Dari-Ripple is a small but busy place especially when it gets hot and it's time to chill. Has plenty of classic flavors. There's also stuff like Dole Whip. Be ready for a line. It has a pretty tight parking lot too. There's not too many tables close to it, but there's some more benches from there a ways. It's next to a kind of park. Place to go and chill there. Got some of the Dole Whip in a cup. It's $5 for the regular size. A good amount. They have pineapple and you can get it as a float. Has better choices for the cold food like the ice cream. Stopped here as a spur of the moment treat for Father's Day. I got a dole whip, it was amazing! My husband got a peanut butter shake, which he scarfed down in less than 10 minutes and my daughter got a German chocolate shake, which is now all over her face. I'm only giving three stars because it seemed that there were so many people, but the employees didn't seem to be in any hurry to get people's orders to them in a timely manner. Plus, my husband shake was pretty much melted by the time we got it. In addition, we waited 25 minutes for two shakes & one Dole whip. Always used to come here for shakes and they were so thick and it actually took a while to finish one. For the last year with tonight being the worst I got to shake and it was so watery it was terrible and it had very little raspberry flavor. Every time I'm visiting my grandparents, I make a trip to Dari-Ripple. First, this place looks plucked right out of 1952, and I am all about the 1950's (minus the whole lack of civil rights bit). They're right downtown on the water with plenty to see and do in both directions while you eat your ice cream. Second, they have the most delicious peanut butter sauce I have ever had. It is rich, salty, and so delicious running through their ice cream. I always want to try something different, but I can never seem to pass up their peanut butter milk shake. According to the locals, this place has, "gone down hill," but as long as their putting this peanut butter sauce on ice cream (or anything, really), I'm headed to Dari-Ripple every summer day I spend in this town. read more

In a building right off the river and next to a park, this ice cream stand has the right location for a warm summer evening treat. You walk right up to the window (menu is posted on the side of the building) and order. After receiving the chilled goodness, round back there are picnic tables with umbrellas and more picnic tables just beyond the parking lot under a huge tree. Together we ordered a large strawberry smoothie, a small strawberry shake and the ice cream sandwich with a chocolate chip cookie "bun". The total was no more than $9. All were delicious (I finished my shake; a rare accomplishment). They asked if we'd like fresh strawberries or the syrup, so it was nice to know I had choices. First of all everything I have tried different things on their menu each time and every time everything was hands down delicious especially pumpkin pie with a la mode hard ice cream during the fall season. We saw positive reviews on here on and have always wanted to try for about a year and it's sad that we waited that long! It's delicious and there's usually a small wait during the summer night. They have around 10 different to choose from like 'smores' which is vanilla ice cream with small marshmallows, crumbled graham cracker and chocolate shavings. Damn good! My big group came here after the Belvedere Park Pool closes due to lightning. They were able to take our orders and bring them out in a timely manner, which was impressive. We had a big group and there were a couple of other big groups. I ordered the Brownie Delight Cyclone (blizzard, but they call it a cyclone). It was pretty good, but I just wish that I got more for what I payed for ($4 for about the size of a cup for a medium drink at McDonald's). I also thought the brownies were a bit dry. But my girlfriend got a huge mint chocolate chip ice cream cone - two scoops. It was already a massive cone, and there was an option for 3 scoops. The 2 scoop cone was only $3, which I think is a fair deal considering the size. My girlfriend really liked it. I think that I will come here again and get a huge cone. I used to Love this place as a kid. It was so tasty and fun. Recently, I've been really disappointed by the service and the food. I had a soft serve vanilla cone and it tasted chemically as if the machine was cleaned but not fully rinsed out. It was pretty dang gross. I've only ever gotten food there once which wasn't the best. On 6-5-10 I loaded up my grand children into my car promosinig them ice cream at dariripple at 8:55 pm because a sign on the front of Dari ripple said they would be open until 10:00 pm when I got there they were closed at 9:01 pm leaving me with crying grandchilren and me with egg all over my face i would recomend that you take your business any where else but Delpra's dari ripple if you do not want to horribly disapoint the ones's you love read more
