This is one of my favorites places to eat pizza. We ordered "The Sunset pizza" it only comes in large, which is great for taking home a few left over slices. For this dinner we also ordered Antipasto salad, lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The server was attentive and the food came out very fast. The place was fresh for the 90+ degree weather so, we decided to order beer to cool down. This place has Quilmes beer which I really enjoyed. This is the first time we have dessert, the cannoli was a great add to finish our dinner. Super nice place to have family dinners with Italian fair. Good food but it overpriced. Service was great and the ambience was relaxing. The small salad was $8, which is a bit much, considering what items came on the salad. Not much. The pizza crust is made of what felt and tasted like a thick wafer. Not much flavor to the crust at all. The toppings were top notch and fresh though. Good amount of cheese. Beer was ice cold. Second time I've had issues with this place and speed of service. So I went in at noon ordered a small wedge salad and full lasagna. Half an hour later I finally asked where my food was. They finally went to check and still wasn't ready. Got my money back, not that they cared, and left. I won't be back. read more

Came here for my interview lunch and the food was amazing ! We all pre ordered. Some got pizzas. Some salad. I got a turkey pesto sandwich that was amazing ! Food was quick and service great. Good pizza, a change from the chain pizza restaurants in the area. Sandwiches and salads are great as well. Can be a little pricey but they do offer military discounts and coupons from time to time. So I've been here numerous times over the years. Basically, NORMALLY, if you JUST ORDER PIZZA, and don't get too crazy with your toppings, this place has the best ultra thin crust pizza there is In town and it's very good. But just come as a couple or threesome max.. and don't order the other menu items, or be in a large family or group like I seem to be sometimes of like 8-10. It's gonna be hit and miss on the service, the food, etc. that's been my experience every time. Last one I was here was a year ago With about 6 or 7 other couples in a supper club. One lady who came alone ordered coffee to drink, soup appetizer and a small pizza that night. They never brought the soup or the coffee but lots of promises it was coming... all she got was her pizza. But when they handed out checks, they tried to charge for all she had ordered. That same trip I had ordered two meat balls for an appetizer because they are $2.50 a piece. An antipasto salad small and I got a 14" Margherita pizza. I was brought to ORDERS of 3 meatball appetizers. And when I got the pizza it was just tomatoes and cheese. When I told them I had ordered a Margherita Pizza, the waitperson said that's what that is and I said no, it' also has Basil leaves, this is just a tomato pizza. She returned in few minutes with 5 Basil leaves in a cup from the kitchen. ‍ so I guess I was to make my own pizza. On this trip I was with a small group of 8. A few people ordered pizzas.. and loved them. One couple, Theirs was cold, the cheese would not even string, it had sat so long. Two people ordered some kind of sandwiches but they were so soggy they could not pick them up to eat them...one lady refused to eat hers and asked for a small pizza instead. One gentleman had just ordered the large bowl of soup, with added Sausage. He finally got his food last. It had no sausage in it. When the waiter finally returned he told he had ordered sausage in his soup. So he apologized and took the soup....and never ever returned ... the man never got to eat. But he Brought him a bill for his soup later! Which of course he refused to pay. I ordered a small Antipasto salad. It says anchovies optional on the menu and i said yes because i have always gotten that salad when i come and they always ask if you want them or not. and I added shrimp for $3 because i needed some extra protein since I'm following a specific diet right now. I also got ONE order of the 3 meatballs appetizer as my main course and I asked for extra cheese and to make sure it was well melted in them. When I got my salad there were 4 tiny maybe small shrimp added on one side of the bowl. I had expected a little more than that, especially if they are that small. Not even an ounce in weight I would guess. The but every thing else was as it always is. They just really short shift you on this salad here. All you get is 4 small black olives. 1 ultra thin slice of salami, about 3 pizza size ultra thin slices of pepperoni and an ultra thin round slice the same size as the salami of dry Mozzarella. The rest is 2 cups of chopped green crisp romaine I believe. And about 4 anchovy fillets. It's Tossed in what they SAY is house Italian but all I taste is some oil, there is no vinegar kick or pepper or anything. But it's fine, I always add pepper The small salad is $7. Plus my $3 for the shrimpiest shrimps ever. When I get my meat balls, which I have ordered before several times, they normally come as three nice size meatballs in a bowl, covered in some red pasta sauce and a piece of mozzarella melted over each ball. This time mine are covered in sauce. All over and swimming in about an inch of sauce all around. I can see some mozzarella under the sauce on each ball but wow, just tons of sauce and I had expected lots of cheese since I had ordered extra Cheese. When I asked the waiter he said oh I thought you said extra Sauce. ‍ he asked if I wanted him to take them back and I said no, it would be fine. After he left, I asked the lady beside me if she heard me order and she said "oh no, you were very clear, you wanted Extra Cheese. I think head distracted or something." Because he also brought a salad he swore a someone had ordered that no one had. When I got my bill I was charged $1.50 for the anchovies on my salad. That's new. I've NEVER been charged for them before. And certainly should NOT be for something that's listed on the menu as optional! I've always read that at any establishment to mean "This comes on it but if you don't want it, you have the option to exclude it". So THAT, plus the now outrageous $3 for 4 tiny salad shrimp and my $7 salad was $11.50! And since we were in a group of 6 or more we got charged a mandatory TIP for all these messed up orders and food to boot! So for a small salad, 3 meatballs and a glass of tea it cost me $27+. I know inflation & GOOD HELP Is hard to find. ... but that's ridiculous that in 12 months this place still has the SAME ISSUES. They have gotten my last dollar. read more

