I've been a fan for a few years now! Never have I heard "no" out of Tom's mouth, when it comes to nail art , he will always try to do his best! He's super fast and consistent. Before your appointment time just call ahead to see if he's running behind due to unexpected rush of walk in clients , that way you can check out all the businesses the Pavillions has to offer or a quick stop at Starbucks. We are in town for a wedding and needed our nails done and stopped by here and I am so happy we did! We made a reservation for 3 mani-pedis and when we showed up they were ready for us to sit down immediately! I got acrylics and he made them the perfect length and shape and even mixed 2 colors for me to make them the most beautiful milky pink and did the same for my toes. I didn't grab their names but the 3 people who helped us were funny, professional and clean!! So let me start off by saying, it's kind of a weird vibe lol. The manicure tables are pushed against the right side of the room and in a narrow line and I kept getting these- Just opened a shop after buying all the nail stuff I could off Amazon feelings. I went in for a dip manicure- I had no dip on my nails to start. I sat and was on a phone call for a while in the beginning but waited for them to have a break in between people to get me started. The color selection is rough. I usually have a tough time trying to decide what colors I want, because there are so many. Not this time. They had lots of reds, yellows, oranges, a few blues and black/some glittery options...... Like I struggled to find something and even now when I'm looking at my fingers, they look nothing like the swatches. I actually hate this manicure haha. The guys goes from pushing my DRY cuticles back, a BRIEF filing and buffing, to immediately putting the color dip on- No soaking my fingers, no trimming my cuticles, cutting my nails, no base layer dip before the color, literally nothing else. He dipped my fingers 5 or 6 times a piece. That was insane. I have never had that. But he also only was applying the base coat to the middle of my nail, leaving the sides bare until the last one or two dips. I had to wait about 25 minutes for someone else to Dremel my nails. This was also a weird experience- No "What shape would you like?", she didn't Dremel smoothly across from side to side- As I've watched done to my hands countless times so my nails have these dimensions that are AWFUL. They show every imperfection. She put an excess amount of oil on my fingers, touched my hand- Maybe to consider that the final part of the "manicure" and told me I could rub the rest on the towel. Then the dude who started my hands went "Have a good night!".... Like as much as it pained me to remind them, I still had to pay.... I had to remind them I still had to pay lol. I could tell that the quality was not there so I tipped WAY under what I normally would, because lets be honest- While the nail industry is trying to cut more and more corners with what they consider a "manicure" now adays, this experience reminded me of when I was starting out test running my own skills at dipping during COVID. This guy's cuticle trimmers NEVER left the package. ONCE. Like literally not once. It was honestly a poor excuse for a service and I should have just waited until the weekend to go somewhere else. My cuticles are trash, you can see streaks of powder and imperfections in the actual dip, some spots it looks like there isn't any dip on the corners and sides of my nails, the color is absolutely awful doesn't look anything like what I picked- Like I don't even like looking at my hands as I'm typing this haha. These raving reviews are insane and I have no clue what kind of incentivization would have to be promised to get me to change my mind. Honestly, I will never go back. There's the long and the short of it. I'll attach pictures and you can decide for yourself if it's worth an 85 minute long, $50.00+ dip manicure. read more

Everybody at this nail salon was soooooo nice and I feel bad writing this review. My family and I went in for 3 pedicures today and they had a GREAT experience but unfortunately, I did not. I had to have a toenail removed by a podiatrist a few months ago due to a bad pedicure. This was my first pedicure after the removal. I got paired with a younger gentleman as my pedicure artist. He was soooo nice but I am just a bit displeased by the service. While he was filling my nail, he started to file my skin off. Not a huge deal. While cutting my cuticles, the tool was dug so hard into my nail, I was worried that my skin was going to get cut. It hurt and I was wishing the pedicure would be over during the entirety. The whole service felt very rushed and sloppy. He was so so nice but may need a bit more practice before seeing clients. The other two artists were wonderful!! read more

I've been coming to this salon for years under the previous ownership. And now, I am still a returning loyal customer. I love how the new owners have taken this spot to a higher level. It's immaculate, spotless to a tee. The music picks up my mood and their smiles are a welcome. The décor is cheerful and yet peaceful when you get pampered here. Always busy when I am there so I recommend making an appointment. They are also responsive to phone calls for appointments. The techs are all really sweet and positive, not to mention highly skilled. I've taken friends and family, each with their preference of the techs there. One major thing that stands out for me, they have never cut me while doing a manicure or pedicure. My polish usually lasts for 2-3 weeks if I do a gel. Powder gel is a bit more but so worth it because I've had my manicure last for almost two months. However, I think it is harder to decipher the powder colors so it's easier for me to gravitate to gel. They have THE best pink variations since that's my go to. Prices are relative to the service and professionalism you get here. The various packages for both a mani(ranging from $15-40) and pedi (ranging from $17-50) depend on your personal need. There is no limit on how radiant, alive and irresistible you can be. That's what I call pretty power. It also helps when you have knockout nails and toes! read more

