We just moved into the area and there isn't too terribly much in the immediate vicinity in the way of food and other services. So when we saw Dilly Donuts down the road, we wanted to check it out one weekend. It looks like the strip is pretty new, and I believe they also own the restaurant next door that does burgers and seafood. So that will be another trip for us to check out for another meal. Walking in. They have a nice little seating area, and they move pretty quick. They have a whole taco counter, a kolache counter, a donut counter, a few drink fridges and they offer some other beverages fresh as well. What I also saw that was interesting is they had a lot of boba signs, and I didn't realize they did boba here. The staff was super friendly! And they move through your order very quickly. They were even kind enough to give us a couple of extra donuts on top of our order! Food wise the donuts were fresh, and tasty. The tacos were really good and I highly recommend them and they are a good price as well. I liked the everything combo that I got from them and they have a few others that looked pretty good that I'll have to try next time. Will definitely be back! read more

In town for my Mom's memorial and internment. I had the get up at 0400, I time of day I swore I would never see again after retirement but the Congress and TSA had other plans for me. I needed to get my son to George Bush Int on the other side of Houston. Mind you it is 4am and already starting to get traffic on a Saturday...insane. Anyways, I get him there and make my way back to Manvel and I'm now thinking kolaches. I look over and see that Dilly is open at 5am!!! Sweet!!! I am greeted by a sweet 73 year old lady and she is in an awesome mood. She chats with me about the US, how she moved to the US in her 20's from Malaysia...they are communist you know, she tells me. She tells me how thankful she can work 7 days a week, for her house and all the blessings she has with her family here in the United States of America. Her 50 year old daughter comes up with more fresh doughnuts and pastries and echoes all her mother was saying. Their donuts are so delicious but I have to rate them low because twice now that I have been there I have had the worst service ever. The lady that has tended to me has been so extremely rude. Take out | Breakfast | $50-100 I want to start of by saying that we have always enjoyed Dilly's. We usually go for dinner. This is only the second time I've gotten breakfast at the drive thru and the first time I only got donuts. And apparently after reading other reviews from TWO YEARS ago this has been an ongoing issue. I ordered a dozen barbacoa and egg tacos. The drive up menu has them priced at $30 a dozen. I thought that was a fair price. When I paid though, I noticed my receipt said $48 a dozen. I questioned the lady why the price was different and she said "oh the prices have changed". I replied "well your menu out here doesn't say that and you didn't inform me of the price change when I ordered". She said "it's been changed for awhile". OK, so people who don't normally come here for breakfast are supposed to automatically know that? She wouldn't honor her menu listing price. So I paid almost $50 for a dozen barbacoa tacos. That is insane! Had I known of the price change, I would have purchased something else. Also upon looking at the menu outside I noticed the price of the egg, potato and cheese tacos also changed. Which I also ordered 4 of those. I'm adding photos of the drive up menu and my receipt. I'm very disappointed as I enjoy Dilly's dinner spot next door. We eat there often. If the prices have changed then the menu outside where everyone drives up and reads needs to be changed too. Or at least inform your patrons when they are ordering. I will not be going back for breakfast again. The menu should be changed to reflect the real prices. Especially since patrons posted reviews about this same thing, 2 years ago. So far so good! I've been to Dilly Donuts twice now and have had a variety of breakfast tacos, donuts, and kolaches, all of which have been tasty. Today I ordered a jalapeño cheese sausage kolache and was pleasantly surprised that the sausage was a kielbasa and not "hot dog" style like a lot of donut shop kolaches. The kielbasa makes it a much more hearty breakfast pastry. We also got a half dozen glazed donuts, which both my husband and I thought were quite good. The most enjoyable breakfast item I've tried so far, though, are the breakfast tacos. They have a variety to choose from, but I've personally had the potato/egg and supreme and enjoyed both. The tortillas are decent and the tacos have a lot of filling. Also, the salsa is hot and very good! I noticed today that they also have a nice section of beverages to chose from including Thai tea, so I'll probably try some of those in the future since this spot is so close! read more

The two donuts were great I loved how fluffy yet firm the donut was but the sandwich is very bland and I would not recommend it at all. We used to stop at Dilly's Donuts every Friday but stopped when the drive through line became a snail. We waited in line over 25 minutes one morning. Needless to say it became not worth our time soon after that. Fast forward to this morning, we tried to give it another chance. We waited in line 25 minutes to only be told the were out of donut holes, glazed donuts, chocolate donut ect.... So my question was, why was the line moving so slow if you didn't have anything to sell. Note to owners, you may want to post a sign so customer don't waste time waiting in line. Great donuts!! I've visited on 3 different occasions and every experience was pleasant. The place is always clean and organized. Each person I've encountered gave me an awesome customer service experience. The owner complimented my AT4 on my first visit; short convo but it shows you that he actually interacts with his customers. I had a conversation with 2 ladies working there today. I probably could've talked to them all day without being rushed off. They both are welcoming, kool and very down to earth. Good to come to a local shop and truly feel welcomed. They will not get my business. I went through the drive-through to order a dozen donuts. When I pulled up she quoted me a different price than what was on the menu. I thought she had the order wrong. But when she quoted me the price again it was a $10 difference. I asked her why and her response was "we had a price increase due to the market." ??? a $10 price increase??? I told her I'm paying what is on the menu and not just what you're quoting me. But she insisted that I pay the new, unlisted price. So I drove off. For all I know she could have pocketed the $10. If a company changes their prices, then their menu should reflect the new prices if that's what you expect your customers to pay. read more

I really really want to like this place because it's right down the street from home but sadly after the 2nd visit I'm not impressed. I visited this place about the 2nd or 3rd week they opened and I tried their sausage and cheese croissant The sausage patty they used was super dry and hard it seemed like they over cooked the thing.
