I ordered the Harvest pizza from the seasonal menu and the woman working the bar recommended I dip it in some oil and sea salt which really elevated the already dynamic flavors already present! I was able to sample the ribs which have a sweetness up front followed by a kick in the back, bringing again, a dynamic flavor to a classic dish. I love feta but that was way too much. $38 personal pizza. I'm not cheap but I'm not an idiot either. Ambiance was very nice. But this was prob the most expensive meal I have ever bought since my wedding. My wife and I shared a pizza and a salad. The other 3 had pretty much the same. There was 3 more pizzas for the adults and they did a pepperoni for the kid. 4 beers, 2 Cesar's and 2 teas. With tip it cost me $600.00 and I threw out my food as well as one other person. Although twice I spoke to the owner a question whilst he was behind the bar and twice he completely ignored me. Our food was very tasty. We love the ribs as a starter but each time we have been there they have come out cold, the same with the pizza's this time. They were delicious but cold in the Centre. we didn't have the time to send them back as we had tickets to the theatre. Very impressed ! Pizza is excellent, staff super friendly. Was tired of cooking dinner every night in quarantine so opted to get take out and Dillons delivered. Their social distancing protocol is excellent and it's clear staff are taking this situation seriously. Very nice to see that. Phoned ahead to order and paid by phone. Staff seem very friendly and accommodating - will definitely be ordering more takeout and returning to "dine in" once COVID-19 is over. The food is incredible. Dillon's a a nice spot in Midland for lunch or casual dinner. Special is Kristyn's Homemade special hot relish. That's right, a Hot Relish she makes solely for the restaurant to apply on pizza or whatever. I'm a hot food nut, and while it isn't the hottest I've ever had, it has a wonderful complex blend of heat and salsa like additions. You can design your own pizza. Staff are knowledgeable, cheery and attentive. One of my favourite restaurants anywhere. The place was really nice decor with the menu being just a simple chalk board with 5-6 options. The service was quick and very good. The pizza we had was amazing. We got a simple margharita pizza. The one downfall was that I asked for caesar or ranch dressing to dip my pizza in, and they wouldn't give it to me because the cheff makes it home made. I thought that was a little silly. Real deal Hollyfield. Straight up. Don't wait up. It'll all get ate up. Tomatoes, cheese and flour all imported from Italy. Chef trained in Naples under who he claims to be the best pizza maker in Naples. Hard for me to disagree because this stuff was amazing. Put it this way - the sauce is ONLY pureed tomatoes, salt and pepper. And it's phenomenal. Just think about that for a minute. Some of the best pizza I've had in my life. Easily in the top 3. Restauranteur was from Montreal so you might say I'm biased, but he was a hell of a restauranteur as well. Gave us a full rundown. We grabbed 4 pizzas to hit the beach in Awenda and wow! My husband, baby and I stopped by Dillon's while out browsing on King Street. It was 12:30pm on Saturday and all their tables were full but we were told to (decided to) wait 40 min and try again. We got a table upon returning and ordered a Caesar salad (super garlicky but also amazing) and the Rustic pizza. The pizzas are made in a wood oven and they are delish. I've also had the beet salad on another occasion and it was also super great. Loved the warmth of the staff, especially the owner who went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience there. I've been going to Dillon's since they opened for business. I live in Oakville with a cottage in Honey Harbour and every time I go out for dinner with guests I always take them to Dillon's promising that once they try the Pizza they will have a hard time eating any other pizza again. Yes, it is that good, and the best pizza I've ever tried!!! The pizza is made in an Napoletano wood fired pizza style, so the dough is made and fermented for 5 days and the sauce is sourced from the volcanic soil of Italy. When you get your pizza add a sprinkle of sea salt and olive oil to make the already perfect, perfection. I wish there were a 6 our of 5 because Dillon's pizza deserves it. Best to call for a reservation because the popularity of this place is starting to spread so that even in the winter on a weekday the tables are full, though still worth the wait. read more

Came here cause I saw the the restaurant had good reviews. Ordered a harvest salad, ribs with slaw and the Pompeii pizza. The salad was fresh and delicious. The ribs are amazing and probably one of the best I've had in a long time. I was quite disappointed with pizza though. The toppings and dough are fresh but the pizza crust and dough was soggy and not crispy at all. As this is a pizza joint I wish their pizza was better. I would rate this a 5 star for everything but their pizza. Overall a 3.5. Their pizza is good but not like the pizzas in Italy. A must come for the ribs!!! Awesome pizza, reasonably prices and great service I love pizza...like, I really love pizza. So I've had my fair share of pizzas and know when I've had a good one. This one was amazing and has to be in my top 10. Came here with a group of 5 on a Saturday afternoon on a long weekend. The place was busy, but not packed. In the sense that almost all tables were full and there was no line. Unfortunately they didn't have room for us at a table, so we ate at the bar - which was fine. A couple of friends got salads to start with. I didn't try any, but they all claimed it was excellent. I got the Mediterranean pizza and it left me drooling for me. But there was no way my stomach could fit anything else. The sizes are quite large - where if you're a male over 200 lbs. you can finish one