This salon in La Grange is fantastic. I have an allergic reaction to some hair dye and need RedKen dye which a lot of salons don't carry anymore, but they do! They were responsive and polite and Nicole does a fantastic job on my cut and color. They just got a fresh interior redo so the space is bright, open, and friendly. There's an expanded shopping section full of Moroccan Oil, Amica, and RedKen products. The only negative is they don't answer the phone or return phone calls, so you have to do everything on the website, which can be confusing the first time you're booking. read more

This is the best, most reasonably priced salon I have ever been to. I used to go to a bougie salon downtown that charged $50 just to blow dry your hair!!! That's insane! My stylist at D'Amici is amazing. She blow drys, styles and trims my bangs at no extra charge to my service. Everyone there is wonderful and highly trainings. read more

I'm naturally blonde, I asked for a root tap or even a glaze for some blending bc I didn't like my harsh root line(as my hair naturally lightened in the sun but my part was still prominent) I don't think my stylist listened to me at all. If I don't like a harsh line why would you make it larger? I left the salon looking like I was due for a touch up. Chocolate brown dye that wasn't blended all through my hairline and part. Even on my white blonde baby hair. I really have no words. I paid $165 plus tip for this color plus a trim. I was looking for a style change with my cut but after I saw the color I opted for just a trim as that was my safest bet. Please stay away if you're blonde. This doesn't even match my natural hair color. I've emailed the salon for a refund and I never received a response. What the heck...I have no formal hair training and I could've blended this better. I'm still reeling over this color even after it's gone. I've never experienced anything like this before. And I didn't want to say anything while I was there because I was scared to have her touch my hair again. What waste of time and money. UPDATE: I called the salon today to speak with one of the owners and I got Laurie on the phone. Not sure of her role at the salon but she said the owners probably wouldn't be calling me. She said I was on her "list" to contact but I think this definitely should've been a top priority due to the absolute lack of skill that went into my services. She refused a refund and was so unprofessional on the phone. "I'm not sure why you'd want to talk to them when they're just going to tell you the same thing. This is my arena and I usually resolve any client issues." Yet she wasn't trying to resolve my issue. I would never allow anyone at the salon to touch my hair again. I'll drive into the city and pay double just to make sure my hair is done correctly. Which is what I did immediately after my appointment here. Gross disregard for clients. read more