What I loved most about this place is the diversity of women that worked here. Breaking typically nail salon stereotypes, it was really refreshing. All the women were very friendly! Her incredible attention to detail, warm & friendly personality, and unmatched skill level are out of this world. I really enjoy our conversations during my appointments and feel like the time in the chair flies by. She truly cares about each of her clients and treats everyone like a good friend. I also appreciate how enthusiastic and dedicated she is to tailoring her service to all my requests. I typically do standard gel mani & pedis, but whenever I have a vision in mind (like my Halloween alien costume with multidimensional chrome & silver studs, or ultra feminine pink for my baby shower), she is like my partner in crime to help me kill the look. She always has good recommendations & has a PhD in color matching for skin tones and seasons. I'm obsessed with how professional and perf my nails look after every appointment. Beyond all of this, I love how customer-friendly the salon is. The website makes it easy to schedule, and they now have a podium tablet up front for check-in and walk-in appointments. They have more colors for gel & SNS than any other salon I've seen in Scottsdale. Prices are on par with everywhere else and transparently on their website & scheduling tablet. Everyone in this salon is a nail wizard (Lauren's nail art is off the charts) and there is low turn over. I was a little confused on the 20 dollar acrylic fill option vs the 35 dollar fill option (gel on acrylic) I wish someone would have said it would be 15 dollars more for the colors the one lady handed me to pick from before my tech started, but live and learn! They did a great job on the nails and achieved a high quality look! I had an acrylic fill (gel polish) coffin shape and matte finish for 45 dollars total. There other acrylic fill option without gel polish and my matte finish ($5) or coffin shape ($5) would have been $20 which is also an awesome option if you like to change colors a lot! My gel pedicure was poorly done to the point that as soon I got home it was peeling, she did not even cut my nails at all. Manicure, I never seen a manicure done without even getting your nails soak in warm water to get your cuticles easy to remove. Hubby and I decided to have our nails done yesterday by contacting the Salon through Yelp via appointment. We were immediately contacted and got an appointment at 3:00 for both of us. Perfect! It was the first time he had ever had a manicure and my first time having a pedicure in Scottsdale (I'm from Cali and he and I have a long distance relationship that has been what dreams are made of...so far : ) First off, they're in the transition of new management and a name change...so we had a bit of a challenge looking for Nail-It when we saw Glossy Nails...but figured it must be the place with the address above it. We were greeted immediately and felt very welcomed for our first time there. They were waiting for us and whisked us away to start our mani-pedi's. He sat down with a very nice gal that tried to make him feel as comfortable as she could...yes, he was a bit nervous. But as things went along, he actually did better than I thought he would. I sat down at the pedi massage chair, and was pleasantly surprised to notice that the "pool" where you put your feet in, was wrapped in fresh cellophane (for sanitary reasons). I had never seen that before?! And for someone like me that's a bit OCD, that made me very happy that they consider doing that for all their customers!!! As I programmed the massage chair with the settings that could beat up a small horse, I was given a menu from which to choose what I would like. I can't remember which one I picked, but I made sure the choice wasn't hours long that poor hubby would have to wait for me to finish up. The young woman that was taking care of me was personable and made me feel relaxed and at ease. I had told her how I wanted the length and shape cut for my nails and it was done to perfection. The whole experience was very professional and efficient... So when hubby finished, he sat next to me in a pedi chair, duplicated my chair settings, and was knocked out asleep : ) Guess he was a bit too "comfortable" there... Now when I finished up a few minutes later, I took at look at her work, and were my toes beautiful! I honestly couldn't believe those were mine!!! Man! Didn't realize that they were miracle workers as well!!! So with us finished up, we were thanked and hoped that we would be back again...oh absolutely! I want to start by saying the staff were so friendly and sweet. That being said the actual nail services were AWFUL. Three of us were there and one pedicure was so bad she had to go home and redo it herself. Her tech was very obviously on her first day. That's not a biggie but the fact she didn't know basics such as asking how many coats of polish she should do, where cotton was, if she should use top coat, etc. it was just very unprofessional and the job was also so bad. The place was very dirty and the "massage chairs" of the three we had none of them worked. One has the nuts and bolts pressing into my friends back the entire time. We didn't have an option on a pedicure and we're given a basic pedicure which was so basic I could literally do that myself at home. We also had appointments and had to wait 30 minutes after the appointment time to start and we were there for over two hours for just basic services. This place very much needs a makeover and some techs that know what they are doing. read more
