The sausage was okay. The meat I got for city chicken was grey and smelled funky so I threw it out.

Ordered 4 Veal chop. was told they would be 1"1/4. 3 chops were beautiful. the 4th chop was smaller than a small pork chop. Made a special event not so special. Called the store and talked to the lady answering the phone. I introduced my self and reminded her of my order. Told her what happened. Did not get any response. Phone was silent so I said goodbye and hung up. I try to support small businesses. read more

I usually get the candied bacon from West Side Market but was in the area and bought a pound from them yesterday. It have never had candied bacon so spicy before. It is nearly impossible for me to eat and I've had candied bacon from this place many many times. Hopefully it is just too much spice in one batch but it really wrecked nearly $17 in bacon!! read more

Nice people. Decent variety. Bought a few things: Bacon, ground meat, and sausages. The sausages we got the feta spinach and the red pepper. Being honest both were just okay. Kinda dry after cooking them on the grill for dinner. Bacon was okay. And ground meat okay too. I like to go to the local shops and check them out. Would I go back. Yes. What a find in the heart of Parma! All of the savory, fresh, mouth-watering cuts of meat you could wish for, along with a great mix of sides, such as fresh, in-house made ravioli and pierogi. An eclectic mix of Polish, Slovenian, Italian and everything in-between. If you don't see something that you want or can't get at your local grocery store- just ask or order ahead and they can probably have it for you (Note that the quality is 100X better than what a local grocery store can offer, since they know the sources and aren't relegated to nationwide logistics and shipping in freezer trucks). This place also has a spot at the West Side Market, since 2001. So- you know that they know what they are doing! The place was spotless and the staff was super friendly and approachable! I can't say enough great things about them. The people who work at the Parma location are just wonderful and I will never go back to the grocery store or anywhere else for my meat. Their stuffed Hungarian peppers are out of this world! My family has noticed a huge difference in the taste of chicken and meats when we have had stuff not from here. read more

I stopped into Dionne's to get a ham steak for a meal I planned to prepare and I got more than just the meat! Hahaha The customer service here is TOP NOTCH! They offered to prepare the ham steak for me which cut down considerably on my prep time and they were happy to talk to me about the different types of meat they have there and make suggestions. I also ended up purchasing some of their bacon and my hubby and I still talk about how good it is! What particularly struck me about Dionne's is how modern and clean the store is! The decor is a rustic and modern blend that is warm and inviting. They also have a small area where you can grab condiments and other pre-packaged products like bbq sauces and other various items. I absolutely love this butcher shop! There is always a ton of variety! We usually shop here on weekends and get steaks, chicken breast, wings, ground meat, etc. My boyfriend recently introduced me to ground bison and it was very delicious. They also have other items like jerky, pierogis, pasta, etc. the service is great and I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that my meat is locally sourced and not filled with a bunch of steroids and fillers. They also provide different packages so you can purchase meat in bulk at a great price. I do think the offerings may differ during the week because I sent my boyfriend to grab some steaks on like a Tuesday but there were mostly deli items like lunch meats, hot dogs, etc. P.S. to the guy who bought the "flavorless Delmonico steaks" - sounds like the problem was with your cooking and not the meat. read more

I bought about seven steaks for friends and two pork chops from this butcher. The quality was excellent and other items, like their ravioli and perogies, were a nice diversion from the "meat and potatoes" meal. Thanks to them for being an excellent neighbor to my church, Holy Family Parish. The staff was friendly and courteous compared to the discount chain like Marc's at Southland and big chain grocery stores. read more

Called in an order for curbside pick up. Quick service and so friendly. I asked about a stuffed pork tenderloin. In addition to my freezer order of several items, I also bought the cream cheese jalapeño stuffed pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. A 10 out of 10! My family devoured it! Tender and so flavorful. First time at the store, I was told that they cater to restaurants and were annoyed that I asked for lamb chops. They said I should call my order in ahead of time. I only wanted 6 lamb chops. The second time I went to their store, I asked for 8 lamb chops. When I opened the package, they looked like the discarded pieces from different racks. They were not the same size and were mostly bone. I would not recommend them. Why have a store front in a suburb if you only do good for restaurants? read more

Decent selection but a bit pricy. Last Thanksgiving I made turducken. I asked the staff for some cooking tips and they told me to roast it at 400° until the internal temp hit 200°. As a former professional cook, no meat should ever be cooked that hot unless you need a new pair of shoes. On another occasion, I was searching for squab and no one there had ever heard of it. Can they cut meat? Yes. Do they know what to do with it after it's cut? Absolutely not. If you buy meat from them, you will not be disappointed, however, for helpful cooking hints, pull out your Ouija board and try to channel Julia Child. read more
