I've never been so appalled by the way a business treats people. The staff at this salon refused to cut the hair of an adult with special needs just because he "doesn't tip." Are you kidding me? He's a human being, not a walking tip jar. He's there all the time, even knows him by name, and didn't want to cut his hair. He stood there embarrassed waiting for someone to take him. Denying someone a basic service because of a tip -- which is optional, by the way -- is not just greedy, it's cruel and discriminatory. They clearly have zero understanding or compassion for people with disabilities. And if that wasn't enough, an elderly man accidentally passed gas while sitting nearby. It was clearly unintentional and embarrassing for him -- and instead of handling it with any kind of maturity, the staff laughed in his face. Loudly. Like bullies in a middle school cafeteria. It was humiliating and flat-out mean. This place is a disgrace. Unkind, unprofessional, and heartless. Don't give them a dime -- they don't deserve it. Walked in on a Saturday morning after I called for a reservation just the day before. This was " Prom weekend " and my sophomore decided she wanted highlights just for the occasion () but Dina saved the day, and not only gave my daughter the best highlights ever but also exactly the cut she required ( she is a dancer and can't have layers cuz her hair are most times in a bun). Dina was accommodating and incredibly patient when my daughter expressed a little disappointment when she realized the front highlights were lighter than she expected, Dina patiently gave her a little toner. With her long hair ( and tons of it) that service would have costed me at least three times of what I paid anywhere else. But Dina was incredibly professional and honest with her pricing. I highly recommend to make an appointment for a service like this, I got lucky that Dina was accommodating. I have been a fairly regular customer for a few years, and usually go for a short haircut and style, so it's simple for me. For the most part, I've been happy with their staff. I usually try to explain how I actually want the cut. I do watch as they are working and don't have a problem speaking up if I think I need to because it is my hair. "Zoning out" is never a good idea no matter where someone gets their hair done. In my case, there was only one time that the cut didn't work well and that's because I wasn't really paying attention AND the stylist was distracted by others in conversation. The place isn't exactly "high end" like other salons, but their rates are fairly reasonable, and I have had no other problems going there. It's probably a good place to take your kids or teens for cuts and styles. The place is clean and the atmosphere is friendly. If someone is planning on more extensive hair styling, then I suggest asking them personally about their services and what to expect. Then you decide if you want to proceed...or not. read more

Well, the service in the past as been average at best, but my last experience was terrible. Stopped in 25 minutes before closing when blue haired worker told me (rather rudely) they were done for the day. I turned around and left. I sat in my car for a few minutes looking for another salon when a women walked into the salon, and they sat her done and began working on her hair! My haircuts last about five minute, but they could not be bothered to help me but took someone else after I left. This was a total lack of professionalism and I will not be returning. read more

Arrived at 6:30ish and lady said they were closed for the day (online states closes at 8pm and open sign was still on) she asked me to come the next day because she was short staffed. Next day I went to get my highlights and lady didn't ask me any kind of questions just what color I wanted them. if you are getting partial highlights make sure you tell them you want them on TOP (NOT ON FRONT-thats what the lady did on me so back of my hair is all black). It's a hot mess there (and my hair)! so don't get the highlights because they are not worth $95.00 just go to a real salon. read more

I hate giving this place any stars because they truly are the worst. I've never been more disappointed in a haircut/salon then the experience I had here. I came in Saturday for a simple trim and ended up with the most horrible uneven haircut I have ever had. My hair was very long and I only wanted a trim, I was specific about that and apparently the lady was either dumb or hard at hearing because she cut at least 5 inches off. Not only did I leave with my hair completely chopped off but it looked so damn horrible!!! I could have done a better job myself. I went to get my blonde highlights, and just after she starts I see a roach, then more coming down the mirror coming out the drawers, and while I was freaking out, they get out roach sprays! They were spraying it under my feet while I was under the blower! If this review had a negative rating option I would have chosen that instead! A one star rating is too high as far as I'm concerned. The shop is not bad, at least as far as appearance goes. So, if you drove by and looked through the windows and didn't stop, it would be a nice place. If you happen to actually stop in and ask for a haircut that's were you start running into problems. Unless you are Hispanic DO NOT go here unless you have a translator, as 90% of the "barbers", and I use that term loosely, are Hispanic women. I came here one day after work since I seriously needed to trim my ends. So I came in & didn't have to wait. An old Hispanic woman with dyed hair & overly done makeup took me & asked what I wanted done. Told her just the split ends about 2 inches. She started to spray my hair with water making it damp, which was fine but I asked if she could wash my hair. She had the audacity to tell me they don't wash hair there, which is bullshit because I can clearly see the washing station not too far from where I'm sitting. She cut my ends & grabbed the blow dryer & kept swinging it in her hand back & forth on my hair. My hair was still damp & she said we were done. I asked if she was going to style my hair & she said very annoyed "we don't style hair here". Told me my cut was $7 & walked away from me towards the back of the salon. I was fucking furious!!!! I was ready to leave her only $1 for her crappy hair cut. I left that $7 there & had to go spend more money at another salon closer to my house bcuz she cut my hair uneven!!! Dina's is Great! My 2 grandson's and my husband go there for their cuts. Very reasonable and you don't have to wait that long! The other day my grandson left his Kindle there by mistake, when we realized that he did not bring it out with him after his appt. the shop was already closed.
