Having certified pizza expertise endears me to local Italian restaurants. While I remain loyal to my favorite spots, I'm obliged to branch out should a good deal present itself. I'm pleased to say that Dino's 50/50 (pep/easy garlic) thin crust was supremely delicious. Sauce, cheese, and crust texture came together with perfect oven timing, neither undercooked or burnt. One important note that supersedes this restaurant and applies to everyone I've patronized in the Jeff-park area. 9/10 thin crust pizza orders come tavern style, whether it's advertised or not. The ingredients cover the entire pizza, there is little to no crust. I may be a traditionalist, but I cherish my pizza crust- there should be at least an inch from the edge and it's absurd to require a special instruction note upon ordering. Many locations have insisted that the onus is mine, and to take responsibility for my crust or suffer the cheesy consequences. Some require the specific length, 1-1/2" space, so it's a well noted, crystal clear, directive. With that being said, Dinos has made my list of "favorite pizza with crust caveats" but I'm looking forward to the next order. read more

We stopped at Dino's with my daughter's friends from play group. I hadn't heard of the place before and honestly was confused where I was until I left and got my bearings, but it's right on the edge of Norwood Park a few blocks from Harwood Heights. We came for the pizza, and it wasn't bad. We got a thin crust sausage, and the sausage was great. Thin crust isn't really my jam, though, and cracker crust especially. The crust was a little bland for my tastes in addition to being a cracker thin pizza. The place was really noisy, which was good in that our kids couldn't possibly bother anyone but bad because I could barely hear the woman sitting across from me when she talked, let alone a woman a couple seats down. Having to shout to be heard isn't really pleasant for me. But it was a busy night, being near the holidays, so maybe that's atypical? Then again, the room in which you enter is much smaller and quieter, so it may just be that it would have been loud regardless. Parking is practically nonexistent. There seems to be a small parking lot just west of the building, but it has maybe 10 parking spots. It also was a really tight lot; I drove through and there seemed to be just enough space to do that. On the side street to the east it's permit parking only so we almost had to skip joining the others but got lucky in finding a spot just before calling it quits. read more

