status of my refund and insurance claims. Each time I contacted the office, I was told that the insurance claims had been denied. However, after speaking with my insurance company multiple times, I was informed that they either had no record of the claim or that the claim had been withdrawn by the provider. My insurance company advised me to submit the claim myself and requested an itemized bill. Despite numerous requests and even providing screenshots showing exactly what my insurance company needed, the office repeatedly refused to provide an itemized bill and would only send a total balance statement. Without an itemized bill, I am unable to submit the claim myself for reimbursement. When I spoke with Nora in the billing department, she told me that I could not file with my insurance because the office's claim was still pending. I explained that I had already spoken with my insurance company multiple times and was told that they either had no record of the claim or that the claim had been withdrawn. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was simply told that they do not provide itemized bills. During that same conversation, Nora mentioned that the claims are handled by their corporate office, not the local office. This raised even more concerns because no one seemed able to provide a clear answer regarding the status of my claim or when it would be resolved. What was especially frustrating was that when I asked how much longer I should expect to wait after more than five months of delays, Nora's response was simply, "Keep calling." After months of following up, receiving conflicting information, and still not having access to the documentation I need, that response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Another major issue is that the billing department is nearly impossible to reach. They rarely answer their phone, and the only way I have been able to communicate with them is when they decide to call me back. At this point, I feel like my $1,500 deposit is being held hostage. More than five months have passed, and I still do not have a refund, a completed insurance claim, or the itemized billing documentation needed to pursue reimbursement myself. Owner, please do better. Patients deserve transparency, timely communication, and access to their own billing records. All I am asking for is one of two things: 1. Refund my $1,500 deposit and bill me appropriately after insurance is processed, or 2. Provide the itemized billing documentation my insurance company has requested so I can file for reimbursement myself. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that future patients obtain written documentation regarding deposits, insurance filing procedures, and refund policies before paying large amounts upfront.

I left a message. TWO WEEKS later someone finally returns my call. I called back to try to set the appointment and again I was instructed to leave a message. I have never experienced any medical office answer voicemails two weeks later. This left a very bad first experience as it was not only unprofessional but possibly deadly if I needed lab results or any additional follow up. I found another gynecologist in the area. This is definitely not a women's center. They don't seem to really care about women.
