I recently started seeing a provided at this office. They have 2 locations, one in north copper and one in south copper. For parking you can use the parking garage on site, you have to enter the garage off the - street. Its free to park just follow the signs. Once you park make your way to the elevator and go to the 5 floor where the office is located. When you get there turn left and you will find the office around the corner. Similar decoration style as he south office, pretty standard. Front desk staff was nice and were able to answer my questions. Once the called me they took my height and weight and took me to the patient room. Similar to the other location, they got a patient bed, a sink , a cabinet with all their tools etc. There is a half way and a chair on the other side of the room for some privacy when you change. There is a TV in the room showing a power point of all the doctors in office along with a bio of them. The decoration inside the office is minimum. I recently started going here for my yearly exams and so far I like it. I feel like this provider has more time for me when I visit and answers all my questions. I transferred out of this OB office in January 2026, and I am still trying to resolve a billing issue more than five months later. When I was a patient, the office collected a $1,500 deposit and explained that they would file claims with my insurance and refund any remaining balance after the claims were processed. Since March, I have repeatedly followed up regarding the status of my refund and insurance claims. Each time I contacted the office, I was told that the insurance claims had been denied. However, after speaking with my insurance company multiple times, I was informed that they either had no record of the claim or that the claim had been withdrawn by the provider. My insurance company advised me to submit the claim myself and requested an itemized bill. Despite numerous requests and even providing screenshots showing exactly what my insurance company needed, the office repeatedly refused to provide an itemized bill and would only send a total balance statement. Without an itemized bill, I am unable to submit the claim myself for reimbursement. When I spoke with Nora in the billing department, she told me that I could not file with my insurance because the office's claim was still pending. I explained that I had already spoken with my insurance company multiple times and was told that they either had no record of the claim or that the claim had been withdrawn. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was simply told that they do not provide itemized bills. During that same conversation, Nora mentioned that the claims are handled by their corporate office, not the local office. This raised even more concerns because no one seemed able to provide a clear answer regarding the status of my claim or when it would be resolved. What was especially frustrating was that when I asked how much longer I should expect to wait after more than five months of delays, Nora's response was simply, "Keep calling." After months of following up, receiving conflicting information, and still not having access to the documentation I need, that response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Another major issue is that the billing department is nearly impossible to reach. They rarely answer their phone, and the only way I have been able to communicate with them is when they decide to call me back. At this point, I feel like my $1,500 deposit is being held hostage. More than five months have passed, and I still do not have a refund, a completed insurance claim, or the itemized billing documentation needed to pursue reimbursement myself. Owner, please do better. Patients deserve transparency, timely communication, and access to their own billing records. All I am asking for is one of two things: 1. Refund my $1,500 deposit and bill me appropriately after insurance is processed, or 2. Provide the itemized billing documentation my insurance company has requested so I can file for reimbursement myself. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that future patients obtain written documentation regarding deposits, insurance filing procedures, and refund policies before paying large amounts upfront. read more

I am very disappointed with the service, the desk women are wonderful but Dr. Nangrani is so disrespectful with her attitude when I ask for questions for my pregnancy and planning. No doctor should not be judgmental unless there's a bad condition to push the patient to be better with their health, but this was not the case at the moment. I scheduled appointment with Dr. Joy Carter as a New Patient. Checked in Online, signed in when I got to the office, waited for over an hour and when I asked if I was going to be seen soon they said they would have to reschedule me because they didn't know I checked in. She said they have one persons sticker with name Dr seeing and arrival time and nobody else in the waiting area so CLEARLY my sticker is with someone else's file. It wasn't even the end of the day and they could get me in to