I have to say that my entire experience at Dillard's was exceptional. I'm saying this as someone who's not even Dillard's or department store fan. I'm usually a customer of Dillard's for something small or in passing. It's never my destination. During my latest visit it was actually my destination for shoes. I needed sparkly sneakers for a Sneakerball, and Dillard's had the perfect pair! AMBIANCE: This store is tucked away in Beachwood Mall. The lighting in the store and the fashions make it feel like Saks or Nordstrom, not Dillard's. Meaning it's a lot more ritzy. It has pockets of high end brands, and the entire store presents very well. INVENTORY: Dillard's recently really started keeping up with the times. Compared to its competition, it's really fashion-forward. Around the holidays, I noticed that there are a lot of very trendy dresses in relevant colors and gorgeous fabrics. They are also very well styled with faux furs hugging the shoulders or sparkly boleros. There are also exciting party shoes - sparkly, with bows, and all the shimmer! You can really envision and build the entire outfit. I was really impressed with this recent shift of modernization. I even asked myself - Am I really at Dillard's? SERVICE: The service was truly five star. I was in a hurry (story of my life) and needed to quickly located the shoe department. I asked an employee at another department who provided me with very detailed directions. She was super friendly. Staff was pleasant as I made my way through the department store, smiling and nodding. My interactions at the shoe department were similarly warm. The sales associate told me she'll be right with me, immediately found the shoes I wanted, and was extremely friendly. I observed her interactions with other customers and she was providing very personalized service. It was probably among the best customer service interactions at department stores. Seriously great service. She was also as excited as I was about my sparkly sneakers with holiday lights purchased from Betsey Johnson collection. I will say that these sneakers were pricier here than at other retailers. I paid over $100. So many people complimented me on these shoes that it feels like I got my money's worth. I would recommend a visit to this store. The setup makes it feel luxe, the service is extremely cordial, and you experience can be flawless from start to finish. Honestly, couldn't find any fault in my whole time here. I plan to return shortly to look for New Year Eve dress. I'll have to first figure out what to do for NYE. Do I need Dillard's faux furs and bow bedazzled shoes? Or something more subtle? read more

The dog I saw wasn't a service animal at all and this lady was walking around no problem so from now on Dillard's gets four and above stars. I learned Origin's no longer sells cosmetics! I had come wanting to refresh my home supply. I did buy the wonderful skin care moisturizer from Dr. Weil and an eye cream. Jackie Dubin in the shoes department was fantastic!! I came to this store looking for a comfortable pair of shoes that I could wear for 12 hour shifts on my feet. Jackie enthusiastically guided me through different brands and fits of shoes to help me find the best dress shoe for me. She was very knowledgeable and honest. She was not interested in making a sale I felt as if she really wanted to help me. In today's retail industry it is hard to find people that have experience and are engaging in their practice. My daughter and I decided to go shopping for some undergarments and I cannot think of a better place to go other than Dillard's. COVID makes it really hard to get measured and fitted, but the girl who took us made sure we were in clean rooms and she used appropriate social distancing while working with both of us to try on bras. Granted, the experience took far longer than usual, so if you do this, be sure to plan ahead. Overall, it was excellent and we left with some beautiful Wacoal bras and panties. Dillard's at Beachwood Place is a staple. They have been at this location for as long as I can remember. They always have super nice brands and a TON of merchandise. The store is clean and well lit. Truthfully, its not my favorite place to shop since the store is constantly jammed packed. I actually stopped going there years ago when my kids were young. I could not get the stroller down any eisle. I happen to wander in looking for a specific brand of socks. I know it sounds crazy that I am complaining that there is too much merchandise.... but its true. I get disoriented and dizzy looking at it all...seriously. read more

Visiting the area and shopping, I found exceptionally helpful and polite associates in this store, in the Beechwood shopping mall. The store was clean and displays were neat, but the people made the difference finding things I liked versus just browsing. Miguel in shoes, Cameron in cosmetics, Naz in jewelry spent the time and effort necessary to make sure I found just what I needed. I also lost my handmade glasses case (a gift from a relative) and Taryn in jewelry made the extra effort to help me locate the case on the following day. Cashiers in the kid's department in Beachwood, Ohio branch are all always rude, every time I ask for a gift receipt, they ignore me and refuse to print me a gift receipt.I don't understand why and how hard would be for them to do it. one time they told me we don't do it anymore, then a week later I got a gift for my baby and of course there is a Dillard's gift receipt inside the bag . I always shop for makeup at the Dillard's store in Beachwood Mall. Manager, Laura Zolata, works at the Lancome counter. Laura is always so helpful. She goes out of her way to help her customers. I buy a lot of makeup as Christmas presents. I give her a list and my makeup is always ready for pickup saving me time and trouble. On special items out of stock, no problem. Laura will always go the extra yard in making sure she can locate the item for you and ship it when it comes in. Laura is more than a sales manager, she is a valued friend to me. Dillard's is a great alternative to Macy's. I have always been able to find a different and great selection of Polo Ralph Lauren clothing and other items here that weren't available at Macy's back home in Pittsburgh. The staff are always helpful and I never have to wait long to pay and go. Several times during a sale I went to check out and the sales person had a coupon next to the cash register and used it for me so I could get extra savings off my purchase. Nothing like buying a $145 shirt for $17.99. The men's shoe department is just as good. Very knowledgeable sales people that are not pushy at all and don't ask you every 5 minutes if you need help. The men's fragrance counter on the other hand is very pushy and try to make you feel like you have to buy something. They are very similar to a used car sales person. I completely avoid the fragrance counter now altogether so I won't get hassled. This location is a must stop whenever I'm in Cleveland. read more

