So lucky I was able to find this wonderful salon! Amazing ladies here who are always kind and uplifting to be around. Isabelle is so sweet, I had my daughter's book with her for an event and she did the most beautiful updo's. Then we returned to her for their haircuts and my color and we will Never leave. I have fine oily hair. I usually get about 8 hours after a wash before I look like I have just come from the Gym. I have been to salons all over CA and paid hundreds and hundreds of dollar for cuts and products that never really made much difference. At some point I gave up and just said ok this is my hair. Since going to this salon my hair has never looked better. I have volume in my hair WITHOUT making it oily and is so healthy. On top of that the environment in the salon is amazing. I just moved into the area a year ago, and was a walk-in. I was nervous, but once I sat in the chair and Denise started working on my hair, and listened to my specific needs, I knew I was in good hands. Denise did such a wonderful job on my color and cut, I then asked her to do my hair for my wedding. She made my hair absolutely gorgeous, and positioned my veil on my head perfectly, so I was the most beautiful bride ever!!! I have really enjoyed going to Dimensions salon. It seems very much like a family atmosphere, I am always treated like a friend when I come in! I recently started going there after my long time stylist, Denise moved over there from another salon. I wouldn't have thought of anything else other than to follow her. She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for a few years now, and I get compliments everywhere I go. My hair is not easy to work with because it is short, fine and very curly and breaks easily. Since she has been cutting it, it has been fuller and I have seen a noticeable difference in the volume. I have been seeing Denise as my stylist now for over 3 years. She is terrific. I always have a great experience with her. I regularly color and cut my hair about every 8-10 weeks. Denise immediately nailed my color and cut. Recently I started highlighting my hair and I could not be happier. I have had many stylists over the past 30 years and Denise is one of the best. I've been going here for years, I see Kim regularly. She is great. I always enjoy my appointments and feel like she probably knows my hair better than I do. The vibe in the shop is always friendly and upbeat. I think some salons are stuffy and stuck up, but there is none of that here. I'd like to start off by saying that my review is not a reflection of how I feel about the salon, but of my experience with a specific stylist. I booked with Denise for a color. In general, I went in with a vision of what I wanted and showed her pictures- cohesive ginger all over color (I'm naturally dark strawberry blond), but she deterred me away from that and made her own suggestions to do highlights and lowlights. I let her know I didn't like the contrast and "stripey" look that it gave, but she assured me it would turn out great and she would make sure to blend it well, so I agreed to go ahead and try what she recommended even though I was feeling unsure. At first glance at the end of my appt, my hair was exactly what I didn't want--contrast and stripey. Additionally, she failed to mention prior to the appt that she only takes cash or cashapp, so she had me go to an ATM across the street to pull out cash for her. So far, not a very pleasant experience. She offered me a free follow up to fix my hair, but I was apprehensive to return to her after that. So I spoke to the manager to see if there were any other solutions. Tristy was extremely empathetic and kind, but said since everyone acts as their own boss, it was essentially out of her hands, but would reach out to Denise and see what she could do. I had basically accepted that I can either go to the appt to get it fixed with Denise or cancel it at this point. However, immediately after getting off the phone with the owner, I get an extremely long confrontational text message from Denise, and what followed were several hostile text messages over the next couple hours. She tried to put the blame on me for "going in not knowing what I wanted," which some people do but in my case I was very clear about what I wanted and didn't want. The text messages are basically the reason I am writing this review. I've never had someone in the customer service industry speak to a customer the way she did, it was beyond unprofessional and out of line. I would recommend trying this salon, but Denise is not a stylist I would recommend. The situation after me speaking to the owner could have been handled in a much more professional manner and Denise could really benefit from improving her communication skills and customer service with her clients. I absolutely love my stylist BUT this place is too dang hot! They never have the AC on and only have small fans. When I have mentioned how warm it is I have been given cold rice packs instead of simply turning the AC on. The owner really needs to turn on the AC or she is going to lose customers including myself. read more

I called to make an appt with Cassie, after reading good reviews about her, and the person who answered the phone sounded overwhelmed and busy. She told me I would have to call her directly and gave me a phone number. When I called it, it turned out to be the same number I originally called (the salons number). Then she told me she didn't know Cassie's number and that "most people book appts from the website". I didn't want to do that because I wanted to talk to a person since it was my first time booking. She asked me for my name and number and told me she would have Cassie call me back. Maybe 20 minutes later this person called me back to apologize for being short with me and told me she was just busy. I said no problem. I waited several days and Cassie never called me back. I tried calling one more time and this time the person who answered the phone was rude and inconvenienced and asked me again for my name and number. Again, no one called me back. As a former hairstylist and someone who's worked in customer service my whole life, I was disappointed with my phone experience with them and the inability to book an appt. I'm sure they do great hair...I ended up going somewhere else. Not a good way to run a business! read more

I've been coming here for 2 years now and will NEVER go anywhere else. I've had several of the ladies do my hair throughout these 2 years and I always leave feeling beautiful. As soon as you walk in you feel a sense of happiness and positivity. The ladies are soooo friendly and happy to see you, offer you a beverage of ANY kind. Cassie's is my main squeeze and she always asks me "how are YOU doing"!!! People don't do that anymore. She generally listens to you and not just about your hair. Strongly do not recommend. Everyone working was a proud anti-masker and anti-vaxxer. I had an appointment with Kristy for a red and blonde combo balayage & money piece. (Inspo, before, & after pic below). My hair was SO healthy and beautiful in my natural color & it took me a long time to book an appointment finally to give myself some much needed "me time" as a stay at home mom and give myself a fun change. I was SO excited for this, but the entire (nearly FIVE HOUR) appointment was awful. After disclosing to her that I have a disability, she then proceeded to tell me about her son's crohns disease & how his problems led her to drink (WTF). She made numerous comments about my "model-type" body & my looks which was just uncomfortable. She couldn't manage to tease my hair for highlights without ripping the hair out of my scalp or wacking me in the head. My entire head was foiled & processing for 30 minutes before she realized she missed a whole section & added another hour to the process. Then the red didn't even take bc she didn't lighten it beforehand & tried to have me come in again to redo it with an all-over red toner. UmNOthankyou. I wasted my entire afternoon for nothing and my hair feels like SHIT. Now I have to find & pay someone to fix it. read more

I came to Cassie and Dimensions after seeing her work on instagram (I had been looking for a talented hairdresser for when I visit the Placerville / Shingle Springs area). Cassie is fantastic. Not only did she fix the line of demarcation from a bad highlight job that I got from some "fancy" place in el dorado hills which clearly didn't know their stuff... she also took my drab look from "blank to bank" just in time for me to start a new job in an office environment.