be seen after I took the day off work and waited about a month for the appointment. TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!!! Although I love my doctor there, i've always been upset that they actively discourage people from getting STD testing by telling us that it might not be covered by insurance. Every single time I have to go through a big drama, reminding them that it's completely up to them, as long as they code it correctly it will be covered. It's always ended up being covered, but why I have to go over and over that with them is a mystery and it is super crazy for a women's health clinic to not be able to get this very simple thing correct since it is imperative to women's health. This is just for the billing, only: Billing, ONLY! Their billing, is useless! I have a bill that's nearing three months past due, and I have reached out three different times with the attempt to clarify the billing issue. Prior to my appointment, my insurance was verified, clarified, and understood by billing. I have a three tier insurance, this office falls under the third tier. They billed my first tier, AFTER, verifying they have to bill the THIRD tier. Again, they verified this prior to making my appointment and while checking in for my appointment. I've been with them for over twenty years, they're tight when it comes those who owe money. They will literally cancel appointments, terminate patients and send balances to your credit if you do not pay your debt. The very few times I had a balance, I immediately paid it or set up a payment arrangement. At this point, I tried to file a complaint with the BBB; but was not able; they are not accredited. I sent, ANOTHER, message to the billing department, lets see how it goes this time. At this point, I feel like the only way it will be taken care of is, if I file the claim on my own and I should not have to do that. If I were on WHS payroll, I wouldn't mind doing that. isrespectful and Unprofessional Experience During Delivery I don't usually write reviews, but what my sister went through with Dr. Jessica Brown was heartbreaking. During labor, Dr. Brown came in with an attitude and negative energy. She told my sister she "wasn't pushing good enough," questioned why the nurses called her in so early, and even complained that she missed getting her kids dressed because of it. When a nurse tried to be kind and said she wished her kids were closer in age, Dr. Brown responded, "No you don't, that's dumb." My sister cried during birth because of the rude, insensitive comments. Dr. Brown proceeded to cut the baby's umbilical cord herself without giving my mother the opportunity to do so. Not long after delivery, my sister started hemorrhaging and had to be rushed into emergency surgery because of a cervical tear. Another doctor had to step in to save her. Dr. Brown never came back to check on her, not before or after surgery, and didn't even explain what had happened. The lack of compassion and follow-up after such a serious complication was alarming. My sister was left scared, in pain, and emotionally overwhelmed about what had happened to her. No mother just giving birth should ever experience that. I'm sharing this review to encourage better accountability and to help others make informed choices. We hope Dr. Brown and the hospital will reflect on how important empathy, patience, thoroughness and professionalism are especially during childbirth. read more

My whole experience here has been terrible, if they don't answer the phones take that as your sign (I wish I did) I came in for my very first prenatal appointment, one I thought would be calming and delightful. Instead I left feeling uneasy, and in the dark. My questions couldn't be answered by the technician, so she went to talk to the doctor the came back with no answers. *SEEK CARE ELSEWHERE* I would not come here if you are a new patient. Dr Brasher-Giles does not care about patients schedules and will make them wait over an hour and 40 minutes just to be seen, with no warning that she is behind on her patient schedule because of her being in surgery. I waited an hour and 10 minutes in the lobby and the nurse said became in the room after I was finally taken back that she would still be another 30 minutes. Nurse came in and asked me "so what's going on today!" Even though I put my concerns in the paperwork that is sent before the appointment. Nurses should be informed on what is going on with the patient before hand so people aren't having to repeat themselves over and over. Saw multiple people getting upset about the same thing because they had been waiting a long time. Wish I had read the reviews before I waited over two months for this appointment. I was actually recommended to come here by my mom and I'm highly disappointed I couldn't get any help for what I'm pretty sure is fertility issues. So now, I'll have to find a new dr and wait a couple more months before I can be seen again. The front office staff at this location is terrible. They never answer the phones or return calls/voicemails. They are rude when checking you into your appointment. They fail to relay