I ordered a Large Meatlovers Pizza.I love love love it. So cheesy!!!! And who doesn't love cheese?!!! I also ordered their fried chicken. I requested it to be all dark meat which they did. The skin is the best part. Tasty and crunchy. However, the meat inside is a bit bland. They gave me 2 pcs of their garlic rolls. It was good. I think next time I would try it with some pasta. Good stuffed pizza. Tastes like giordanos but a lot less expensive. I was a little disappointed with the amt of sausage they put on the pizza. I think I only had 3-4 pieces on each slice so that could be made with a more generous amt. The wings were good and reasonably priced. I just got the 6 piece and the hot sauce. In the past I've been through for a late pizza slice, it was edible but nothing worth mentioning. Then the other night I decided to stop in for an order of rib tips. Before checking out I asked whether they had any fresh slices prepared that I could grab on my way out. The counter-person gawked at me with eyes widened and jaw dropped. She held that look for some moments and then responded, "we make every slice, FRESH. It will take 10 minutes" I f*cking can't stand Chicago people that react in this manner, especially in a place of business. If she were a teenager working a part time job, fine, whatever. This however, was a mature lady. Her mouth was open long enough a bat could've made a nest inside. I think that set a tone for my meal. The short of it; I've had rib tips catered from the other location. Figured I'd hit this on my commute back to the north side. Mistake. Rib tips tasted boiled and then simmered in a watered down sauce. Could be that the tips were not dried before sauce was added. (At least season the water or something) The au gratin that some reviews rave about was poor. It was topped with a thick coating of yellow cheese. The gratin looked like mush. Or smashed gratin and too salty. I took one bite and wrapped it up. $14 with tax down the tubes. They weren't miserable rib tips, they were passable. I won't bother returning. I have never seen a Hawaiian pizza with WHOLE SLICES OF PINEAPPLE (17 pieces on one HALF).. We called and told them our complaint and they told us that's just how they do it and the manager told us to request the pineapple cut up next time if that's how we wanted it (LOL). Been ordering from Mug's for years. Food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. Favorites would definitely be their thin crust pizza, pizza puff, fries (ask for well done), and the Italian beef. So good. Shoutout to their delivery driver. He actually carries doggie treats in his pocket in case he delivers to a house with pups. I just think that's super cool and goes to show how excellent their service is. Mugs. What happened? From maybe 2009 to 2014 I have been eating at Mugs, using it as a super late option for super big slices of pizza. Their hours were later than nearly every other restaurant, so that was great. Single slices are now no longer offered. If you request a single slice, the slice is taken from a storage unit and thrown into an oven...by a worker in back not using gloves. That's right, no gloves. So in the meantime while I wait for my small $4 slices of pizza, I have what looks to be an 18-23 year old guy behind the counter, give me an evil eye like I just insulted his mom. Customer service dude, don't be a negative Nancy at work. I had a direct line of sight to the oven. After it was done, it was removed with a large utensil, then placed into the container by hand. By hand! I've worked in Pizza places, they're hot and you will sweat. Should I remind anyone here that sweat is just about the same substance as your urine? Great, eh? Here's your smaller than usual, over priced slice of pizza that was barehanded by a sweaty worker while our employee looked at you like you didn't belong there.....that's the farewell greeting I expected. Instead all I heard was 'you want ranch? That costs extra' Goodbye Mugs. Shame you went sour. Hopefully your employees leave their attitude at home and your workers start using gloves all the time instead of during a health inspection. read more

So disappointed with what is happening to this restuarant. Apparently, the more locations the owners open the less they focus on making their places look even halfway decent or have decent people that interact with customers. Never been so disappointed with a business going downhill than this one. The pizza used to be amazing (very swldomly a miss, usually a total hit). Their slices used to be huge and now, their prices are the same (if not higher) and they now sell their slices to be about less than half of what they used to be. Their chicken parmesan used to be AMAZING. and now it is extremely mediocre. Their food is not bad, but not amazing either. Their service and rude demeanor and unnecessary conceitedness is where I draw the line. They expect people to not ask my questions or have any opinions. I went in after they took their small but beneficial eat in area out and just asked about it when the owner literally dropped what she was doing to stare at me while the cashier stood their and said "Yea well, it's not here anymore, we took it out". All in all, go get pizza elsewhere, you'll pay the same, get (probably better) pizza and you will actually be treated like a paying customer and not belittled. Menus for Mug's were passed out around my neighborhood. I wanted to give them a try. I decided to get dinner and ordered pizza. The pizza was good. There was a lot to the pizza. A good amount of the ingredients was on top of the pizza and the crust was a little bit thicker thin crust. The flavor of the pizza was good. The Italian Sausage was very high quality. The people were nice and friendly. There are a few tables inside. I will be returning. Next time I think I'm going to try the ribs. read more

Granted its only a couple of miles from where I live now in Niles so I expected at least an hour to 90 minute delivery time. 4:15 I get a call from the driver apologizing that he might be a bit late. I ordered the Mug's Monster Delight. A 14" pizza with 5 topping of your choice and extra cheese for $17.95 with a $2.25 delevery charge. I got double pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms and green olives. Usually when you order bacon, you get these thin crumbles that give a hint of flavor. Not the bacon Mug's uses. This is chunks of bacon that you can chew on and actually taste. The sauce was tangy, cheese was perfect and the crust was pretty good and not greasy. I was NOT disappointed. . I will definitely be ordering pizza again. read more

I like this place. My friend's have ordered from Mugs a few times. Good pizza. I ordered from them for the first time. There was a good amount of cheese on the pizza. Don't understand what another person was saying they are stingy with cheese. They don't do thin crust so avoid them if you want thin crust. Great sauce, great ingredients. Wanted bacon and they load on the bacon. My mom ordered the full slab ribs dinner with baked potato and salad. She really enjoyed their creamy garlic dressing. They however did forget the sour cream for the potato. Not a big deal but wanted to put that out there. A big plus is that they deliver up to 3 am. They are definitely better then Sarpinos who also deliver late into the night. So if you want quality food late night I recommend Mugs over Sarpinos. read more

During our visit, we were deciding between slices and calzones and we were told it would be 20 minutes for a calzone, and if we wanted something quick, we should get a slice. 15 minutes later, we walked out with our slices. They were very good slices, but they should've been upfront that the slices would be a while as well. The place is takeout only, but there isn't much of a waiting area. Food is decent or lower on most occasions. I've been going here for years and have had a mixed bag of experiences. Sometimes rude and pushy service, other times I've had stomache issues the next day (especially pre-cooked items like ribs and chicken on pizza). Today, I called in a pickup order and they forgot to cook it, so I waited an additional 15+ minutes on site. I was asked in a rude and irritated manner if I wanted my 3 cents change, after having been forgotten. I grabbed my food and finally left after sitting on the bench, while hearing them insult me through the open front door. Pretty lousy way to treat someone who has supported a business for years and has never complained or returned food, despite the inconsistency of the quality and the service level. I gave 2 stars only because I have had SOME good experiences here. Their BBQ sauce is very good also, I give credit where it is due. read more
