Dillard's is the last mid-priced department store that still delivers a luxury shopping experience. While similar businesses have had a decline in the quality of inventory, or (my shopping pet peeve) moved all the registers to the front to corral the cash wrap, at Dillard's, you can still check out in the department. Went to buy a tuxedo for my middle school son who had an important event. The size 14 coat and the size 18 pants fitted him perfectly. However they refused to sell them separately. So I decided to buy both sets(14 and 18). However they could not find the size 14 pants. Despite requesting the floor manager Tracey/Tracy did not budge. Left the store empty handed! Overpriced, and poor service from management. Was looking to return a Christmas gift with the receipt and they would not put it back on the card. Not only that but the manger was young and rude and came in with an attitude. I guess "manager" doesn't always mean much in retail. I picked up an online order, it was a gift. I wanted it gift wrapped. The sales person handed me my item and immediately walked away. He never came back. I stood at the counter for a while. Ladies!!! I am spilling the tea I am not sure if I should but it is my duty as a frustrated woman to do so. I go to the mall pretty often and I found that Dillard'sin Hulen Mall has a HUGE perk. Right in plain sight!!! I know, for me, I get frustrated with public restrooms. The lines, the lack of cleanliness, the smell....eeek!!! Well, I found a gem. Clean, huge, and so refreshing. Head over to the lingerie area, go all the way towards the back and there they are - nice, private, fresh restrooms. No lines!!! I would definitely ask a employee before going back there. Its just a wonderful perk when you walking around Dillards shopping, trying on cosmetics, testing the latest scents. Come to think of it Dillards is totally a one-stop shop. I may reconsider getting a Dillards card at this point. There is a accessible stall complete with sink and paper towels (inside the stall). There is a clean changing station. AND, to top it off, Dillards samples throughout. Now, I'm sure Dillards needs you to be a patron to use AND I am positive this is mainly for employees but the allow patrons to use it. I have been a long time customer (45 yrs) of Dillard's, but they are ok for losing my business over a $17 clearance item that did not fit. I did not see the "3 day return" on the receipt and I have never known that to be policy on clearance. ( I purchased only 1 week ago and live 1 hour away from mall ) Extremely bad customer service policy and they can say goodbye to this customer for good since manager would not budge on refunding my $17 back. read more

If I could give these people a zero I would. Today my family went to get a pair of shoes and the shoes I chose were some on a table, I asked for my size and the lady gave it to me. When it was time to pay the manager yanked the shoes away and said "I am not selling those shoes TO YOU!" Mind you they were on display and the lady had already give me the box of shoes with my size. The man kept on speaking to me in a mocking manner and look me from toe to head. The mimicked what I said and then said "I can sell them to you, but you can't take them until past May 22nd. It was nice to go into a department store that still has customer service and help. I went to look for some new bed sheets. Unfortunately their selection has shifted to more of something I'd expect to see at Target rather than Dillards. They used to have quality product lines but now they'll carry anything labeled "Southern Living". Still it was a nice visit. They wouldn't let me return boots so I posted a negative review. Two months later they respond and tell me to email customer service. No I will not take more of my time to email customer service. I've already spent my time going to your store and trying to return boots and writing one bad review. Was referred here by many women for a bra fitting. Deidra helped me and she was absolutely incredible. I'd been fitted at other places like Nordstrom and it was always a little less discreet but this experience was amazing. Deidra was super attentive, I don't have a super normal size or normal needs and she was so patient, willing to get me more bras to try on then more bras then more bras after that. I heard her helping other women with the same exceptional service. She was amazing in a world where customer service has completely gone to the gutter. The entire store was incredibly well stocked, organized and pleasant. I haven't been in a department store in quite awhile and it was a great experience! read more

This Dillards is nice but my rating is for Kenny Dean in Menswear. He should be fronting a Neiman Marcus or Barneys New York - my husband needed a jacket/trousers and he was so helpful, gracious, funny and informative. While my husband was in the changing room, he actually put together an outfit to show us how the trousers, jacket and shirt could look. He's expert on what's in style, what's out and what's coming back in style. Not pushy at all but goes all out to ensure you get the right look. Thank you, Kenny! We'll be back! read more