messages or send referrals to specialists. You would think knowing one of their patients has a TUMOR they are trying to get looked at by a specialist - it would create some type of urgency to DO THEIR JOB and send over paperwork. But no, they don't care. Maybe they'll get back to me today or maybe I'll die from never getting seen by the right people. Maya Kuriakose believes solely in science and not in the well-being of her patients. I was told that my insurance doesn't cover annual Pap smears over a certain age and that was not true. It came down to me calling my insurance company while I was in the office to tell her they do cover annual Pap smears. A nurse in the office overheard what was happening and pulled me to the side to let me know that my doctor should've given me the option to have one regardless to what new science has determined. What was true is that she did not believe due to science that they are required every year even after I explained my family history to her. She brushed my health concerns off and refused to discuss in addition to adding a letter in the system that I am to no longer visit a women's health services because I questioned her belief. Prior to this I requested a panel of testing during my well women's visit and she requested a separate panel which cost me hundreds of unnecessary dollars because it was not done the way it was supposed to be in line with my visit. I have never had an insurance bill over $100 and since leaving women's health services under Maya I haven't had another bill that high again. If you're looking for a doctor who's concerned about your well-being, who listens to your concerns, and acts as an upstanding doctor should this is not the person for you. read more

After seeing an OBGYN for 10 years that I felt didn't want to bother with me after she diagnosed me with fibroids, it was advised by a young lady I knew at the time to make an appt with Dr Jessica Brown.  My first appt with Dr Brown was awkward to say the least.  She actually walked into the exam room and said "Oh, this isn't the room I meant to come into".  Um ok.  She stays anyway and as you can already guess she isn't paying attention to me or what I'm saying. I tell her I have fibroids, I want to know what my options are since I still want to have kids, and I felt like my previous OBGYN wasn't providing advice on a treatment path for me.  Dr. Brown told me to get an MRI so we can better see the fibroids.  When she got up to leave she said "Now, on to the room I meant to go into".  I went ahead and got the MRI. A couple of weeks after the MRI, I made a follow up appt with Dr. Brown.  The second visit she walked into the exam room with a frown on her face and asked me what was the point of the MRI.  I told her she advised I get one.  And she asked me "But why"? So explained why I was seeing her, like I did on the first visit in which she was not paying attention to me.  She then told me that I was too old.  Wow, I'm only 42, I can still have kids.  I told her that and she told me that she would give me a myomectomy is I were in my 20's or 30's, but being in my 40's, she would just give me a hysterectomy.  I kid you not.  I told her I have a right to a myomectomy if I so choose and that's what I wanted.  I wasn't aware forced sterilization was still a thing these days.   She told me she would refer me to a specialist as she didn't have time to do one on me.  Fine with me.  So after not hearing from anyone as to the referral for about 2 weeks, it should not have taken that long, I called her nurse.  The nurse called me back and told me that Dr. Brown wanted to see me again.  So I made another appointment, and when I tell you that woman belittled me and was so uncaring and unprofessional it was not even funny.  She told me I was too old again, and proceeded to go over all the birth defects a baby can have with an older mom, she told me that babies will wake me up at all hours of the night and someone my age would not be able to handle that.  She said she would never have babies in her 40's, but thankfully she doesn't have to worry about that, she already has kids.  I was like ma'am, if you are finished, I would like my referral now.  Yes, Dr. Brown called me back in for an exam to belittle me and tell me I am unworthy of being a mother.  Also I think to get more money from my insurance.  That appt was a waste of time and unnecessary.  After that appt, I  had to keep bugging her nurse until Dr Brown finally sent the referral to a surgeon in Dallas, who told me that having a baby at 42 is not crazy.  She approved the myomectomy and the surgery was a success.  No forced sterilization like Dr Brown was suggesting.  Also I got another opinion from another OBGYN of color who had her first baby in her 40's and saw no reason why I cannot.  I'm not sure what Dr. Brown is tripping on but she needs to come down off her high horse and stop talking to women like we are idiots.  I see the other reviews with the same complaints, I'm not sure how she picks and chooses who she is going to berate, but she needs to cease and desist with all that.  I spoke to the office manager, Carla, about this, but something tells me that it wasn't effective.  I don't think Dr. Brown will be counseled, disciplined, or whatever.  There will be many more reviews after mine with the same encounter with her. read more

