Read about this place and waned to go for our anniversary, the food lived up to the hype I can truly say! Upon entry, our first impression was a little shaky, admittedly. We stood at the entrance and staff ignored us for a few moments, glancing our way but not saying anything to greet us. It was quite busy, so understandable, and we shoved apprehension aside to end up enjoying what turned out to be a very delicious meal. Instead of bread, every table is served a mini charcuterie of salami, cheese, olives, bruschetta. Loved this touch! Our pesto pasta, mussels, buratta, and carpaccio were all delicious. Appreciate the feminine hygiene products in the bathroom as well! Another note is just the clean wine glasses with a bit more polish; water marks were on ours. read more

Amazing!!! Were we in town from the US and stumbled upon this gem. I was in Italy recently and this place would have fit in easily. The ceasar salad was amazing, along with our various dishes and desserts. Can't recommend this place enough for the food, service and ambiance. We even met the chef. Lovely little authentic Italian restaurant.. very friendly staff.. it was a real treat to eat here during our stay at blue mountain resort. We wanted a good decent meal.. it's an upscale restaurant.. they accommodated our kids and got them kids pasta but unfortunately steely was way overpriced for butter spaghettis they charged us 20$ each.. other than that food was fresh and yummy. They got us bruschetta and olives instead of the usually butter and bread which was nice.. we sat outside in their tent it was nice.. and then then chocolate mouse cake was delicious! Brunello's is a nice quaint restaurant tucked on a street off the main strip In Collingwood. Easily a nice spot for a romantic dinner or good family gathering. Place has a nice warm feel. Now to the food. Everything about the food seemed a bit pretentious. Portion wise the Pesce Fritta were not enough for even one person. You can tell the gnocchi were fresh as the nice light tomato sauce. The lasagna special was good As well. They do a good job of making you feel like you're in an upscale place, overall the flavors and execution of the dishes were fine but somehow everything left us all a bit underwhelmed. read more

Highly recommend! Brunello's is the cutest restaurant with the nicest staff and amazing food. All the ingredients were fresh, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. But what we will remember most about this experience is the friendly community. It was my partner's birthday, and the staff brought him a delicious tiramisu and the tables around us sang happy birthday. But what made the night special, the chef personally came out to greet us and brought a shot of limoncello to do with him. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Collingwood. read more

Their patio is open and the food is great. We lucked into a beautiful evening and arrived to see white table cloths, silver cutlery and clear tall wine glasses. The patio is small, tables spread out. We felt very safe as this was one of our first times out to dinner in Stage 3.The menu is similar to before. We had figs stuffed with mascarpone and wrapped with prosciutto, green salad, seafood linguine and veal marsala. All accompanied with glasses of wonderful wine. What a treat. Straight to the main...no antipasto from the menu with hopes on leaving some room for desert. However, we did get a complimentary bruschetta, olives, sausage, and cheese. Had the Sella D'agnello (rack of lamb)...superb. Medium rare is recommended. Tender...juicy...full of flavour. The Yukon Gold and sweet potato gratin was a wonderful side. At this point...quite full but wanted to try the Chef Mario Signature Tiramisu. Was very good but I prefer the Osso Bucco. Aside from the food...the service was great. Rose and Mario were able to accommodate the allergy limitations and unique requests of the Mrs and were quite attentive. Mind you...we were the first ones there at 5:30 but people started rolling in. Get there close to opening is my suggestion. Although we were very casual coming direct from the Scenic Caves (shorts, v neck, and flip flops) most of the patrons were business casual. read more

This restaurant is amazing!!!! The service is incredible. The owner works in the kitchen, so everything that comes out of there is perfection. They are happy to meet any special request. It is in an old house so you feel like you are at a family dinner. Just fabulous!!!!!!!! First off, the menu link here on yelp is out of date and is lower priced than the actual in house menu. Secondly, I am sorry if I offend anyone but I went to this place with my family and while the chef is friendly and pleasant, from the get-go, the rest of the experience was very poor. The waitress perhaps was having a bad day, but she was quite brusque and coarse in her attitude and off-putting with some of her comments. The price point of the menu is set way too high for the calibre of restaurant. I understand the menu repertoire is enthusiastic but the delivery is poor. I ordered seafood linguine with a white sauce; what I received was a heavily salted al oglio with an abundance of herbs and while the seafood was ok and passable, there was no mingling of flavours, there was no richness nor acidity in any of it. No cheese. No umami. It sat there, monotonous. The single scallop had the most flavour of the whole meal. I put a squeeze of lemon onto the pasta to break up the grease and that at least added a dimension beyond the singular I had in front of me. I tried others dishes. The gnocchi also lacked depth beyond being way overly salted; not the sauce, mind you, the gnocchi itself was repulsively salted. Someone has a heavy hand in the salt cellar. The lamb shank was also heavily salted and mushy to the point of being a clump on a bone. The Caesar Salad was the absolute worst I have ever tasted; The romaine was stale, the dressing was off as though it has sat warming on a shelf somewhere, not made fresh ( and if it was made fresh, well, something is very wrong) and although it was ordered as gluten free, it came with croutons and as a taste of how the service was, the statement , "You can just pick those off, right?" was the response to the discovery. We all left feeling slightly ill, robbed and disappointed. I am not one to ever complain much at all but if you are at all contemplating this place, I suggest you perhaps reconsider. Ugh. read more

