Nice "little" spot with very tasty food. The aroma in the air as you enter the door is inviting. The staff was kind. The place is small with 4, maybe 5 tables inside and two outside. We would have loved to stay and take in the whole experience, but there were no open tables inside and too cold to sit outside. We took the food to go and ate in the car. There was holiday decor for a nice touch and items on display for purchase. The flavor of the sandwiches seem to blend together nicely and the portion size was perfect. Nestled in downtown Park Ridge (with plenty of free parking), this charcuterie cafe has amazing food and libations. It's the ideal lunch spot and a fun date spot. Food: there are various options. We opted for charcuterie plates for the table to share. Two mediums fed a group of 12. There were little handwritten signs and a good selection of treats. My favorite cheese was the raspberry cheese and so tasty I would eat a whole block! We ordered the house salad which one of my guests loved. The sandwiches were ample in size and one of the guests even shared one. Drinks: this place has a variety of drinks including wines and Italian sodas. One of my guests even had a Bloody Mary in a can. Service was really good. The staff really takes in consideration sanitation and was really polite and professional. We were staying near O'Hare. Needing lunch, I found this gem on Yelp. Charcuterie is a favorite so we headed over. We were fortunate to get a table inside. Daniel's is a small place, and there are four more tables outside. Simple and straightforward menu. We ordered the bruschetta and a small charcuterie plate. This was a perfect lunch. The bruschetta came with a tapenade and mozzarella. And plenty of crostini. Delicious! Next our plate came out. Our server explained all that was there. This was just plain awesome. Oh and you won't run out of bread either. They bring you more when needed. The fig jam that came with paired perfectly with the meats and cheeses. If we lived within 30 minutes, we'd probably be here 2-3 times a month. We need to get back and try some of the sandwiches! read more

Another visit another five star review. Love this place. Service is always on point. Food is so fresh and tasty. I can't get enough of the grilled Brie green apple and prosciutto grilled sandwich. I took a colleague for the first time today after just one bite of his turkey sandwich he replied "wow this is a really good sandwich" I told him I only go to the best places and this definitely qualifies. Daniel (at least I think it's Daniel) greets you upon every visit and remembers you like a savant. My wife and I had a very pleasant experience here for lunch. We had the charcuterie board for two and it was very good. Lot of delicious things; especially the cheese. One odd thing - there were no olives ! We couldn't quite make it through it all, but we came close. The servers were helpful and friendly. This is a place were you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There are only 4 tables so you run the risk of finding that you have no where to sit. I really want to support this place, but time & again the service disappoints. They have limited hours that it really makes it hard to do business with them. I called first thing Wednesday morning to place an order for Sunday morning pickup. They were busy & had to call me back later that afternoon. I said that was fine, but I needed it for Sunday morning. He didn't call me back. I went into the store Thursday around noon to try to place the order. When I walked in, the owner asked me to wait while he showed one of the staff how to do something. After all this, when I wanted to place my order, he said I was too late to get an order for Sunday morning pickup. It is graduation, but he should have addressed that when I called the day before. His response was that it had only been 24 hours since he said he would call so it was acceptable that he hadn't yet called me. It wasn't that large of an order & they may or may not have been able to squeeze in one charcuterie plate & an order of hummus, but servicing the customer wasn't the priority. I heard about this place on Facebook and decided it would be a good Saturday to stop by. I wasn't expecting much, but I was floored about how wonderful this place was. While it's a bit of a small restaurant, the tables are set up beautifully and safely spaced. You order from the counter and then they bring out the food to your table. We got a Charcuterie board (of course), Ndjua Spread, and a Muffuletta. First, all the food is super fresh and super local ingredients! The charcuterie was huge for getting a small. It was great except I felt maybe there should have been a more variety of the meats. Still, the meats were sliced excellently and the cheese was great! Special shout-out to the Jams and mustards! The Ndjua spread was fantastic and was served in a cute way with a tea light. It also had the perfect amount of spice! Makes me want to try his other appetizers. The muffuletta was GIGANTIC! I could only eat a half! Still, it might be the best I've ever had! The bread was fresh and crunchy along with the thinly sliced meats. It was well worth the price! You don't get chips with it, but with the board and Ndjua, I had enough! They also source a great sparkling lemonade and a perfect biscotti! Both really made the meal the best! I went to Daniel's Charcuterie earlier this week with some friends and I had the most amazing time. The staff is kind and considerate, if you have any questions or concerns they will field your requests with ease. This place has a fun and chill vibe to it, everyone on the service team is amazing! Besides that, the food is phenomenal. I tried a charcuterie board which was amazing along with a bunch of other sandwiches which were also delicious. I tried the burrata and the beet appetizer which was amazing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Brie grilled cheese, and tuna melt (I definitely recommend both of those options). 10/10 would recommend this place for any occasion! read more

I have ordered from Daniel's Charcuterie in the past and the food has always been outstanding, however, the customer service I received with my latest order was terrible. I called at least three days in advance and placed an order for pick up at noon specifically because I had a very busy day and needed to bring food to a family gathering for my mother's birthday that I was hosting at her home. Stopped by at 12:15pm to pick up my order on the way and the person at the counter said they have no record of my order. I asked her to look again because I was charged for the order, so I know it was placed. She finally found it at the back of a stack of orders. I had no time to wait, so I said I would see if I could find someone to pick up the order later. Unfortunately, I was not able to find anyone as everyone had already left for the party. The owner called my shortly after I arrived at my mother's and just minutes before guests were to start arriving. I told him that the best way to make up for his staff's mistake was to deliver it to me. He said he couldn't do that, but I could reorder on DoorDash. One, I didn't have time to place an order on DoorDash as guests were about to walk in the door. Two, I shouldn't have to pay delivery to make up for his staff's mistake. I pointed out that he could call Uber pickup and have it delivered to me. He said he couldn't do that. He could do that, he just opted not to do. As a result, I will no longer be supporting this business. read more

