Double IPA was a bit sweet according to hubby, but he wasn't complaining. We had a private party so I can't comment on food, but it didn't look like they had any. Renting the place for a private party was very nice and everything ran super smoothly. So much fun, and I will definitely go back for their IPA, even though they're 50 minutes away... that's saying a lot.

(They also have fun N/A options including bottled root beer and Izzie.) While they have some snacky foods available, you can bring your own food in or order food their. Instead, a lady opens up a window, you ask for your desired booze, and cha-ching...a transaction has occurred. That easy. You can always choose to fight the innate Midwestern laziness and go inside too. Now keep in mind that there is a very high-pitched beeper that rings continually until the door returns to a closed position (in other words, don't piss off the employee by opening the door widely or taking too long to step in). You also may be surprised to see the employee's cat who lays still on a desk and seems to be stuffed--Nope, it's alive alright (and probably hates when you wake her up with the doors alarm). I was happy to see that they have a good sized wine selection, in addition to several fridges for cold beverages. You definitely can't beat the prices, especially when compared to alcohol selling chains like CVS or Pick N Save. He remembers his regular customers and has fascinating stories from his time living in Asia. It's the kind of place where you feel like more than just another transaction. The store offers a large variety of liquors and beers, with something for just about every taste. There's also a fair selection of non-alcoholic beers--a thoughtful inclusion we really appreciate, though we'd love to see even more variety in that category as demand continues to grow. The wine selection isn't exotic, but it's clearly curated with the local customer in mind. You'll find quality bottles at fair prices--perfect for everyday sipping or easy gifting. Geneva Liquors is a great example of what a neighborhood liquor store should be: clean, welcoming, well-stocked, and run by someone who truly cares about the community. There are a couple of tasting rooms once you walk in - The staff at our tasting were so animated and made our experience very enjoyable. You are given a double-sided sheet with all of their options and are able to choose 5 to taste for free (tip once finished for the excellent service!)....all descriptions are listed next to either each cider, wine or spirit. I will say, it was very difficult to choose, but I found that I enjoyed their semi sweet ciders the most and bought a couple of 4 packs to take home (even though it's very easy to get carried away since everything we tasted was delicious)

Larry the owner (I doubt his name is Larry, but more like Patel) has what your looking for and always has new stuff to try. He's quite the character. The second time I came in he was running out from behind the register and was calling me by name and wanted to show me a new bourbon he just got in. He can always get the good stuff other stores have a hard time finding. Thanks Larry!
