We ordered shoes on line and went to pick at the store. When we walked in we're not greeted I said hi and the employee looked very bothered and replied with did you need help. We responded with we picking up some shoes. She asked for name and when and grabbed them. She handed the bag to my husband. Again she seemed like she was bothered and did not want to be there . My husband tried to find seating to try on the shoes but they only had 2 chairs. He opened the box to try on the shoes and only one shoe. So we told them we only got one shoe. Karia or Kara I am sorry I hope I spelled it right. Came over friendly and grab the other shoe. She made sure we were happy with the fit. She explained all the sales they had going on. Went to Jos A. Bank to find my wedding suit (I'm the groom). When I walked in, a male employee asked if I needed help. Told him what I was looking for, and he picked a suit jacket and pants out. Didn't seem very interested and his attitude seemed like he didn't wanna be there. Went to the fitting room and tried it on. I asked the tailor if she could tell me my measurements, so I know what to look for because I was still shopping around different places. The attitude changed when I guess she realized I was not immediately buying the suit there. So she told me she couldn't. All she can do is mark the suit where it needed to be altered. So I asked, "I need to buy the suit before you can tell me anything?" She paused for a second and said that's all she can do and I'd have to buy it. She then sort of told me how it's supposed to fit, but still didn't measure. She then told my fiancé "I'm sorry I have to get back to my job". We immediately left. I went to men's warehouse down the street and was immediately greeted, and measured as soon as I walked in the door (His name was Austin). He told me my measurements and was very excited to help. He stayed with me the whole time and picked out exactly what I was looking for. He talked to my fiancé to get good ideas and gave his opinions on the look as well. I ended up paying 3x the amount of what I would have payed at Jo's A. Bank, but in the end it was worth it because it was perfect and the experience was awesome. I don't understand how it's such a difficult task to help people and make them feel welcome. Not to mention (not sure if it's store policy), everyone at men's warehouse were dressed in full suits and looked sharp. Compared to polo shirts at Jos A. Bank. read more

Jos a Banks has fallen off. I brought in a suit to alter, bought two from them, paid for alterations. Came back. They lost one suit, and misplaced another. I had to reorder a suit. Left and came back. They had the pants too long. Left and came back. The buttons on the jacket were stitched out of order. Left and came back. The pants had to be redone cuz was still too long and they had stitching showing up on the outside the pants and all in the pockets. Finally after I get everything home, wear the jacket only to find they did the button wrong when altering sleeves. That's 5 total trips to that place. And it would take a 6th to get my jacket fixed. I live on the other side of town, that is ton of wasted driving back n forth. They told me the tailer was better than the one in arilington, but that is a lie. Every thing was wrong. On top of that one lady was completely rude the whole time. Another older lady I dealt with before at the arlington location, has that I know what you want attitude. No woman can tell me how my clothes to fit on me. i'm the customer, I know what I want. And it they smell like a cigarette factory. Made me sick to my stomach. It's sad the ones in Cedar Hill and Arlington closed down cuz they was close to home and much better. I hope they do better cuz them suits are expensive so I expect better treatment than that. Won't ever be going back to this location. All locations were in upscale areas. And if they couldn't keep the Cedar Hill/Arlington locations open, I don't see hope for Ft Worth either. read more

I went in to the store around 6 pm today to buy a shirt. I walked in and waited for 20 minutes and not one employee acknowledged or greeted me in all that time though I was standing around making it obvious I needed assistance. I needed to be measured so I could get the right size shirt in the style I had selected. Miesha was the female employee who was ignoring me and even though she hadn't spoken to me I was waiting patiently for her to finish up with the customer she was helping. But then something very rude happened. After I waited for 20 minutes even though she was helping someone, someone else came in and she loudly greeted the and asked what brings him in. He was there to pickup a suit rental and even though she was still helping someone, she stopped that and went to the back and got the suit for him, again still ignoring me even though I had been there waiting all this time. After this happened I asked to speak with the manager and was told it was Felicia and I told her what happened and I only got a brief insincere 'I'm sorry' and she tried to move over it without acknowledging Miesha's and her other employee whom I'd tried to get help from horrible customer service. I love Jos A Banks clothes but I promise you I will tell everybody what rude and poor service this store gives to people. I have know idea why they couldn't tell me they would be with me shortly or how to check-in but I'm truly turned off by this incident. read more