OK all the 5 star reviews are spot on!! I met a friend for lunch that arrived at O'Hare Airport, so I looked for a cute restaurant near her hotel. The reviews caught my eye and the photos looked intriguing. I am sooo happy to have found Daniel's Charcuterie! The neighborhood is quaint, with quite of few restaurants, bars and tea/coffee shops. We pulled up on a tree lined street to see a cute little storefront restaurant. Pretty cafe tables were available outside for al fresco dining. Once inside, the street front windows allowed tons of sunlight into a cozy and inviting room. The decor is simple and sweet. There are a few tables for dining and a nice collection of wine and other items for purchase. At the back of the store is a counter for ordering. The woman working was so kind and gracious. She told us to choose a table and brought over our menu. We went to the counter to order and pay. Once our lunch was ready, she brought everything to us. She was always smiling and checked on us often. In addition to their incredible charcuterie boards, they also have salads, sandwiches, desserts, wine and fun, fresh soda. The menu is somewhat limited but certainly offers enough to keep everyone happy. The portion sizes are very generous too. I loved my salad with a tasty, homemade balsamic vinaigrette and a fresh tuna sandwich on a croissant. My friend had a salad and a giant sandwich on gorgeous sesame bread. The lovely lady working also brought over complimentary Almond Biscotti that made me a believer. My overall impression of the clean, cheerful and inviting spot is very positive. My mom took me here on a lunch date yesterday for my birthday. I have never seen the restaurant before as it is definitely tucked away on a tiny street in Park Ridge. We entered and were greeted by a nice blonde lady at the register. She asked us if we had any questions or could take our order. The menu was short but far from simple. I had no idea what I wanted. This unexpected treasure in Park Ridge was a delight. The restraunt is small, only four tables, but very nicely decorated. We decided to take out, but while we were waiting for our order, I did take a peak what others were eating, and the charcuterie boards were a beautiful creation. We ordered Bruschetta, Hummas, Chicken Chopped Salad and Muffalto sandwich. All were very good, but I'm sure the presentation would have been better if we ate in the restaurant. The Bruschetta had 6 or 7 pieces of toasted bread, mozzarella slices, olive spread, brie drizzled with balsamic and tomatoes . Each were individually packaged. The hummus was excellent. There were two servings of hummus and their pita was toasted and crunchy. The chopped salad was fresh. I ordered the small and it was much larger than expected, definitely worth the price. It came with homemade buttermilk dressing. The dressing was so creamy. The Muffalto was amazing. It is so large it is impossible to eat it all at once. I'm not much of a red wine drinker but because it was recommended to us we decided to give it a shot! We ended up finishing a whole bottle and taking a bottle home with us for later because we loved it so much! We also got the small charcuterie board, which we will definitely be going back for again! The charcuterie was huge for a small and included an impressive variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, and spreads. It was absolutely delicious AND beautiful which is a plus! My fiancé and I had a lot of fun mixing and matching the various items on the board. He loved the mustard which almost looked like mustard seeds. I personally loved the fig spread which I found myself putting on everything (including the biscotti we got at the end - yum!!)! The ingredients all tasted so fresh and were a perfect pairing to our wonderful wine selection. Next, we also decided to split a Brie grilled cheese, and boy will I be dreaming about that for weeks to come. If you like grilled cheese (or even if you don't) you NEED to try this! The salad is a good size, we loved the Brie, apple and fig sandwich and the biscotti gratis was a nice touch. The tables are way too small and made it hard for us to really move around. We ordered the small Charcuterie board for $27.00 (serves 2-3 people) and two glasses of wine. The small board has a diverse of hand-cut assortment of cured meats and imported cheeses. Also, comes with fresh baked bread, crackers and a selection of fitting accompaniments fruit, vegetables, olives, dried fruit, spreads and nuts. Just an FYI you might want to either grab something later because this won't fill your up. It's just a nice place to come out and chill. The wines were all on the dry and bitter side. I asked our server which wines were sweet. She recommended a wine and it was very dry. We told her that it wasn't sweet and she tried to give us another wine. No luck it was just as dry. After, that she went back inside and never returned back. We just ended up trying to bare the dry and bitter taste. Everyone was super nice. I would come here again on another beautiful sunny day. Tables were spread out to make you very comfortable during Covid. Chef Daniel's attention to food and the appearance of food was pleasing to the eye and pallette. My wife and I were finally able to try the new Daniel's Charcuterie last night. The cozy restaurant was initially full but they took our number and called us when a table opened up. We were not disappointed. The small dining area had a French Country vibe accentuated buy the Vintage Building (built in 1920s). Staff was very friendly and attentive bringing extra little somethings for us to try in addition what we had ordered. My wife had white wine and ordered the Tuna Melt which was very good. I ordered the Melted Brie with Sliced Apples, Fig Spread, and Prosciutto which was absolutely incredible. One of the best sandwiches ever.