Arrived in Collingwood for our anniversary and was recommended Brunello's. We called in asking for information, Angel answered and was amazing and very informative and patient. I appreciated her being accomodating to all of our needs as we weren't sure whether to come in or just order pickup. We also left a message earlier in the day, in which Mario had called us back ensuring we were taken care of. So, we decided to order pickup. Now, I know this isn't the norm for Italian and we weren't expecting it to be in top form. But, unfortunately we were pretty disappointed with most of what we got. Way too much salt and overall just not great. We ordered two orders of mussels ( white wine and red ), shrimp, bruschetta, beef carpaccio, and the daily salad. Buttttttt, and I must say, I've worked in many restaurants over the years. 15+ years. Since covid, as we all know, service has been subpar in most locations as restaurants are struggling to survive and stretched way too thin. So, because of the incredible service we recieved, as well as the call from Mario, we'll 100% be back on our next visit. Restaurants are built not just on their menus but also their people, and ladies at the front door greeted me and wished me happy anniversary and were more than pleasant from start to finish. We probably would have never found this place if not for the recommendation of locals who my husband played golf with. Adorable old house. We were able to get in without reservations on a Wednesday night but you would definately want a reservation on a weekend. It's a very small place but that means great personal service. The chef personally greeted us and even gave a complimentary appetizer. My husband didn't even realize what he ordered and he is not a fish eater but throughly enjoyed his meal. Food was fantastic. Given the type of place the prices aren't unreasonable. I would definitely recommend for a nice dinner. read more

Easily the nicest place to get an incredible meal in Collingwood. I personally prefer it to any place at the mountain as well. The service is always fantastic and professional. The owner (Mario) likes to walk around and make sure that everything is up to par and meets your expectations. Take your ginko baloba before you go because the waiter/waitress will have a long list of specials for you and I seem to only be able to remember the last one they tell me. The first time that we went, we had their mussels in their signature marinara sauce and it was awesome. It was a perfect mix of flavours. I had the ai Fruitti di mare(seafood risotto) for my main and it was soooo good. It was perfectly cooked and nice and creamy. It was also a great portion size that was nicely filling. Gnocchi al Pomodoro & Basilico was my main dish the second time I went. It was also a perfect dish that I can not say enough good things about. Perfectly spiced and presented. The only way to describe it is "heavenly." We don't have a lot of money, but we prefer to save our money by not going to mediocre restaurants every second week and go to Brunellos once a month for some of the best Italian food we've ever had. read more

What a wonderful experience! We went on a Wednesday night to celebrate my wife's birthday and were so welcomed by the staff. The location is an older house with so much decor and comfort. The meal was truly amazing. Tuscan like the old country. The spicy shrimp was exactly that, spicy and fresh. I had the filet mignon with veggies and gnocchi. The steak was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly. The veggies were so good, I could have settled for a plate full. My wife had the lamb and loved it. Desert was super good too. September 12th was the second time we have had the privilege of the Brunello's experience. The amazing food and atmosphere the first visit took us back for the second, last night. We were there to celebrate a birthday, started the warm late summer evening with wine on the patio which Angel set up for us in no time at all. The service was very personable and welcoming. Chef Mario's talent didn't take long to shine through, we started with the Antipasto Mist Della Casa, with Figs (which I could have had as my entire meal) and calamari. The mains were even more spectacular, so much flavour, can't remember the last time I had such a good Italian meal. Had the pleasure of Chef Mario sitting with us to share a drink and telling stories at the end of the evening. Thank-You to both Mario & Angle for making our celebration memorable and special.
