First, we don't ever wander over to this shopping center unless to go to Marcs. It is very run down! We Stopped in to try Vinnys pizza (on a recommendation) and walked in here while we were waiting for the pizza to be cooked. We grabbed three of the Popsicles. Not your dinky grocery store Popsicles. These were made with chunks of real fruit frozen in. They have about 20 fruit flavors made with coconut water like watermelon, cantaloupe, guava, mixed fruit and 20 cream flavors like strawberry and cream, caramel, and coconut. My son got a bubblegum cream one, hubby a strawberries and cream, and I got a mixed from with chile. Yes I said chile... I asked the lady which was most popular and she said that was it. We brought them home to eat after the pizza. My son scarfed his down and won't let anyone taste, so that means he loved it. I took one bits of mine and it had great flavor, and than the chile set it. It was HOT HOt and not something I was used to and quickly learned it was not something I liked. My husband had a few bites of his and felt bad for me and gave me his. It's was awesome! Big slices of strawberry in a wonderful gelato type cream. I can't wait to go back to try those mango things!!! Pops are $2 and some change. Grab a few and bring them home to freeze. Ice cream is very good here. So fresh and so many choices to choose from. They also sell them by the bar which is always great to take home but be careful on hot summer days because they tend to melt very quick! Doriloco's (I think that's how it's spelt) is a crazy good snack! It's huge and I'm sure it's packed with a crazy amount of sodium but it's so good. Elotes here are definitely a miss. The one one ordered was completely bland and salty. I rather wait to buy it from a cart. As far as service goes, every time I come here it seems like me and my friends always gets stuck with the lady that doesn't speak English very well. Makes it a little difficult since it's hard to read the menu since it's mostly in Spanish and there are no descriptions to it lmao. If you want to be stared down at while you put extra sauce in your dorilocos then this is the place for you! My visit here was bad, there was only one worker and he was on his phone the entire time. Me and my friend went for some snacks and got the dorilocos since we love them. The Doritos chips were stale and the worker stared at us when we wanted to add more Valentina sauce cause we like it spicy, he sounded very stingy about the sauce because he said "more?" In a rude way. After we got our snacks he was trying to convince us to buy more stuff, which we did not want and said no, he proceeded to name what they got when we weren't interested. After we payed, we wanted to sit down and eat since outside was chilly and there was nobody else in the store but the worker looked at us like he didn't want us to sit and eat in the restaurant. By FAR this is the best ice cream I have ever had. Unique flavors are the key. And the consistency is somewhere between custard and gelato. Rockford folk should be lining up for this place. I didn't even know we had these here. I was introduced to this brand of ice cream in Wheeling in what I thought was a non-chain store. Even with this being a chain, as it would seem, I won't hold that against them. Forget 31 Flavors and Dairy Queen and Culvers. This is a hidden gem that should be on a must go to list. I am disappointed they no longer sell the cheese ice cream. Trust me, it was delicious. Don't let the name fool you. Will be back again and again and again. Bring back Cheese Ice Cream! read more

Where has this place been all of my life. There were so many options to choose from. There were about 20 different flavors of popsicles. We had the strawberry cheese cake, lemon cake with raspberry jam and my son had the strawberry. Everything was sweet with out bring overwhelmingly so. read more

Lovely ice cream. My favorite there is their cookies and cream flavor. My sister is extremely picky about what vanilla ice cream she will even eat. She absolutely loved their vanilla flavor. We were in Rockford for the week and wanted to try something different - after reading about La Michoacana we were excited to try it! We went on a Saturday evening. It was overwhelming with all the options and I was disappointed to see that many of the containers were either low (I don't want to bottom scrapings!) or had ice crystals on them (including the popsicles) which to me, means the ice cream is old. Several ice creams had a sheen to them that made it look like maybe they had melted and refroze? I was impressed that they make all the ice cream right there, and maybe some of what I noticed is simply due to the type of ice cream. We tried several samples but were underwhelmed. Pistachio, one of my favorites, tasted like banana so hubby got a vanilla cone and I went with the mint. It was a soft consistency that I didn't care for and there were ice crystals in it! Glad we tried it but wouldn't go back for ice cream. read more

Terrible customer service. I've been going there since they opened, but after today I'm done going there. I purchased a strawberry water and they literally gave me ice. When I asked about It she said it was supposed to be like that. And she tried to make me seem like I was dumb. They rather lose a loyal customer then give me a different one now that's sad.