Went in for a routine check and slapped with medical lab bills because of how they chose to code the routine test normally covered by a women's visit. Called Cigna and verified that if they change the coding - it would not be against my deductible and they refuse. I gave this office a second chance and wish I wouldn't have. The sense of urgency is poor. Why it takes two follow up phone calls to get a prescription is beyond me. (Next day-still not called into pharmacy) I felt like a number here. Healthcare is getting worse. The doctor asked me what pills do I want to take. I thought that was her expertise to recommend based on my health history which I didn't finish because I was interrupted while completing it. I had to ask for it upon arrival. I am a high risk pregnancy and have been trying since Thursday to schedule an appointment and can not get anyone to call me back. I've tried leaving voicemails, emailing them through their site. No response. As a high risk pregnancy with very good insurance, you'd think they'd want the constant influx of payments they'll get for taking care of me. Apparently they aren't interested, even though I'm an existing patient of theirs. If I don't hear from them today I'll be seeking care elsewhere. Worse experience I have ever had, all around, from beginning to end. First you walk into a creepy hallway and enter a waiting room that hasn't been upgraded in decor since the Victorian era. They wouldn't allow husbands and/or men to wait with you. I wasn't brought to the back until 15 minutes past my appt, then I didn't see the doctor until 30 minutes past who was then rushed and only spoke at me for 5 minutes about my health concerns and proceeded to tell me I had no options. Period. A comprehensive discussion about my health concerns was something Dr. Puffer was not interested in providing. First off, I walked into the office and the receptionist was extremely rude. They gave me an Ipad to complete my pre appointment paperwork. They called me back before I ever finished it so keep in mind Dr. Kuriakose had no information whatsoever about me. They didn't take any vitals, only my weight. No blood pressure, no heart rate, etc. During my appointment Dr. Kuriakose was extremely cold and just generally didn't seem to listen to me. Then proceeded to prescribe me something with no tests, not even a blood pressure reading (which effects the meds she prescribed). She did not listen to my concerns or questions. I had to go to the 1001 Waldrop location, which is not bad for me, but I have not ever been to this location before. If you haven't, plan on having to park in a parking garage, which is connected to the building. The clinic is on the 5th floor, but I found out that the elevators also have a guide inside them. This locations office staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a visit with Dr. Jessica Brown, and despite the negative comments about her that were made months / years ago, she does not seem like that to me at all. At previous obs, I have felt intense pain during checks, that made me think that they did not know what they were doing, and neglect from my past obs that made me want to run run run! My experiences with Dr. Brown are the complete opposite. This is my second time seeing Dr. Brown and both of my visits she seemed very nice and down to earth. She seems to show concern when explaining what was going on with me and even asked me how I felt / what I wanted to do with the information that she presented to me at the time, like a Dr should. One issue though, when I got the bottom half gown thing, sorry I don't know the name but you know what I am talking about, there were a couple of stains on them. I would hope that they are washed before / after every use, but doesn't hurt to check the cloths every once in a while and replace any with stains to make patients feel comfortable. Overall, so far, very good experiences with WHS and Dr. Jessica Brown. read more

The first call they hung up the call , 2nd time they wouldn't even answer , 3rd time I was finally put on hold. I wish I looked at Yelp first, but I really needed a OBGYN for my second pregnancy. First pregnancy was a miscarriage. After my first and only visit at the cooper location, I decided to go to the waldrop location. The waldrop location is a little farther from where I live but I continued to go because the staff and Dr. Carter were really nice to me. I had a good experience while I was pregnant and they were very kind to let me know if Dr. Carter was running late. Well after I gave birth (another doctor delivered my baby), it seems like the staff were getting disorganized and did not care about me. I was due for a follow up check up with Dr. Carter after 6 weeks of giving birth. When I got there at 10:58am (appointment was at 11am), I checked in and then 5 minutes later, they told me that they tried to call me that Dr. Carter