Honestly thought about squeezing a second star for this review but it's just not worth it. Our pizza was not cooked. The Canadian bacon was a $2.00 charge and was 100% out of a freezer bag from Albertsons. Overall flavor was pretty mild with exception of their tomato base. Quite upset that the pizza was not cooked for the $27.00 yall want for a pizza. I don't think I'll be back. read more

I've always wondered if this Ardovinos pizza, is the same as the Ardovinos Desert Crossing? I mean, the food is way different. The establishment is way different. But Ardovinos is such a unique name, that surely the two are connected, right? Anyways... This place, as the title suggests, is predominantly a pizza place. So, shockingly, they serve a bunch of different types of pizzas. Not a typical chain place though, like Pizza Hut ... this is more of a real restaurant. Think Grimaldis, but perhaps slightly better, and usually less crowded. Located in the north east of El Paso, this place is super close to my house, which is a big plus (for me). But really there's not much to say here. It's a pizza place, sit down type restaurant, and they serve .... pizza. Now now... of course there are a few other items on the menu. And some of them pretty good (they have some bomb sandwiches)... but really, if pizza is in the title, why else are you coming here? So try the pizza first, and then on your next visits, explore the full menu. If you wish, of course. read more

Ordered for Yelp's Big Night In. You know me, more food than one man can eat, but didn't stop my from trying. Started with pesto green chile mini calzones. The chile gave just enough heat without overwhelming the pesto flavor. The only issue was the dough was rolled a bit thick, so it was more chewy than I prefer. I ordered my usual garden green salad with anchovies. I'll usually order this full size and that's enough for dinner, no sharing! Good as ever. I got the 4 seasons pizza, which fortunately has changed. It's prior incarnation had pepperoni on it, if memory serves. I know I was irritating the hostess asking so many times. I asked for Calabrese peppers (aka Calabrian chile) on it which caused a bit of confusion. I had to let her know where it was on the menu, and even then wasn't sure if they had it. They did! And man, that added a nice little kick. Based on Food tv personality reactions, I was expecting it to blow my head off, but its nickname of the Devil's Kiss is accurate. Just a kiss of heat to make ya tingle. Although I'm a fan of cannoli, I decided to go to childhood comfort and get spumoni for dessert. Reminds me of NY. Bright colored, pistachio, chocolate, cherry ice cream. I was going to order beer when I saw it in the drive through. The first one I ordered they were out of, so I ordered two orders. I ordered the 4Mini Calzones and a small gourmet pizza with Canadian Bacon, Pineapple and Grilled Chicken. The pizza was very thin, great crunch and the sauce was just right. Received a card welcoming us to the neighborhood, the card contained a coupon for a free dine-in 1 topping medium pizza. Visited on a Friday night, we tried visiting other Friday evenings but the place was packed. This time Ardovino's was not empty nor full. The restaurant has spacious parking lot. You may sit in the outside covered area or inside. I really like the restaurant decor, you may come here with friends or family but it is cozy/private enough for a casual date. They do not have a full bar but plenty of wine and beer choices. All of the food was delicious! the pizza was unique I really liked their sauce and pepperoni. The mini calzones were also excellent but I enjoyed the green chilli ones much more that the pepperoni, the side salads were quite big!! Love this place! read more
