Please do yourself a favor and find a doctor that cares. I waited for almost 2 hours and the doctor complaint that her nurses were to tired to process paperwork and I needed to re schedule. I am a single mother and leaving from work few hours it's a luxury that I can't take plus my son had to miss school. *they didn't set me up my appointment on their schedule. *only takes PPO insurance but the doctor acted as she was doing charity work. Dr Badra is the best! Very easy to make our first appointment with her. She saw us right away and did our 5 year olds physical. Dr Badra was my doctor was I was a boy and it was a no brainer to take our son to her when we moved back to the area. Any parent would be thrilled to bring their child to her practice! read more

If I could give her 0 starts I absolutely would. I'm a first time mom and I definitely did not expect to have to switch pediatricians within the first month of my daughters life. Not only did she tell me my daughter needed a bath at 2 weeks old (due to a piece of blanket fuzz being on her neck & she was wiped down literally the night before), but I also told her about my daughters stomach aches (that she first thought was colic then changed her mind the next appointment and said she's lactose intolerant- which she isnt) Her recommendation on how to help my daughter was to feed her half the amount I was feeding her (2 oz at the time), and stick her pacifier in her mouth instead. I'm sorry but does that seem like a normal thing to say?? On top of that, she billed my insurance incorrectly & refused to resubmit the claims to my insurance, and forced me to pay almost $700 out of my own pocket for the appointments. These appointments were 100% covered and confirmed by my insurance agency. But she just refuses to resubmit the claims instead which is completely unethical. If you want a pediatrician who is trusting, caring, and not a thief, I would go elsewhere. read more

The front desk is lacking etiquette in how to address patients, medical insurance and payments. My initial interaction with the front desk last year 11/2019-12/2019 to schedule an emergency flu appointment (they wouldn't see me because I had out of state insurance or was from out of state - not sure which was the issue) was extremely poor until Dr. Badra got involved and ultimately saw my very ill son. Fast forward to this year, the front desk is the same- extremely uneducated in HIPPA regulations and turns patients away without conducting due diligence, checking with Dr. Badra or following any insurance policies. Much like the other patient mentioned in the below review, the front desk receptionist staff collects money, refuses money or simply pushes you out the door based on their lack of knowledge on how to check medical coverage. In this instance, the name of the health provider was not listed on the insurance card (instead of just charging the copay and asking us to update the card for our next appointment), they pushed us out the door after saying "this is illegal" numerous times. Since this is a pediatric physician, I am sure the parent reading this can only dread the ordeal of taking off from work, feeding, dressing their toddler for their checkup, coordinating efforts to make the appointment- only to be met with a front desk reception team with little knowledge on how to treat patients, check them in and deal with medical insurance. Until this front desk is educated, while Dr. Badra is a good physician- I would unfortunately recommend another physician. read more

Dr. Badra is great. It's the fraud on the insurance that I don't like. Brought my daughter for routine physical. Then had to go back next week for shots. With our insurance, everything relating to physical and shots are covered. When we went back to get shots, however, had a $20 copay. They said shots were an office visit. I said they are part of physical and we were never seen by a dr., just nurse. I paid and left and figure I would argue later after I knew my facts for sure. Came home and called insurance co. They confirmed what I said, that shots are 100% covered and seeing a nurse for shots isn't a dr. visit. They said they should have known not to charge for such a visit. Will be finding a new Dr. (They schedule physicals one year ahead.who does that?? Then when you don't show up, with a years notice, you are charged.) If you are looking for a pediatrician that only cares for $$$ then Badra is for you! We have been seeing Badra since my daughter was born and she still doesn't know her name, nor mine. Badra is not flexible when it comes to money, all she wants is cash! Badra once charged me $10 for school vaccination records. After that, she never charged me again. I am assuming she wasn't supposed to charge from the beginning. Can you believe she once scowled me for being late, then she pushed me by making us wait more than an hour until she finally asked us in. There were 3 incidents with Badra and today was the last! After making us wait an hour to see her, the assistant communicates that Badra could not see us today. Apparently, my insurance did not have Badra listed as the primary pediatrician. The insurance assigned another pediatrician and until I made the necessary corrections, Badra could not see us. I told the assistance that I would call the insurance company and correct the problem, but if Badra could just see my daughter since I went thru a lot of trouble to get there. The answer, "NO". Then, I offered to pay the visit with the condition that once the insurance was corrected, they could bill then and reimburse me......that's when Badra stepped in and said, "YES" you can pay ME cash, but that she cannot reimburse me. Badra was creating road blocks to not see us unless I paid cash. Very disappointing experience. Do you know how sad it is to have such a doctor for the most precious soul in your life. Badra didn't even care for my daughter's wellbeing, she didn't even bother to ask if everything was ok...why the urgency. Nothing, "SHE SIMPLY DIDN'T CARE". I hope everyone takes the time to investigate and research before selecting a pediatrician or any doctor. It was just unfortunate for me as being new in town, not too many doctors take new patients. read more

I have been taking my children to Dr. Badra for 7 years. I can't relate to any of the negative things being said about this great physician. I just think is beyond cowardliness to take advantage of physician who can't respond to false allegations. It is a simple process, if you have coverage, the physician get paid what is allowed. If you owe money, your anger should be directed at yourself because you chose the policy you have. Our entitlement society has eroded our value system. I was worried about taking my son there because it is a bit of a drive for us but after going I would drive it any day for the level of service we received. She is extremely kind and took the time to really get to know us. Waiting room is split for sick and healthy kids. The wait is never too long and often Dr Badra will collect you herself. She is a very thorough pediatrician, some may say too thorough. She doesn't miss much and cares about the well being of the whole family. She will address your concerns but more often than not, also refer you to a specialist to explore the issue further. read more