left for an emergency patient and that she left 15 minutes ago and that they were unable to leave a message on my voicemail. Well when I checked the missed call, they called only once and it was when I was walking toward the office at 10:56am. They basically lied and forgot to call me once she left the office. If it was so important they should have called more than once. For the rescheduled appointment, the staff left a voicemail saying that my appointment needed to be rescheduled again and so I called them back and they had me on hold for a while. Then when they got to me and I told them about the voicemail they left, they said that the appointment was still available and no need to reschedule. Then why leave a message to tell me to call back? When I finally met with Dr. Carter, I felt like our doctor patient relationship changed. She didn't seem friendly like before when I was pregnant. Like when she gave me a choice concerning my lifestyle and I said no, she gave me a weird stern look. If she wanted me to say yes, then why not explain to me why I should go for her opinion. And I thought I didn't need to see her anymore but she told me to schedule for another appointment. I was fine and healthy and any other appointment could have been seen by my primary care doctor. read more

I recently transferred to another OB. I had ovarian surgery and was having severe abdominal pain and I would call Dr. puffer and she would never call me back. I am now pregnant. Every time I went to go see dr. Puffer the staff was rude, short, & just plain uncaring. I wasn't allowed to bring my baby's father with me and when I was in the room with my doctor she would talk extremely fast, never asking about how I was doing, and then she would listen to the heart beat and then I was out. The front office staff needs to learn how to apologize when they make mistakes. After making a mistake causing me to be the last patient the medical assistant (who was aware of the mistake) says with the most lackadaisical attitude the lab people (whatever you call them) leave at 4:30, so you can go to this location or that one. Well I would have been able to get my lab work had it not been for you alls mistake. Maybe you should have asked the doctor if I could have done lab work first but no, then you would have had to admit your mistake. No apology, no care, nothing. I came for an annual but was told I did not need one because my last one was normal.. a lot can happen in one year so that is a silly logic. I also have an IUD that just is not working for me and when i explained to Dr. Brown that I no longer wanted this method of birth control she straight up told me "No" Its my body and If i feel like it is not working out for me then then that should be that. During my "annual" i received other preventative care test, but when I was billed, I was not billed as preventive care. Long story short, I owe over $500 for something that I didnt need a test for because I know my body. This place just wants your money, it is unprofessional and the wait is long. She suggested the problem came from something that didn't relate to me at all. She was belittling in her demeanor, dismissive of my problem, and had no compassion at all. The lady who checked me in, I hate I forgot her name but she was great too. I didn't have a very long wait time, once you think you are about to look at your watch, they are coming. I admit I was worried starting all over with a new doctor but they exceeded my expectations. They listened. My old doctor, Dr. Finke retired from USMD and I was beyond happy that the MAGA doctor retired, I wasn't going back had she returned. Finding a new Dr. can be stressful. I have been going to Dr. Bergstrom for over 10 years. I wish she was a general practitioner because if she was, I would actually go to the doctor when I am sick. I have also ended up seeing Drs. Peppler and Brown, and they are excellent as well. I am always treated very respectfully in this office, never herded around like cattle (as in have experienced at other OBGYNs). I love that they have 2 locations, and each are both held to the highest standards. I cannot say enough that I wish I could find a general practitioner like these wonderful people. This office is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I never even got far enough to see a Dr to give a review on them because of how trash this office is. They wouldn't schedule my first prenatal visit until after 8 weeks which was ok made sense. It was just an ultrasound apt and lab work which was interesting but ok no problem. Then after I completed that they wouldn't schedule me to see a physician until after 12 weeks. I was struggling with really bad nausea and vomiting and had just been waiting to see a Dr but when it turned out I had to wait even further I left a message with the nurse to call me about my nausea. No one ever called. Then I tried calling the office and left message and still never received any call back. So I was disappointed in how the process was going already at such an early stage so started looking at other offices (mind you I still have my apt with Dr