My family was in a very particular bind and in mourning. Brodie and Tiffany were behind helpful and made a difficult process a breeze for my husband. Walked in and a older gentleman made direct Eye contact with me, turned his back on us then pointed to a rep to go serviced us. Just RUDE! I was so put off I didn't want to give them my money so I told my fiancé' I didn't like the suit he tried on. So we went to Q Clothier in Shops at Clearfork and dropped $1200 on a suit in 30 mins. Great customer service gets you great commission. Never going back!! read more

Lacey is a queen. You feel welcomed and she looks out for your best interest. 10/10. Now, when I called to ask where my suit was, I was given, very backhanded, passive aggressive questioning by another associate. If you don't know much about suits, and just need one for a wedding I suggest somewhere else, or just dealing with Lacey. Stopped by for a new suit. I was promptly greeted by Chuck, and was quick to help me with getting the right suit. Chuck was awesome, friendly, and very helpful. I left out their getting exactly what I was needing and looking for. Chuck took the time to make sure my suit was measured correctly to be altered. I'm extremely upset with the level of service I have received from Joseph A Bank. We thought they would be the better choice for a group suit rental for our wedding, but that turned out to be a huge mistake. From the beginning we had issues trying to set it up, their staff didn't really seem to know how it worked or what they were doing. I picked out the suits and accessories for the groomsmen for the rental. When one of them went in for the fitting initially he was having trouble with the group reservation, the attendant telling him that his name was not on the reservation for a rental. When I called to double check they did it correctly, because I filled out with all the guys' names, the person I spoke to told me only the groom's name was on the list for rental. At that point I was getting very annoyed as the groom was not even going to rent a suit, he was buying a custom suit. Finally got transferred to someone else who seemed to be able to figure things out. That person read off the names listed for rentals and verified the reservation. When the men went back they were able to get fitted however their tailors seem incompetent. Upon going back to pick up the suits, two of the groomsmen couldn't take them because the tailor had shortened the sleeve 2 inches too short and it needed further alterations. Well, when going back instead of letting it out 2 inches the tailor took it up another 2 inches making the sleeve 4 inches too short. But by that time it was the day before the wedding snd nothing could be done, so he had to just go looking ridiculous in the suit and unable to remove his jacket the entire time due to the 4 inch too short sleeves. As if that wasn't bad enough, none of the groomsmen got their vests that were included in the rental package I chose. We also never received our group deposit back as promised. After we got back from our honeymoon I went up there to speak to Brody, the store manager. I expressed my extreme discontent and he did not seem the slightest bit surprised, as of it's a common occurrence for them to screw up so royally on suit rentals. He took down my information and assured me he'd get ahold of corporate and get back to me with a resolution. Lets see it's been a month now, I've called 3 times since my visit to the store and still no resolution nor refunded deposit. This place has despicable customer service and work ethic. read more

Jos. A. Banks has been the staple of upscale corporate clothing (both work and leisure) for a generation. Nothing one purchases there is ever outre, risque, or out of taste - Dwight D. Eisenhower could walk in and feel comfortable shopping there. It's not "fun preppy" like Jonathan Ashe, it's not "East Coast" like Brooks Brothers or J. Press, but it is a solid no nonsense place for men's clothes. (Remember the old book, "Dress for Success"? Shop here to follow it's advice) Richard Pehl is an amazing salesman however, so I recommend a visit just to receive his outstanding attention. Note, many corporate HR departments have set up discount accounts for their employees -- I set one up for ours -- so ask if your employer has applied for a corporate discount account and save a little on the price. read more