I moved to Naples 2 years ago with my 3 children: an infant, a toddler, and a preschooler. Finding a pediatrician was quite a challenge. We tried a few places, and left due to various issues: their schedule was too booked, the distance was too far, and one Dr. we loved switched to concierge service right after we decided we loved her (Dr. Kelly Fontana, I'm talking about you! You were our fave!). A few women in the Naples mom's facebook group recommended Dr. Badra. At this point it was just like pick a number and if they were in our insurance plan, we'd give them a try. I had heard a few negative stories about Dr. Badra, but I made the appointment and I am pretty happy with that decision. First off, the office is bare bones. Sick and well waiting rooms are separated (thank you!), but there are no toys. But don't we all agree that doctor office toys are covered in ebola and for some reason toddlers can't help but lick them? Suggestion: byo toys and Lysol them afterwards. There is a tv, but it's not usually on. The rooms are also tiny, long and narrow. Not the most comfortable, but not the worst thing either. There are signs advising you to not do things. No touching the blinds, no cell phones, no changing dirty diapers in exam rooms, etc. It made me nervous in the beginning, but really now, would you let a hundred little people get handsy with the blinds in your office? Nope. You shouldn't be on a cell phone during your kids doctor visit, and poopy diapers stink, so yeah...use the loo. The non medical office staff have been hit or miss. I've insisted that I don't have a copay, to be told that I DO have a copay, which I pay cause can't we all just get along? Only to have it put back on my account for a future visit. I've had problems with insurance and vaccine visits, just like another reviewer stated. I delay vaccines (no issues from the Dr., thanks again), but I was charged an extra $30 for each "makeup shot" visit. I'm not sure of the legality of it, but once you find an actually good pediatrician in Naples, you might want to just relax your standards on insurance fraud. If you need paperwork done, bring it in person, sit in the long and narrow waiting room, and don't leave till it's complete and in your hands. #beentheredonethat The nurses always seem nice. They are mostly young women, efficient, and friendly to the kids. Now as for the Dr. herself. I was told by 2 people who previously took their kids to her that the Dr. could possibly be a little bit of a know-it-all and condescending to new(ish) parents. I have not had that experience at all. I quite like the Dr's personality with me and with my children. She's not a pushover with the kids, however; you can absolutely tell she cares about them. I feel like she'd be the mom that you'd resent as a teen but thank in your mid 20s for keeping you from sleeping with the whole football team and consequently being called a slut for the next 4 years of your life. So, yes, I like Dr. Badra. She moves fast enough at well visits to keep things moving, but slow enough that you get to discuss what you need to. To sum it up: the office isn't the Ritz, but I've realized that is not the most important thing. The office staff has gotten better in the 18 or so months I've been taking my kids there. There are some rules, but it's her house, not yours...so deal with it or don't go there. My parenting is more on the natural side of things. As I said above, I space my kids shots, I breastfeed, my sons are not circ'ed, and we co-sleep. It's not easy to find a dr with room for 3 kids who is okay with all of my so called alternative beliefs. I don't have to be afraid of her touching my son's because she's unaware of how to handle an intact penis. She has no problem with my extended breastfeeding, our cosleeping reminds her of how she grew up. I honestly find her to be a very nice person and a good pediatrician. I have recommended her to my personal friends, and will continue to do so. read more

I was going to keep Dr. Badra my little secret. However, there is such a lack of reviews for Pediatricians on Yelp, I decided to give my review. Finding a terrific Pediatrician that I liked was fairly difficult. I received several recommendations from friends, but none of their recommendations for Pediatricians fit what I was looking for. Having an infant, I called several of the recommended offices and none of the Pediatric offices I called would allow me to space out my sons vaccinations, which worried me. I did my own research and found that Dr. Badra was a vaccine-friendly Pediatrician. After meeting with Dr. Badra, I am now 100% confident she is going to be the most sought out Pediatrician in Naples. She took the time to sit down and speak with me about my 2 month old and was more than willing to work with delaying vaccinations. Both my 2 year old and 2 month old are blessed to have her as their Dr. Her office is very clean and certainly exceeded my expectations. There are 2 enclosed waiting rooms. One for healthy children and another for sick children. Very colorful and made our short wait (6 or so minutes) visually stimulating for our infant. Dr. Badra is an excellent listener and she spent almost 25 minutes with us. Great Pediatrician! read more

Relocated to Naples and was referred here, but it was not a great experience. The office is not welcoming and not kid friendly. The waiting area is small and there are no activities for kids. The whole office is full of signs saying "don't do this" and "don't touch that". No food or drink, don't touch the shades in the exam room, no cell phones. But the worst part was we were billed over $100 for our visit when it should have been just a $25 co-pay. We asked them to check again and after going back and forth we just paid the amount and are fighting it with insurance. When we asked what happens when they realize they overcharged us they said it will just get used as a credit toward future visits. Unfortunately we won't be going back to use our credit. Too bad as Dr. Badra seemed very nice and appreciative of the opportunity to care for our child. read more

Dr. Badra is wonderful. I first took my kids to see her a little over one year ago when we moved to Naples. She is thorough and professional, and so kind. One of my children has a chronic medical issue and I feel confident in her ability to oversee his needs. We found Dr. Badra right before we had our first child. She was the perfect fit for our family and we knew she would take the best care of our child! She came to the hospital to check on Bella every day we were there. She gave us the best advice on how to help with the shape of her head (since she was a breeched baby). Her head is perfect and she is happy baby! Thank God we found Dr. Badra from the beginning! She has also gotten us in the same day when our baby was sick (a few different times) and has let us split up vaccinations when there were many at once. All of or experiences with her and the office staff have been exceptional. We are blessed to have a wonderful pediatrician for our angel. read more