Puffer after 12 weeks). The new office asked for my records at this office (which wasn't much just an ultrasound and lab work) which took a few weeks to work out but then the new office called and said they had to decline me due to being too busy around my due date. I still had my apt with this office and in fact received a message from the pharmacy that Dr Puffer (who I was scheduled to see) sent a prescription to my pharmacy for zofran. Two weeks after I left all those messages and never received a call. But hey better late than never so since the new office didn't have room I just decided I'll stay with this office. Now I go to my apt and they said it was cancelled since I asked to have my records sent to the other office. Mind you, I got the prescription weeks after requesting my records to be sent so how would they send prescriptions to people who are not their patients? Anyways, I was upset but tried to be understanding and saw how me asking to be transferred could be perceived as wanting to cancel my apt so I said let's reschedule. Oh no, now they said I had to call the other office to have them send BACK my records. I was like "don't you have it in your data base, surely you don't send the original reports to the office and only send copies?" They said no that's their process you have to ask to get the records they sent over BACK which is the most dumb thing I have ever heard. I'm a nurse supervisor and have been working in the healthcare field for a long time and can tell you this office is ridiculous. Super disappointing. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

If I could provide 0 stars I would. Dr. Carter, Dr. Brown and their assistants are the absolute WORSE!! Long story short. I had an abnormal pap and biopsy. I had an app. today for a medical procedure to obtain a large portion of my cervix. I arrive on time for the procedure. And was told I have to pay $917!! I inquired about a payment plan. I was advised they would not perform the procedure without full payment. NO ONE told me in advance I had a payment due at the time of service. I'm furious that my health is in jeopardy and they allowed me to waste my time and energy. Let's hope I don't have cervical cancer. If anyone is considering Women's Health Services. I loveee the staff at both locations. They are so sweet and helpful, I had the easiest pregnancy going through Women's Health Services. Dr.Brown is the best , she is always honest and can find a solution for any problem you may be experiencing. She delivered both my babies one in October 2018 and one on September 2020. I went in the first time with Dr. Brown. I knew I needed a surgery because I had already gone through ultrasounds and an MRI. I told her I was sure I wanted do surgery (it was the best decision for me) she didn't want to do it and told me multiple times (because of my age). She asked me what my symptoms were and LAUGHED AT ME in front of my face she said NONE of my symptoms were related. She gave me a prescription for a Nuvaring when I told her I'm abstinent and it would hurt to insert anything in. I went to another doctor who figured out what was wrong with me just by my Symptoms and my MRI report (which was the same one I gave her) he did my surgery and I don't regret it I'm 3 weeks post op read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about this clinic for women. Dr Bergstrom was recommended by my neighbor when I moved to Arlington back in 2016 and this is where I remain. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and Dr Bergstrom has excellent "bedside manners". She always enters the examining room with a big smile on her face! Update- If you want to avoid excessive medical bills, and miscarriages AVOID Dr. Maya Kuriakose. I came in January 2023 due to painful periods, heavy bleeding, frequent urination, and extreme bleeding; all which were new symptoms. Knowing I have a family history of fibroids, I suspected that to be the cause. Dr. K, performed a very brief pelvic exam and said everything looked fine. My entire quality of life has diminished; so, I pushed for an ultrasound as I knew something was wrong. The results revealed I only had one fibroid and a right ovarian cyst. I pushed to see a specialist and have them removed and she insisted that I leave things as is, although, I'm tearing up in front of her bc of the pain. I left her office feeling frustrated, ignored and angry. I eventually got pregnant in February 2023 (less than a month later) and it is now determined that I'm experiencing a ectopic pregnancy and that I have several fibroids, not ONE. Considering that I was ignored and not valued, I decided to find a specialist to investigate the ectopic. Thankfully, I determined that I didn't need a referral to see a specialist otherwise I'd still be in the dark! It was determined that I have a fibroid so large in my uterus that I have to get it removed surgically and it's likely that it caused my ectopic. Had Dr. Kuriakose listened to my concerns, me accumulating thousands in medical bills, missed days from work and the possibility of me dying due to the ectopic could have been avoided.