to yourself and feel stuffed for the rest of the day. The bread they use for these pizzas was so nice and fresh. No dipping sauce needed! I also got the iced tea which was so refreshing. I was expecting a nestea can or something but they have this tea that tasted like it was homemade and was legitimate tea that had sugar added and cooled down. I was shocked and would come back just for the iced tea. Service was great and our server was helpful with answering questions and suggesting serving sizes. Total bill came to around $23 + tip if I remember correctly. Completely reasonable for what you get. Random side note: they're debit/credit machine doesn't have a tip calculator on it, so you have to input a dollar amount (instead of a percentage). This threw me off, but our server pointed out that at the bottom of the bill it has a tip calculator for you, showing you the dollar amount for 15, 20 and 25% tip. read more

What a find! We were passing through Midland on a long boat trip to VA and met fellow local boaters at the dock, who recommended Dillon's to us. They said that they'd been great fans since the restaurant first opened. They did suggest we call ahead for reservations....and thank goodness we did. I called on Saturday midday and was lucky enough that someone had just canceled. Otherwise, we would have been out of luck. Our friends noted that they like to sit at the bar and tend to order the Caesar salad and the ribs (both appetizers) for dinner. I did the same, and my husband ordered the pizza. The food was delicious and the Caesar salad one of the best I've had: crisp, with delicious croutons and a bite of anchovy in the obviously freshly-made dressing. The ribs have a chipotle sauce and thus some heat but were falling off the bone good. Ricky, the proud and hard-working owner, also asked us to put a pin on the map before we left, showing our hometown: the map was too high for me to reach, so I stood on a chair. It was so refreshing that no one dashed over to order me to get down off of the chair! Ricky was delightful and appreciative of our business. He followed us out when we left to invite us back anytime and said that there'd "always be a table for us". A lovely evening and a great experience. The idea that I would have the best pizza I have eaten yet in Midland, Ontario never crossed my mind, but that is what happened. The owner of the places explained the process, tomatoes grown in a certain ash, in a certain type of flour used, over of a certain temperature, tomatoes pureed in a certain fashion. In the end, it all comes together to equal heaven on the lips, wow. The crust has a great texture, slight chew but still firm and the fresh taste of the tomato sauce just shines right through, then you get the great flavor of the meat and the caramelized onion, man, oh man!! I should have mentioned, I had the meat lovers pizza. My only issue, I should have bought 2 so I could have brought one back to Toronto with me. Lovely space with great wait staff. We had the goat with strawberry and maple balsamic salad to start followed by the Deacon pizza "meat lovers". Please don't take this the wrong way, I've had pizza all across italy. And for being a former Neapolitan I would have thought the pizza ingredients would have been more authentic Italian. The cubed ham had no resemblance to cooked prosciutto and cheese wasn't great whatever it was. All together the pizza was tasty the crust was good as was the sauce. This is some of the best pizza I have ever tasted. We were camping at Awenda, and the kids were not enjoying dad's cooking, so we took a recommendation from another camper and ordered a ridiculous amount of pizza to last a few days. The staff were amazing and even coached us on how to heat it up on the cast iron pan with olive oil and salt. It was just as good for the rest of the week as it was on the day we picked up. This restaurant beats ANY pizza I ever had and any restaurant I ever went to. The food is mouth watering and completely fresh. My family has 3 different pizzas-Pompeii, Deacon and Pesto Chicken and some chipotle ribs which were all AMAZING. The restaurant is well done, clean and well organized, the food came swiftly without having to wait 30 min+, the cloth napkins and glasses smell fragrant and actually clean unlike most restaurants... Extreme overpriced, a 13 dollar rib dish came with 5 ribs it was so disappointing. The food tastes good but the portions are so small you canno spend 60 dollars for 3 and you'll leave hungry. Pizzas are tasty but cost 20 bucks and are children size. We.came there and St and waited for an hour while they made a pile of pizzas for take out orders. If we lived here we wouldn't come.back. Also, we're not coming back. This is the newest eatery in Midland and I almost don't want to write a review because afraid all are going to find out and we will have wait to get in next time. Menu is on blackboard; it's short and sweet. We started with the greens/strawberry salad. The dressing was tasty, the greens crisp and it was gone all too soon. The pizza size was generous and the crust crispy just as wood fired should be. The toppings: Italian deli meat, fiore di latte and veggies were just the right combo. This was the first day of work for our young server, as Dillion himself informed us, and I think she will be there for a while; she was attentive and asked whomever she had to for the menu information I asked about. We were told about a brownie dessert but had to pass-this time.The place is bright and decorated in a simple sophisticated manner. Next time I go there, I will take a seat at the bar and watch TV; I just hope it won't always be sports being a newshound. If you're going for dinner, don't expect to be seated without a reservation. We didn't need a reservation for lunch, yet! Yes, they are licensed; they got their license about 2 hours before we got there so I imbibed on a craft beer from the Toronto Junction area.