Husband has been talking about this place for years; the night before we head back home he decided to bust a mission into the city to get his favorite pizza. He ordered a large Italian beef pizza and added bacon. It is the best thin crust pizza I have ever had! The crust was tender and not cracker-like or dry. The beef was sliced thin and in piles dotted under the cheese. It exceeded my expectations! We were literally the last customers in the place and they didn't rush us out. The restaurant is homey and reminiscent of the pizza joints from the 80s. Overall, I am very happy to have gotten to try a real Chicago pizza made with Lake Michigan water. Since it was just me, I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was absolutely amazing! I mentioned I was staying at a hotel for the weekend, so not sure how I was gonna fit the pizza in the tiny hotel fridge and he packed up smaller boxes for whatever we don't eat at the hotel, foil, paper plates, napkins, Parmesan, oregano, red pepper flakes and even plastic ware! After the Bloody Mary, side salad and bread I ordered the pizza to go because I was too full to have any there. Tried it when I got back to the room and wow! Amazing! A nice little hole-in-the-wall pizzeria -- very clean and cozy. The food was flavorful and the service was good overall. We did have a small issue with the check, as the server accidentally overcharged us, but it was handled politely. This is my local regular pizza place. We usually order delivery but I went in for pick up last week. WOW! It's jumping inside, not sure if that's how it is regularly or it's the Dave effect. Food is great, traditional Chicago Tavern style pizza. We also love the sides. My family gets toasted ravioli and jalapeño poppers. We've been going to Dinos for many years. After the chaos on Saturday, we're done. We watched others go in and out before some of our party even ordered. The disorganization was horrible. There was nothing but excuses. The owners knew there was a party and other large groups coming in. What a way to stress the staff. We had individual checks,got told it overwhelmed the kitchen. Well, what if it was all individual couples? They had the nerve to add 20 % gratuity automatically to each bill. Tip is not mandatory its to the customers discretion. I Placed a delivery order today at 4:40pm. Whoever took my order by phone had me confirm my address, she even asked me to spell the street. I got a call from the driver at 6:45pm asking me to confirm my address only to learn whoever took my order had the address completely wrong. The driver finally arrived around 7:20pm with cold food. He took it back and now I'm trying to figure out what to eat. This restaurant is a 12 minute drive from my house during traffic. I try to support local business but this was a huge fail Dino's. Monday 01 Sept 2025, I was very surprised to find "Dino's Pizza" was open on this Labor Day holiday, but I'm glad it was open since I was dining all by myself and I was very hungry. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana dinner which came with soup and bread plus I also ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza, the food was just spectacular. My server was Zoe, I told her that I was severely hearing impaired and she was very helpful in assisting me with my order. We had a family, holiday get together here, a couple of days after Christmas. I had called at least a month or so in advance to make the reservation and I dealt with a lady named Bruna, who is absolutely wonderful and very kind, Very nice. We spoke several times before our party and the day of our party, Everything went so smoothly. We had the salad, pasta and pizza buffet with soda. It was amazing, our waitress Ann could not have been nicer. The food was phenomenal, which we knew that was gonna be the case, because Dino's does have truly the best pizza on the northwest side of Chicago, but they took such good care of us and we had such a great time. Soo very yummy . The pasta soup and salad were made just right. I was very full . There was not any room for desert . We had a reservation . They sat us in a nice area. There is outside patio dining on temperature allowing days The bread was more than enough we were offered more. My sister received plenty of coffee refills They have a small parking area but you can also find street parking some that you may pay the box . We love Dino's...especially for heart-shaped pizza on St. Valentine's Day! The BLT pizza is the best, but I recommend getting extra bacon! The salad and apps are good, too! Went there on a Saturday night with our "Pizza Group" . Made a reservation for 7pm. Turns out it was almost empty on 7 pm on a Saturday! At first I was a little suspicious: how could a place with such a great pizza rep, be so empty? A joint down the street on Higgins was slammed a few weeks ago on a Saturday night, and their pizza (and other things) was absolute crap! Well , our very pleasant witness got us seated, took our orders and our pizzas came back a short time later- as ordered, well-done with sausage Honestly, one of the best pizzas we encountered in our two- year pizza quest! Great sausage, nice fennel flavor, just enough sauce and good crispness. I wound up eating a Lot more than I intended. The bill was quite reasonable too! I'm a bit outside of their delivery are, or I'd be ordering frequently (and Frank's is just a couple blocks away from my house). We tried three different thin-crust tavern-style pizzas and they were all pretty good. While the combo and the pepperoni were tasty, the taste sensation was the BLT pizza. OK. So so many places claim to have Chicago's best pizza. I've been here 20 years and it took me 20 years to find what I think is Chicago's best. My orders have been carry out only, so I will review a dining experience in the near future, but what I can say is that this pizza is an absolute knockout. Couldn't itemize as to what it is, but there is just something. Both deep dish and pan are amazing. The sauce has incredible flavor, the cheese on the pan is stick and bubbly, and just the right kind of salty. I will update my review to include pictures when we go to dine in. Love Dino pizza! The crust is crispy and perfectly cooked. They don't skimp out on the ingredients either. We ordered the BLT pizza, my first time trying it, and surprisingly it was DELICIOUS! I loved it. It has lettuce bacon and tomato's. Nicely chopped and spread out evenly where you get to taste all the ingredients while on top of a delicious sauce on a crispy crust. I been going to Dino's for more than 30 years, I've always loved their thin crust pizza until tonight. I ordered a pizza and there was so much pizza sauce that the cheese and other ingredients slid off of the crust. I couldn't put my fingers in the crust at the edge without getting pizza sauce on my fingers. Very disappointing, maybe it's time to try Trios pizza directly across the street. read more

Me gusta mucho. It's one of last NW side pizza joints still going since at least early 80s maybe earlier. Before Phil's there was Dinos and Roselli and now only Dino's Pizza. You might find some places further east like Pete or Joe but that's inner city haha read more
