We hired them to open up the first floor of our Cape Cod, and they completely helped me re-imagine the space taking down several walls to create a true open-concept layout. Along the way they installed new hardwood floors across the entire first floor, redid our shower, replaced both toilets, moved our washer and dryer, and prepped all the groundwork for our kitchen renovation. The craftsmanship throughout was outstanding. The part that really earned our trust is they delivered on what they promised AND THEN SOME! They finished within the estimate they quoted, and they were remarkably fast and efficient without ever cutting corners. Glen and his crew went above and beyond at every turn. His entire team was helpful, friendly, and easy to work with from the first day to the last. I would name them all here because I've gotten to know them personally, but I'll let you experience it first hand! As a disclaimer - I worked for a major construction/remodeling association for several years, however, I have not worked in the industry for a long time - I have nothing to gain through this review. However I do have a bit more knowledge than your regular consumer. I have family with a house in need of remodeling and repair. We have called many contractors for initial discussions via phone and scheduled in office meetings with a few - to be followed by home visits. This was all explained the Ajay representative when the initial discussion was held via phone and then again when my family had a meeting in Ajay's offices. Last week, however, when the same representative from Ajay came to do a walk through of the house, he had the audacity to state to my family member: "I'm putting a gun to your head, this price is good for the next five minutes, I'll walk out and you'll never see me again" and then when the Ajay rep left the house he actually said, "have a nice life" The absolutely lack of professionalism, the sheer arrogance and attitude demonstrated by this individual was appalling. The Ajay representative made comments about how he made "a special trip" out to the house while he barely spent anytime looking around before providing a total cost for the job. He was combative, argumentative and accusatory. Regardless of how much lower his quote might compare to the others, no matter how many awards Ajay has won - we will never, ever give one dime of business to this company. Because of this individual. I am reaching out to Ajay directly to give them a chance to respond. I am also reaching out to the remodeling association that this company is a member of - because they need to know this is the behavior of one of their members. The average consumer has a lot of home work to do in advance of working with contractors - and Ajay just hurts the industry by giving people a good reason not to trust these companies. Consumers beware and do NOT allow yourselves to be bullied or strong armed into anything - there are great companies out there who will treat you with respect and appreciate that remodeling and home repair is a significant investment. Don't ever feel pressured by someone like this.

Like the review below, said he would make a "special" trip to take a look at what I needed done. Not sure why it was a special trip if contractors normally show up to the site to take measurements and provide an estimate. He arrived to take a look at the house, took some measurements and had a very brief look at what he needed to get done. He enters some figures into his calculator and came up with some random number, then said how much do you want to put down. I was thinking, he couldn't be serious. We had him come for an estimate and he now expected us to sign a contract. He got angry and became very rude. Started insulting us and then walked out because we didn't want to sign the contract. He said the quote just went up another 20 grand if we change our mind. That's the experience with Ajay. I am sure a lot of other people have been through the same. Stay away!
