Not the best prices I've seen but not unreasonable. The staff were very helpful in checking to see if they can get hold of some rarer bottles. They have a nice selection of store picks as well, and seem to highlight everything from Jeppson's bourbon with different finishes (not talking Malort) to high end Barrell and Nashville Bottling Co offerings. There are some nice sales as well that are very tempting. Besides bourbon, a very nice single malt section. When I was there, there was a lively crowd at the bar talking world politics....interesting but the liquor they were consuming clearly didn't help them make salient points. I emailed the…read morefollowing to Binney's Beverage Depot customer support: Dear Tech(s): In the current economic climate (resulting from the COVID inflation), everyone is stressed to their limits and watching their pennies. This being the case, your shopping experience could be much better--and I know that you can do it because the Peapod company was able to do it. First--for all applicable wet and dry products, please add a line of code for "price per ounce"--not quart, package, etc. (for company input and consumer readout). This gives all products a level playing field so that consumers can know "cost per value" as they make their choices. For those on a budget--which is just about everyone these days--they need to make sure that they get the best product that their budget allows. Second, you need to work on your Search coding. Primarily, add a "price per ounce" search option with "low/high" options. Secondarily, you need to tighten up your search fields and expand the choices. I tried a search on "sugar free mixers" and had to scroll through flavored vodkas, regular mixers containing sugar, etc. EXAMPLE: a search option that will only produce "sugar free" results would be awesome for up to 60% if your customers. (Women 50% generally want lower calorie drinks; plus at least 10-15% of the US population is diabetic or pre-diabetic.) Regarding the 10-15% diabetics, they can imbibe CAREFULLY: They need to count the carbohydrates of each food/drink they ingest. "Pure Alcohol" is a "fat" which doesn't negatively impact a diabetic unless overdone. Therefore, it's very important to include any "nutrition information panel" on every product. As a consumer, I want to be able to input what I want, get on-point results, and be able to sort them based on "price per ounce" (just like the tags on the store shelves). Honestly, since the Peapod company was able to do this with their mobile app, I see no reason that you can't implement the same professionalism in your app. I sincerely hope that you can take your app from the dark ages into the 21st century. Go to the website to get hours & phone info, no hours listed but found a phone number. I called it but it went to a dead mailbox. Odd as it's been open a while. I waited 15min then left. I was not happy as I drove 30min to get something nice from here instead of Binnys. These guys have an impressive Tequila selection online and I wanted to see what they had in person. Ok, so 2nd visit. I was working down the street and it was early afternoon. I figure they have to be open. They were! First impressions were great as they guy working was super nice and gave me store hours etc, lol (10am-10pm). They have a VERY GOOD TEQUILA Selection!! I bought 3 bottles that I wanted to try. Here's the only odd part about this store. They literally have a wall of bottles I swear 15ft high?! You cannot even see what is up there. They have to get a lift and go up if you want something. But how do you know what is even there? The website doesn't show you stock of the specific stores so you can't tell that way either. They do have some hard Cider choices that I'm a fan of in the walk in beer cave. Service was absolutely friendly and staff was very helpful. It's a quiet establishment too but I'm sure it's busier at different parts of the the day.

STOCK UP This place…read morereminds me of being a kid. When my parents went to stock up for parties or Christmas presents they always went to a store like this. There are not many of these little stand alone small liquor stores anymore. So this place has a sweet spot in my heart and when I'm in the area I try to patronize them. This place always has a ton of parking, so you won't have to worry about searching for a spot. The staff is always friendly and are really fast at getting customers out the door. The owners are even hip and use Belly, as a rewards program. I typically do not see Belly outside of Chicago. I'm sure many Gurnee people are not into Belly but its a good feature. They also sell lottery tickets here. Hopefully I'm lucky tonight. I always try buying my tickets in the burbs cause you never ever hear about anyone from Chicago winning the lottery. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. So you can't go wrong here between the liquor and the gambling. It's like Vegas without the indoor smoking or airplane ride.