Thank you for caring to respond to me a year later. I would like to say that I recently revisited your store and had a much better experience. We were purchasing a homecoming dress for my daughter. Unfortunately the one she wanted had a stain but we were able to find an alternative solution. Dillards has always been the go to place since I was a young child but my has times changed. I gave it 3 stars because the lady that saw us walking around (after being overlooked yet again) took our items and gave us a dressing room. Also, she was the one that found the stain in the dress and upon our return to the dressing room she'd already put in a dress that she thought my daughter would like. You need more staff like her. It was like day and night in customer service experience. Cathy by Donna Karan ladies clothing was screaming at a Chinese lady (her co-worker). I felt uncomfortable shopping. When Cathy left, I went to to shop at her section. I felt relieved and could shop at piece. Later, she came back I asked another lady to start a room for me, concern that Cathy would scream at me too. She looked mad. The whole shopping experience around her was stressful. On the other hand, I have seen the Chinese lady before. She was very helpful. I was carrying some items and she offered to start a room for me. She is very pleasant. Today, she looked unease, I am sure it was by the way she was being treated. So sad that Dillard's would allow their employees to be disrespected and bully. I went in on 10/3 to look for a leather recliner and sofa. The clerk never acknowledged nor asked if I needed help. I heard her asking other people if they needed her help but they was just walking through. I sat in all of the leather recliners and tried them out then left. Honestly a fairly boring shopping experience. But they do have some brands I want to wear.

I attempted to return a dress I purchased for my daughter a week ago. The dress had a manufacturer's defect and the zipper broke on the first time she wore it. When I took it back to the counter where we purchased it, the young lady employee told me in a very rude and snotty tone that "I know we didn't sell you the dress like that" and that they wouldn't return my money, despite the fact that I had the receipt and proof of purchase sticker. She told me to go to customer service. I went to customer service where another snotty employee said the manager told her they wouldn't take it back because the tags weren't on it. I asked her, who goes around wearing clothes with the tags on? She agreed but said the manager told her no. Additionally, it wouldn't matter that the tags weren't on the garment as they couldn't resell it anyway. Finally I encountered someone with some sense who told her that it was a manufacturer's defect, which their return policy clearly references as a valid reason for return, and I got my money back. Granted my blood pressure was extremely elevated due to dealing with the idiocy and nonsensical excuses by these employees. My advice is to take caution when purchasing anything here, and if you have to make a return, get ready to have a verbal sparring session with the half witted employees of Dillards at the Hulen Mall. read more

The lady manager I talked to on the phone was extremely unhelpful to try to resolve a problem I had. She didn't try to resolve it or act like she even cared. She was rude, too. The male manager was very helpful when I called and told me how to handle the initial issue. I have shopped at Dillard's for years and was an elite card member. I found it ridiculous that they charge $10 to ship an item that is the size of a pencil. The clerk said was going to over ride the shipping charge since they initially gave me the wrong item and I had to make two trips to the store during a pandemic. The clerk said they don't keep much inventory in the store. Seems to me that if that is the case, they should ship it for free. Most other stores will do that. read more

Lord help me when I go here - I've come to accept that I will receive actually zero service. The shoe department is well stocked (which is why I go there) but the staff has always been less than attentive. I've even gone so far as to see the shoe in the store and simply order it online for delivery. I can't stand begging for service in a department store. read more

Dillard's is my preferred big box department store. They usually have a better selection in shoes, make up and women's clothing. I adore the girls that work at the MAC counter in this location. They are so sweet and never pushy- even when they are slammed on the weekends. read more

Rita and another shorter lady in the Polo Ralph Lauren section made me feel very uncomfortable while shopping. They kept persistently taking my clothing and trying to escort me to the dressing room.
