We headed here three times while in town and it honestly was good ice cream with good service. I'm…read morealways impressed that they make their ice cream at the site which is refreshing. Don't expect your mind to be blown, but it probably is the best game in town for ice cream!

We had just finished up another free blues concert at the Burpee Museum (there are 3 left for the…read moreseason!) which is every Wednesday at 5:30 pm, and I was looking for a quick desert. This place got the nod. When you walk in, you walk towards the back of the place, and then find someone to order your ice cream. They had a bunch of flavors, but one of them caught my eye (okay, several did, but I had to cut back). I went with their Cheesecake special, which was their cheesecake ice cream with strawberries, blueberries and graham cracker crust mixed in, in a cup. The counter person grabbed a large chunk of cheesecake ice cream (larger than I expected), and maneuvered it to the cold stone. There she worked in the graham cracker crust, the strawberries (2) and blueberries (around 8) into the ice cream mix. Then she placed it carefully into a cup, stuck in a spoon, and I paid for the mixture. I only had to wait a few minutes to be served, and they had a lot of customers. Seating is available inside, so we grabbed a seat and ate the ice cream. It was pretty good. The place is your typical ice cream place - pictures of product on the walls, and ice cream in the freezer cases in front of you. Honestly, if you are looking for good ice cream you can stop here and get some.

Always a big hit for us! Following 2020, they updated their…read morestore to be a walk up window with a separate pick up window. This makes so much sense, as the interior space for customers was miniscule. There is plenty of outdoor space and seating options to enjoy your ice cream concoction. For those who need it, they now have gluten free cones! They do have Dairy free ice cream options as well as sugar free options. I love that they have your typical flavors, then they have a decent selection of other flavor choices.

This place shines with their many flavors of cold packed flavors that rotate regularly and local ambiance. Don't be afraid to try the ones you might not have tried before! They're excellent. Salty caramel cashew one of our favorite. Blueberry Lavender good too (who knew?). Some flavors go fast like peaches and cream and brownie batter. But don't be discouraged if it isn't there as there is always something excellent. Always a non dairy option or two as well. They tie in local themes with the Rockford area and Rockton as well. Quaint location and usually a little bit of a line, but moves quickly. The portions are huge with fresh cones of different varieties. Though their flavors are the spotlight, they have sundaes that are excellent as well. Need to figure out the thickness of what a milkshake is but still a 5 star from us!