I wish there is a choice for zero rating. Avoid Dior Cosmetics counter at any cost or thoroughly review your items before you leave. A few days ago my husband and I paid our first visit to this Dillard's and purchased two bottles of perfumes from Dior counter as Xmas gift to me. The saleslady was pretty friendly, and we did not pay any attention to what she packed in the box. I opened the box today, and immediately noticed something fishy because one bottle has plastic wrapping while the other does not have any. Indeed, the one without wrapping only has 1/3 perfume left. Talking about $100 perfume!!! I am very very upset. And I suspect the saleslady did it on purpose. Now we had to make a return trip! Sucks! read more

I have never left a review for a department store but I have never encountered someone with such great customer service. I was running through the mall to find my bestfriend a fascinator for her bridal shower. She ordered one online but it ended up being one of those what I ordered versus what I received issues. I asked a nice young lady (I think her name was Azurane) if they had any fascinator. She showed me the section and offered to search the stockroom. As I went searching, I successfully for one lone fascinator and it was perfect. She returned and was apologetic but when I showed her I found one, she did a little celebration jig with me. Dillard's is Dillard's. There's not much to say about the place that most people don't already know. But here goes: I'll be honest, I get lost in here. I get lost in most department stores. I just can't seem to figure out my way around. I'll continue being honest, I only come here for undergarments. The sales are surprising and with extra discounts sometimes piled on, you can make it to the cash register and pay significantly less than you thought you would. One time I spent less than I would have on one garment for 5 or 6. What a pleasant surprise! Also, if you're curious about sizing, they're glad to help you, which is nearly life changing. Ladies, I really suggest you do this. Customer service in this department is great. They leave you alone, which is nice because if you're accosted one too many times in the intimates section, I think we can all agree it just gets awkward and frustrating. read more

Dillard's really just another large department store but in my opinion is of better quality, cleanliness, employee assistance, and departmental layout then places such as JCP and Sears, Macy's being a close 2nd. I just went to Dillards and purchased men's cologne and the lady working the counter was very patient with me, letting me fumble around the department for 20-30 minutes before making my purchase. Dillard's at Beachwood is the flagship of the Cleveland area Dillard's locations. This is one of the bigger locations, and offers a larger selection than some of their other area stores. I want to share that it is not the closest Dillard's to my home, but is worth the drive. I can count on this location to have what I want. Their Men's Clothing department is the best - variety, selection, nice retail display. Sales associates knowledgeable and helpful. Home Furnishings/China department is amazing - Beth is a wonderful sales associate. Bought many Fitz & Floyd Christmas pieces there this year as well as other dishes and throws. The shoe department has one of the best selections, in color, style, price and fit. The sales people are eager to help and make suggestions. It can get kind of crowded, but perhaps that's because it's one of the few places to find those hard-to-find colors. I recently went clothing shopping for my husband at Dillard's at Beachwood Place and found the experience to be just okay. The service was fantastic, however the store itself felt very congested and the product displays were very unorganized. The store is also looking slightly outdated. I had to navigate my way through various display racks in order to eventually find what I was looking for. Ample, well-lit parking is available in the parking lot, as well as in the garage. I am generally a fan of Dillard's. But NOT this location. Earlier in the day I was at the South Park Dillard's and I asked them to call the Beachwood Dillard's to hold a few items for me. Before she even picked up the phone she said, "The Beachwood store never answers its phone." So I decided to drive over there and get the items myself since I was on that side of town. Well, now I know why they don't answer the phone. Because there is NO ONE around. Good luck finding an employee to help you or check you out. If you do find one in women's designer wear, that person is usually talking to another employee. Dillard's HR really needs to set some better hiring and service standards at this location. Or put those old school bells that you ring (incessantly) to get someone's attention. Thank God Nordstrom and even Macy's carries a lot of the same merchandise (and way better).
