On a positive note, jeneza offers good deals and discounts like 30 percent off pedicures. I get texts from them with the deals but you dont have to have the text to get the discount, you can still get it when you input your email address at the end of the service. Its also right across from my work so location is super convenient. Lastly, they offer SNS and have a good variety of colors to choose from. They can even do a fill on SNS! I've never been to a nail place that does that before. On the not-so-positive side, they dont always take walk ins, you need to make an appointment ahead of time. And the quality of the work I'm sorry to say is sub par. I've had nails here way too thick and last time was a really bad ane painful experience. The older gentleman who did my nails kept hurting me, he filed my real nails way down till there was almost nothing left, kept poking me, and put so much acrylic on that it would get really hot and burn! I've never experienced that before, and it took twice as long as it should have. I may return in the future but definitely go with one of the girls who does better work. read more

It really does pain me to have to write this because I used to be such a fan of this place, but my last two experiences at Jeniza have been absolutely terrible. Both nail techs were incredibly hurried, sloppy, and careless. In all the years I've had my nails done, I've never had such horrible experiences - let alone twice in a row and at my salon of choice. My acrylics are uneven, bumpy, and misshapen; but the nail tech was "too busy" (with who knows what, trying to get home?) that she couldn't fix them. The nail tech my mom had was just as bad. She was incredibly rough and cut my mom multiple times. It is safe to say we will never be going back. This place is expensive, so PLEASE save your money or go elsewhere. It is just not worth it. This was hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with getting my nails done. It's Halloween so this HAS to be a trick right?!!! I was in the nail salon for 2 and a half hours for an SNS manicure. I was cut twice, the colors were mismatched, my nails ended up looking very thick and mishaped, and they refused to clean up my nails any more than they did from the photos. New favorite pedi place! My love suprised me with pedi for both of us (his first ever) at this cute little nail shop! Every moment was relaxing and very enjoyable. The cuticle clean up and polish job was impeccable on my toes, and it has lasted well through more than a week. On top of that, the salon is quiet (not empty, just a relaxed atmosphere as there were several other clients in during our appointment), clean, and the nail techs were both wonderful! This makes me so sad to write this review. I have been a client of this salon for 3.5 years. In the last 5 weeks I have not been able to get an appointment. I wasn't calling for a same day appointment, a couple days out. When I wasn't able to get an appointment for Tuesday (today is Sunday) I asked to speak to the owner. He knew who I was and when I expressed my disappointment and frustration he became rude and abrupt. I asked how he expected to keep a business open when they couldn't take care of their loyal clients. His answer to me was "he has many other options beside me." I'm not an option, I'm a client that has spent a lot of money in the past few years. So if you don't want to be an option, take your money somewhere else where you will be respected. I was in Scottsdale for a week holiday and scheduled a pedicure to relax. Now most places in Chicago always freak out slightly when a man shows up at the salon - this one did not and I immediately felt comfortable. My technician Nina was fantastic - easy to talk with, lots of fun and she did wonderful job on my sorry feet. I asked for the higher end pedi and it was soooo worth it. The leg and foot massage was the best. Even better was the value of the service Nina provided combined with the amount of time I had in the chair! If you are in the area, I recommend asking for Nina. Horrible horrible horrible. I went in to get a fill and the guy who did my nails didn't file my old polish off all the way or file my fill line down. Now I have lines in my nails. The acrylic is all bumpy, I told the man up front and he didn't seem phased. DO NOT GO THERE! I am a single mom and I rarely get the time to get my nails done, I am so disappointed. read more

I called ahead to request a pedicure appointment on a Friday and was told to just come on by. I hoped I wouldn't come by just to wait and when I walked in nearly every pedicure chair was full (and they have a lot). To my delight a technician was available to assist me immediately. I chose the standard pedicure for $26. She did an excellent job and did not rush. The massage was great and my color done neatly. $26 is a little much, but it is Scottsdale. My only complaint would be the massage chairs because you can barely feel them. Overall, I'd recommend it! read more

So I have to yelp and comment on this nail salon I think that it's sad that it has to be a review while i feel neglected by them but people should know. I have been going to this salon for about 8 months and they have been good. The tech i had is a pro even while under some stress. Today, i gleamed at my husband saying i will go to my pedicure at 3pm. I looked at my phone and i saw 2 messages from them so i called at 2pm a whole hour prior to my appt that was set s month ago. They had to move me back an hour as my tech is out, i was amnoyed and said i dont want my pedicure time to be lessened because you moved me back, i was told sorry and they are booked and depends on mt selected pedi. I told the young man last time i got a pedi at 4pm i felt rushed and i dont want that to be the case today. I have determined eventually all nail salons begin to be complacent due to their paper appointments being overwhelming, archaic and unmanageable. It s too bad i have to find somewhere else. This is the fastest manicure I have ever had. I was done in 15 minutes. Barely filed my nails. They soaked in water for less than a minute. Massage was 2 minutes. Don't waste your money at this place. It did not appear clean chairs are all ripped. It's not worthy of any stars. read more

I went to the salon the other day and it was very clean and nice. I went in for a gel fill and a pedicure. I was escorted to a pedicure chair while I was waiting for someone to see me, I waited for what must have been 20-25 minutes because I watched almost a full episode of Property Brothers on their TV. I was then told they were going to do my nails first then the pedicure so I was asked to move to a nail station. The man who did my nails nicked my cuticle bad enough that two days later it's still wounded and sore. After the fill I was asked to move back to a pedicure chair and told my nails would be polished during the pedicure. OMG I was in the pedicure chair and the man had a plug in nail dryer to dry to gel and he hit it and it almost fell into the water which scared the crap out of me, not exactly relaxing and thank god the pedicure person caught it just above the tub. I didn't want to complain with several customers waiting as I felt that would be rude so I called the next day to express my dissatisfaction. The lady who said she was Jeniza apologized and I told her I really felt as though my service should have been discounted or that I should have some type of discount to use in the future and she said she'd call me back and I still haven't heard anything. I am truly disappointed as the atmosphere was nice and the people were pleasant. read more
