Refreshing! I encountered Lorraine, in the "Better Dresses" department. Not only does she know her dept. and what she has, she knows body types and how to best accent them. I felt as if I had brought a friend and advocate with me to shop! Even though she had three (3), other ladies to attend to, I never felt neglected, nor bypassed. Lorraine, impressed me with her non-rushed manner and kindness. And yes, I found the perfect dress that not only fits me, it compliments my body type and style. I sincerely hope her management recognizes the amazing asset they have? I know I will be back to shop with Lorraine. read more

waited like 30 min for an associate to help me in shoes. ended up asking a lady for help finding a diff color shoe on display. she brings back the same pair on display and said we don't have what i'm looking for. i asked for three other different kinds of shoes and they had absolutely nothing i was looking for. i wanted this to be an experience especially since the mall is closing soon, but now i understand why. seemed like nobody in the store wanted to wait on me. i wanted to try on a few different display shoes but it just seems like they are trying to get customers out of the door. completely unhelpful, might as well make the drive to Naples at least there they will act like they want to help me instead of sending me on my way. definitely lost some business. read more

Woman at register directly in front of upstairs escalator refused to take back my shirt for a return. I had the shirt, the bag, the receipt, and the tags, and the shirt was in brand new unused never worn condition and was purchased yesterday. She immediately took an attitude when I asked to make a return and said it's been worn it's destroyed the tags are removed it's not returnable. I stayed calm and explained that the receipt says 30 day guarantee and it's been 1 day. I also said the shirt is in perfect new unused never worn condition and that the tags do not have to be on the shirt because the receipt also says receipt OR tag can be used to return the shirt. I had BOTH and since I had the receipt it did not matter if the tags were removed since the shirt could be returned without the tags entirely. She KEPT MY RECEIPT and sent me to customer service manager who did the return without the receipt and apologized for the other woman's rude behavior. Keep in mind this was a return of a $39.00 shirt on a $747 receipt. Unfortunately I will not be back to this Dillards location after this upsetting experience. read more

Terrible return policy! I tried to return a dress that I bought on sale. I was informed that it couldn't be returned because they only have a 3 day return policy on sale items. Had the clerk told me that when I made the purchase or if there been at least been a sign stating this, I would not have purchased the dress. Shame on you Dillard's for hiding your policy. You have lost a customer over your deceptive practices. read more

Went in for a bra fitting with my sister and mother today. The woman who was doing the fitting was nice enough, until we started actually looking at bras. She immediately took my sister to a $72 bra which is outside of her budget. My mother said "we don't have to buy a bra here" to which the Dillards associate promptly stated that we HAD to get a bra there, that this was her job. I fully understand commission jobs but the department was empty besides us so to essentially demand that we buy a bra or she would not complete the fitting, even if their bras did not suit our needs was a bit predatory. No one should feel obligated to buy by a sales person. Will not be coming back to this place. read more

I came here 2 days ago. I felt that the sales lady in the Calvin Klein department, Maria, was very pushy. It was 5:00 and I had just walked out of the dressing room with my dress and she kept asking me if I'm getting it and trying to take it from me. I said that I'm getting it but I wanted to look at some things downstairs first. However, she roughly asked me if I was going to take long because she is about to leave her shift and pushed me to just buy the dress first from her and then go downstairs afterwards. The other sales reps are very nice but this one was a bit much. read more

Now that my credit card has been used for an unauthorized purchase i see all the red flags. Went in to make a purchase in the bra department. . The associate said "can you place these on hold for a week because there is a promotion next Wednesday to receive a free towel with a $100 purchase. ". Well I fell for it then proceeded to watch her write down my credit card number, exp date AND security code on a piece of paper. I stood there in disbelief. She assured me that the paper would be Locked in the office for a week. I had a bad feeling and went back the next day to ask for that piece of paper back. The associate had the manager with her the second time and they both assured me it was secure. Of course today there is an unauthorized payment on my card to a car wash that has been closed for 3 years. (I blame myself for letting her get away with it). Hopefully this will prevent one other person from being scammed. read more

It's Clinique bonus time! I need my Clinique and since some things need replacing I usually wait until stores in area have a bonus time. The girl behind counter was extremely pleasant! I needed to change to some new items as I'm getting older (I know, thanks for not noticing). She was patient so o wouldn't be dissatisfied when I got home. Also, made sure items had sunscreen for my pale Irish DNA skin. I need a few more items but waiting for another bonus in area ... No pressure from sales clerk. read more

This is a well stocked, clean store with mostly friendly and helpful store clerks however my wife and I (snowbirds age 70 and 67) were browsing in the jewelry department last Sunday afternoon and an older (around our age) blonde lady salesclerk stalked us like we were potential shoplifters. She never asked if she could help us and she definitely did not act friendly. She watched us like a hawk, following us around as we browsed. It was an extremely creepy and insulting experience. My wife said she will never go back into that Department. I would give the store 5 stars except for this experience. read more

Fabulous experience today. We are new to the area, just bought a home this past spring. Went to Dillard's today and was greeted by AnnMarie in the women's department. I was looking for shorts and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable and directed me to 3 great pair of shorts! I look forward to returning to the Dillard's in Ft Myers and being helped by AnnMarie! She clearly loves her job and exudes a positive and cheery artist use. She is welcoming and kind. Please please, do not waste your money on anything in the store. I purchased a Fossil watch from this location about 40 days ago and when I got home I realized that the battery was likely dead because the watch wouldn't keep time. I replaced the battery because I like the watch and it was a good price ,as it was on clearance for $69. 2 more battery changes later I realize its not a dead battery but a dysfunctional watch. Today I try to take it back for an exchange or refund happily willing to take an exchange for merchandise, but I was told because it was past 30 days so I couldn't have either one. So I paid nearly 75 dollars in cash for a watch that does not function. Even smaller retail stores such as TJ Maxx and Marshall offer for merchandise exchange when it is past 30 days. Also being in the store and browsing is an uncomfortable experience because there are security guards in uniform walking around store. They peer and watch you as you shop for fragrance or jewelry. I realize their shoplifters around but willing customers do not feel welcome when they are being watched. I won't be going back. At least when you go to Macys or even high end department stores like Nordstrom you are made to feel welcome and you are free to enjoy shopping without making a purchase read more