She is the sweetest, kindest individual and really takes the time to listen to your requests! I've left all my appointments loving my new cut. I highly recommend booking with Elisa!!! I haven't been to a salon in forever because I just got sick of stylists who just don't listen or care. Elisa really took her time discussing my condition, my wants and my hair's needs. She did an AMAZING job on the cut!!! My hair looks and feels thick and luxe - which is huge deal because I have a thyroid condition that causes hair thinning & loss on top of my hair's texture changing now that I am in my 50s and going gray. Which brings me to the color - I was a little intimidated before the appointment and wasn't sure what to do about my color and getting rid of the gray. Elisa took her time explaining our options and figuring what I wanted, what would look best as well as what would be best for my hair. It came out FANTASTIC!!! Last night was my first time visiting the salon and Constantina was my stylist. She did a beautiful job and I look forward to visiting her again. I went in for a touch up, highlights, and a cut. She was warm and welcoming and so easy to talk to. She is so talented and gave me exactly what I wanted.... I am thrilled! The color is beautiful and the cut is perfect. She moved to this salon and I'm impressed! The salon is so clean and well ventilated, sounds like a silly thing to be so excited about but I'm pregnant so it's very exciting for me. Krista is outstanding every damn time. I was blue black in December and now I'm an amazing ashy balayage brunette. The best part? She made the huge hair transformation while keeping my hair incredibly healthy. She's always recommending the right products for any issue. This salon uses redken, Krista's always recommending great product from redken for me. Anyway, also recently cut my hair off because cute textured short hair is in, right? She of course killed it and I'm getting so many compliments! Basically, run don't walk if you're in a hair rut. From the minute I walked into the salon everyone was wonderful! The staff took my coat and offered me a drink even though the salon was obviously very busy. The waiting area is very nice and I loved the Christmas decorations and great music. I arrived early because I know how annoying it is for people in the service industry to be backed up with clients. I only waited a very short time... about ten minutes until Lauren was ready for me. I've been wanting a crisp silver color for a long time and this was my first time in the salon. Lauren did a consolation with me so we both were clear on my expectations and what she could do to get me there. I was super excited to get started! The whole time I was there, the entire staff was friendly and the clients around me were super happy with their results. I even had the most AMAZING shampoo from one of the staff... I am hoping someone at the salon can comment on her name because I want to give credit where credit is due. She was wonderful! I never at anytime felt pressured to buy any product, but the staff used this amazing shampoo and conditioner, Olaplex, which is used to repair your hair in between services. It left me hair feeling so great and they were having a buy one/get one half off sale so I bought it with no regrets! I love it. I'm in love with the outcome of my hair and we are very close to getting that silver color I am going for. (It's not really a one and done service, which I knew coming in). Yikes. I will not be returning here. I was searching here for some salons in my area that offer balayage and this was the closest one to me. Kind of in a hole-in-the-wall shopping strip along La Grange. Wouldn't notice it unless you were actually looking for it or if you send your kids to the dance studio right next to it. I walked in and it seemed clean and spacious. My stylist just finished with her client right before I came in so it was perfect timing. I sat down at the chair and received my consultation. Showed her what I was going for, she offered some advice, and then we got to it. My stylist was pleasant enough. Engaged in conversation, but for the most part we were silent. My hair was really long at the time and I agreed to get some of it cut after the color. While she applied bleach, she noticed just how much hair I had and she said that she wouldn't apply color to my ends as much since she was going to cut it off anyway. She said that way she could conserve product and not have to go in the back and mix more as often. I obliged, but in my head I was thinking, "What if it comes out uneven in the end?" I continued to watch her apply the bleach to my hair in a fashion that I didn't recognize as being balayage. I was almost certain there would be defined lines. It wouldn't be the color melt I was looking for. But at least she didn't use foil. It looked like my hair was lightening up nicely, but when we washed it out it looked a little brassy. I told her I was trying to avoid that in the beginning. She began cutting my hair and I think she had to cut more than I wanted to compensate for not coloring my hair all the way to the end. The cut itself was really sloppy. She didn't even texturize. My layers were bluntly cut and straight instead of angled and fluffy. When I went home I looked at it more closely and saw just how bad the cut was. It was not clean or symmetrical. I wanted to get it recut at my regular salon but I saw that it would mess up the coloring because there were clear lines under the layers that would definitely peak through and look ugly if my layers were shortened. Also, there were a few spots near the top of my head that got bleached because she accidentally touched it. I paid $200+ for a bad job. Never again. Don't advertise on your website saying you have stylists who specialize in balayage coloring if it isn't true. Balayage is not the same as ombre. I think this place is more suited for those looking for a classic look, not the place you want to go if you're looking for something edgy. read more

I've driven past this place both times, I've been there but that's probably my fault. Everyone is really friendly and couldn't beat the price. I went here because I had a wedding and my regular stylist was on vacation. So glad I went here. Service was great and everyone was friendly, a few people offered me water or whatever. Guys beware it's a typical salon, lots of gossip and girl talk. But if you want sports and a crappy hair cut, you know where to go. Will be back. Serivce: Ah, Jarmine, you are so good at what you do! Every time I get a cut or color by Jarmine, it turns out beautifully. She gives excellent advice and is one of the best colorists I've ever had. If you like to get the flat-iron treatment, she is great with that too. She knows how to get even the most kinky hair, bone-straight. She is very precise with her cuts and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Salon: This salon is brand-new with really chic, clean, and coordinated interior design. They offer you beverages and often have little treats to share as well. I've been seeing Rebecca for over 7 years for all my hair cuts and coloring needs. I originally met her through that "other" salon down La Grange Road and then followed her to D'Amici. Rebecca is the sweetest and most patient stylist I ever dealt with. She always has a smile on her face and always gives me the best advice on what cuts/colors I should try or not try (because Lord knows I've come in with some weird ideas before). I usually see her every 8-10 weeks and I have been completely satisfied with the finished product every single time. You will not be disappointed if you make an appointment with Rebecca! The only (sometimes) slight negative is the parking. The salon is located in a tiny strip mall right off La Grange Road. If you go on a Saturday (usually late morning - early afternoon seems the most crowded), you may not be able to find parking in the lot. read more
