Diptyque on Fillmore is a high-end fragrance shop based in France, and it's definitely a treat for the senses. I stopped by while walking to Japantown and was immediately impressed by the store's elegant interior and beautifully arranged perfume displays. The packaging is stunning, with each perfume accompanied by a card that not only shows the name but also describes the scent profile (like floral or woody), which is helpful since the names alone aren't always intuitive. You can spritz the test perfumes onto the cards for a preview of the scent, which makes it easy to explore the various options. I noticed that the perfumes are grouped by packaging color: 1) White packaging perfumes are described as lighter and more subtle. 2) Black packaging perfumes are stronger, with a higher concentration. In terms of price, you're looking at $130 for a 50ml Eau de Toilette and $230 for 100ml, which reflects the luxury of the brand. My personal favorites were Eau Rose and Vetyvrio--both offered a sweet and fresh scent. The service was fantastic. The gentleman who assisted me was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the most popular fragrances. I also found out they offer free carrier deliveries within San Francisco if you order online! Yes, the perfumes are expensive, but the fragrances are truly exceptional and something you have to experience in person to appreciate fully. If you're into high-end scents or just want to treat yourself, Diptyque is definitely worth a visit!

Visited with my little fur ball a few weeks ago while browsing around on Fillmore. This store looks beautiful and smells so good. I used to occasionally buy their candles from Nordstrom, so this store is very convenient. For this visit, we brought the Gel Nettoyant sans Rincage pour les Mains (rinse-free Hand Wash gel) that smells really good and useful. Store is lovely to browse and buy. Located on Fillmore St between Sacramento St. and California St.

Diptyque Eau Nabati (EDT). The scent is like being in an oasis in the desert (has neroli). It's an Evening fragrance for sure! 5/16/23

This is a great store for French home décor and holiday gifts! I bought the Sapin candle with felt label designed by British artist Lucy Sparrow. The Sapin room spray also added to my stash. Gifting a holiday ornament to a young relative of mine - lucky girl! I have a perfume on my Christmas wish list. Diptyque Fillmore boutique requires another visit as more 2024 Holiday items are released...

The friend whose apartment I subletted in Manhattan had a Diptyque candle and perfume, so as soon as I got back to SF, I looked into Diptyque! I biked over to the Fillmore and parked my bike outside. The interior is beautiful--it reminded me of Paris! The man who helped me was so helpful, kind, thoughtful, welcoming, and warm--I cannot talk positively enough about him! He was generous with samples and his time as well. I will be back for their perfume (of which I am a fan.)

Postcards and notebooks, who knew.

I typically go to the Diptyque downtown but popped into this store since I was in the area and will definitely be back! The burning candles made the store smell like good and the interior was very cute.

I visited Diptyque Fillmore today and was really blown away by Patrick's service. Patrick was friendly and informative. He introduced my friend and I to a body cream with her scent of choice and sure enough, she ended buying it also! This is the 5th Diptyque boutique I've visited in the Bay Area (First in the Financial District in San Francisco, then Palo Alto, third Valley Fair in San Jose, 4th was at the Marin Country Mart). Every single store has its own "vibe" and this location touched my heart because of how cozy I felt inside. Again, Patrick's service made this visit memorable! Diptyque is a pretty penny and a personal investment. Patrick made this investment too easy and guilt free! I saw the Ilio marketing on IG and I just had to try it. Sure enough, it was love at first sniff. I can't wait to be back!

The best product for my home and for me. One is interior scent and the other is for shower time. Love it!

There are events in SF where everyone knows it involves some type of costume. An annual event which involves performative running of over seven miles and resembles a mix of a flash mob, rave, fraternity and sorority Greek gathering and those who like to show their fun spirit in San Francisco at the Bay to Breakers run. Some years Karl the Fog accompanies the runners on a Sunday morning and some years the sun shines bright through the entire path. There is a place where you can gear up and show your San Francisco free spirit. Located on Clement street it's called Foggy Notion. On a San Francisco Karl The Fog stroll I landed inside Foggy Notion. Inside you will find candles and natural skincare products along with gifts with some San Francisco representation. The products are made by local artisans . Get a towel of Sutro Tower and salty waters of the Pacific Ocean on the both sides of the Bay Bridge. After the Bay to Breakers run come and get some soap. They also have San Francisco scented candles which doesn't stink like parts of Fisherman's Wharf in SF. Come here if you want feel refreshed after over a seven mile cheesy run through San Francisco at the Bay to Breakers. There is place which has a "devotion" to the city of San Francisco with products giving the city some publicity and some"promotion "with sites and symbols of the San Francisco city landscape along with the "Pacific Ocean " you can find candles , hats, greeting cards and bags at "Foggy Notion" When it comes to Bay to Breakers it is not a breakdancing "event" just don't break a bone on your body running over 7 miles of San Francisco "cement"make sure wear good shoes so injuries you can "prevent" and make sure to gear up at Foggy Notion in SF on "Clement"

Plus, charming young men will guide you in discovering new treasures. Which is why I attended the special event focusing on Editions de Parfum Frédéric Malle perfumes. A new perfume was introduced - Contre Jour (which means Light Against Shadow). This perfume has radiance and depth. Check it out. The owner also unveiled the news that Frédéric Malle was now an established brand at the boutique; it has its own wall cabinet to showcase the perfumes! Event attendees enjoyed champagne & macaron treats. It was a party for perfume lovers! I found a new perfume to enjoy while perusing the selection. Plus: everyone on their invite list got a parting gift: a bag with EdP Frédéric Malle perfume samples and a notebook.

The layout made it easy for anyone to just come in and try a sample of different scents. My biggest pro is that they offer minimal customer service; they help whenever you need help and don't bother you which makes me shop in peace. Staff were extremely friendly to top it off, I would 100% stop by here when I make the drive to SF again.

This shop was quite an unexpected find and it really reminded me of some gift shops in Los Angeles that rent shelf space to independent artists and creators to showcase their work.
