It's clean. The staff is pleasant and most of their work is really good. My one issue is with acrylic nails. They don't use any anti fungal on the nail bed before a full set or a fill, because of that you get dark fungal spots. Then they CHARGE you to put on a new nail. I went to this nail salon, and Ivy did this acrylic manicure for me. She's the best nail technician I've ever encountered in the U.S. when it comes to shaping nails--so detailed and perfect. The result is not bulky or thick, and it looks very fresh. Initially, I wanted to go for a colored style, but the shape was so perfect that I chose a sheer look instead. I took my daughter there to get our summer vacation nails done like we always do but this is the last time. I asked for some nail designs and the women was irritated about it then she put a sad little flower on my toe that looks like something you would put on a child. Deserves more like 10 stars rather than 5 stars but let me start this review off with a note; I have severe anxiety that stems from me being an agoraphobic (fear of places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment. Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder that often develops after one or more panic attacks). when I reached out on yelp to try and find a new nail salon I was already scared enough having to leave my house (which I only do 3 to 4 times a month) but also thinking I wouldn't be able find a nail salon that would make me feel welcomed & comfortable was overwhelming. so when I put in a request on yelp it sent my request to five different nail salons. Dips and hard gel nail & spa was not only the first one to reach out but they also replied to it almost instantly with a booked appointment for that day assuring me they would be able to do the kind of nails i wanted! well I woke up late this morning, and they had not only reminded me that I had an upcoming appointment but they were very reassuring, understanding, and just flat out amazing customer service when I told him I would be late. When I showed up and walked in, I was instantly greeted with such welcoming smiles, and hellos. The man asked me if I had an appointment, I said yes and I said my name. He instantly had me go to cheer number eight and started on my full set of acrylic nails i wanted and that we had discussed while on Yelp messaging. He could clearly tell that i was nervous, and kept reassuring me, and telling me it was okay. He even put the little mini fan on for me. Mimi (the owner, who is SO SWEET), complemented my tattoos & nail color choice, noticed i was cold and turned off the little mini fan (thank you!) and had been making sure to check on every client consistently. Had dip manicure n spa pedicure today n it was amazing. It is a new salon n ever so clean. Nail stations have partitions n the spa chairs have a clear dome partition that you can lower over your upper body or not, totally optional. It is kept very sanitized n all wear masks. There is a cool electronic check in. They have a wide selection of polish colors. They r running a soft opening 30% discount on services. The pedicure I had was one of the best I've had. I went here when they first opened. I had an appointment with M. A female started taking off my polish. I assumed M would come and do my nails and toes. However, M never showed. I decided to give this woman a chance. Well the next day the polish on two or three toes came off.k I had a gel pedicure as well, so the polish shouldn't come off for 3-4 weeks. Then the fingers started disintegrating. I went in and talked to one of the very few people who speak English. I made another appointment and they told me they would take care of me. But there was NO MENTION that I would be charged again. It was their fault and I didn't feel I should have to pay a second time. The second nail job was mediocre at best. I do not recommend this place. They need someone who speaks English to answer the phone and make appointments, etc etc. I received the name of someone who spoke English and did a great job that worked there, but when I called, she had already left. So go at your own risk. read more
