When it's freezing outdoors or the kids need any type of exercise i take them here for an hour or so. The admission fee is $5/general, $4/kids & military and $3.50 for rental skates. Free admission on Military Mondays. The ice is well maintained and never had any problems with the staff. This place is located on the ground floor where the food court is and the easiest way to access is to take the H&M mall entrance. The mall itself is a bit bare compare to a typical mall, however, I prefer this place over the 5th Avenue mall downtown. read more

Horrible experience. Skates had holes in them and broken laces...no skatehelpers for kiddos learning to skate. Kids cried the whole time!

They cater to figure skaters often blocking off a huge portion of center ice during peek hours of public skate, then they will be twirling outside of the comes and you will be dodging skates to the neck the whole time. They won't allow kids to skate with hockey sticks but allow people to swing their skates wherever around inexperienced skaters. read more

My daughter and I love coming here. After reading the reviews I felt I should add a few things. I have never had any issues with their skates (though investing in new laces wouldn't hurt). The prices have gone up considerably since the review posted 5 years ago but since it allows you to skate as long as you want I think the prices are still reasonable. Yes, they guy at the desk is rude but since you interact with him for maybe 25 seconds just pay your fee and move on. This is a great place to come have fun and spend time with family and friends. I never have nor plan on having a birthday party here but I have yet to find a place where it's perfect to have a kids party at. read more

This weekend my husband and I hosted our 5 year old daughters birthday party here. Scheduled from 3:15-6:15. Hockey practice didn't end until 3:15 so we were let into the room for the party about 3:35. The disgruntled worker pointed at the tables and chairs and walked away. They returned at 5:50 to clean up as the next party was waiting, but expected me to pay from 3:15-6:15. The man at the ticket counter was rude and extremely unpleasant to interact with. The skates were worn and gross, the place is dirty and in need of a serious deep cleaning. Per one of the staff, hockey skate we're only available in a few select sizes because a previous staff member cut holes in a majority of all the skates after being fired. Awful experience. I've been here before but not for a long time. Came today for a birthday party. The front counter guy was not happy and not helpful, I almost couldn't understand what he was saying because he was talking too fast/quietly when I asked where to go for a bday party. The skates we rented (well for free because we were with a party) were very worn and not sharp. Didn't matter too much since my son isn't very good at skating anyway but I thought the skates were gross. The redeeming part was this one employee who helped my son switch from hockey skates to figure skates (the hockey ones were uncomfortable). He was very helpful and gave tips on how to wear the hockey skates and tie the laces better for more comfort. We still swapped skates but he was very nice. One thing I didn't like was that all the kids were scraping up the ice to get chunks of ice to throw at each other which made it hard to navigate around them (hanging out on the wall). The staff did nothing about that but repeatedly went on the loudspeaker to ask that people don't sit on the wall which I never saw them do. Probably won't go here again unless I'm invited to another party. read more

First off, the guy at the ticket counter was pretty rude. He asked me my age, and when I responded with 20, he laughed. As if I was lying. I know I look young, but I don't appreciate it. And when he went to process my card, I said "that should work" and he responded with "You don't have $3.50 on here?" I just gave him the first card I pulled out, and sometimes my cards won't work. Now, on to the facility. It's in the Dimond mall, which is a so-so mall. I am from Texas so I can be a bit judgmental with those things. But, the ice was awful. Probably hadn't been resurfaced all day. It was two hours before close when I asked if they could get a zamboni out, and he said "not enough time". I am no professional, but I haven't fallen in years, and this was the first night I've fallen. It could also be the skates to blame, they were about as sharp as the handle of a butter knife. Overall, not a great experience, probably won't go back. I only chose it because it's close to where I was staying. read more

Not for beginners. The rental skates are of poor quality & run small. If you use the walls for balance the staff will scold you like a child. Oddly enough the previous reviews stating how warm the rink is are very accurate which as they mentioned is beyond their control however need to be noted so people know what they're getting into. read more

Rented the skates from them and they were cheap rubber skates that wouldn't stay centered and didn't support my feet- in order to get them to stay somewhat lined up I had to tighten them to the point it was painful. I did one lap and quit because the quality was so poor it wasn't worth using them. Bring your own skates or don't bother. It was really perplexing how the owner thinks the skates were passable to offer to customers much less charge people to use them- not a good business ethic in my opinion. read more

This place sucks! I am a hockey player and forgot my skates so decided to rent some and they are not sharpened. When you ask them to sharpen them they do not the time I went here with my personal skates and tripped on the ice and cut myself bad on the walls. The time I rented skates I slipped and hurt my knee bad. My cousins don't like skating and this made it worse for them. Even when I was the only one out there I was going ten mph and they told me to slow down. I've had bad experience with this place and I'm never going again. I hope you read this before you go out in that wasteland and it changes your mind :( read more

One of the worst customer service experiences EVER. The gentleman at the ticket counter was so rude. First of all he was no where to be found when we arrived and when he did we were just confused on the prices and just didn't receive a friendly greeting or good vibes off of him. Then as we paid he was extremely weird about our age. My cousin and I both replied "20". He then proceeded to roll his eyes. My cousin accidentally signed the safely waiver in the wrong spot and he got irritated with her. After we got buzzed into the door, we were not explained how to get rental skates or where the counter was even located. He came out of his office two minutes later and simply pointed to the area i guess we were supposed to know where to go. Then, rudely, he explained how the skate sizes worked and even though ours didn't fit perfectly it was so bad we were afraid to ask him for a smaller size, because his "sizing" method was way off. We brushed it off and started to skate anyways. After being watched by him the entire time we skated we decided we were going to wrap it up. You are not supposed to carry your phone on the ice so I asked my cousin to step off and take a quick picture of video of me. He yelled at her across the lobby area to put it away. She was confused because it only says they are prohibited on the ice. It was a tuesday early afternoon and it was not that busy. He told her to put it away and rolled his eyes. As we put on our shoes to leave we even heard our same experience happen to another family. What could have been fun was such an unpleasant experience because of ONE PERSON. It's not worth it....take your money else where. read more
