I visited The Face Shop at the Japan Center Malls on Sunday, 1/7/24, around 7 PM. I dropped by to pick up several feet peeling jelly masks as well as soothing face masks. The price point of those products was fairly affordable. The store offered a variety of other skincare items to accommodate one's needs. The staff member that assisted me was helpful and kind. She was very knowledgeable as she answered a lot of my questions. I recommend coming to The Face Shop.

I purchased $80.00 worth of makeup, and I was super excited about everything, however once I left (I do not live in the area) I discovered that almost everything I purchased was EXPIRED!!! There are no dates on the boxes of what I purchased. BE AWARE THAT EVERYTHING IS OLD!!! None of the eyeliner I purchased is smooth, no matter what I have done, none of the makeup has transferred onto my hand or eye. It just scratches. BE AWARE!!!

A wide assortment of face masks!

Love this store! The associates are always so helpful...sometimes too helpful in the sense that I often like to shop on my own and read each product before I start asking questions if needed and they are just right next to you if there are no or few customers in the store. But I still appreciate that they are readily available to answer questions as beauty products can be a bit complex. Some of the product information are in Korean, so it helps when they can explain what the products do. I always walk out with something from here and today I got a sunscreen and several face wash products. I still have lots of makeup products that I am still using that I bought from my last trip here. They always have great products and it is good to learn about them and about skin care. I think my last trip, Melanie, helped me with lots of product choices and hopefully she is still around on my next trip here.

Had a great experience today with Kristina who helped suggest products for our skin for me and my teenage daughter. It was great to test out some items on the back of our hands to get a sense of smell and texture before we bought. Extra bonus samples too. Will be back the next time we visit Japantown.

3.5 Stars! Great for hydrating face masks! BUY 5 get 1 Free! The Face Shop is a popular beauty chain that started out in Korea carrying pretty good face products. Don't expect them to work wonders. They're definitely no 'La Mer'. I recommend their hydrating masks and BB creams since they work great on sensitive skin. After moving to Cali, my skin became really dry and tried drinking more water but it didn't help. Came in here to grab a few hydrating masks. They were having a special so thought I pick up a few. They recommended me to get this exfoliating creme so I got suckered into buying that too. So far works great! Service: 3 stars - It doesn't seem like sales staff really knew much about the products. Probably should do your own research before coming in. Products: 4 stars - For their hydrating masks Price: Inexpensive

Went here after reading Yelp reviews and definitely agree with most of the other Yelpers. The Face Shop provides an array of facial, body, and cosmetic products from Asia. Some of which are hard to find and exclusive to the Face Shop brand. I can also boast that the shop does offer organic solutions and products that are great for customers with sensitive skin. Although, you can try to research and hunt down some of the products online, one upside of actually stepping into the physical store allows customers to try most of the products, just like Sephora. The staff were very knowledgeable and approachable. Some of my favorites at the Face Shop include the face mask, the body lotions/scrubs, and BB creams. The Face Shop is a nice outlet for cosmetics and skin care, especially with a focus for Asian skin like myself. (***Bonus points: They give out free samples!Just ask***)

I accidentally stumbled upon The Face Shop after having a bento box overload at Daiso & Ichiban Kan across the plaza. I'm so glad I did! The Face Shop has every cute and practical cosmetic item you could ever need. The sales girls are amazing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They recommended products perfect for my skin type & fair complexion. I wish I'd gotten their names because they were so helpful. I got to try every product that caught my eye, bought way more than I should have, got a lovely (and multi-product) free gift, and was given loads of free samples. If you're looking for face masks, make-up, skincare, or brushes, skip Ulta and Sephora & head here. Great quality, an extensive line of all products, and perfect customer service.

You'll find currently trendy products like snail secretion skin care, hair curlers, bb cream, cc cream, etc. Most of the beauty products (skin care, cosmetics) are from Korea, from brands like Etude House, Toly Moly, and Skinfood. They can also pre-order items from those lines. The Milk Talk body lotion smells like milkshakes. Expect to find really cute packaging but not a lot of English on the packaging. There are testers of most of the beauty products. The shop is tiny but crammed full of clothes, lingerie, stockings, shoes, scarves, purses, jewelry, iPhone accessories and makeup. Not everything has a price but the things that had prices were very reasonably priced. The clothes and accessories are in the $20-$30 range. Some of it was cute - especially if you are a girly girl who likes bows, ribbons, ruffles, lace and faux fur (e.g., faux fur bras). However the material is predominantly synthetic. I couldn't figure out the sizes of some items. The shoes all look small, size 6 small. The skirts are super short. They have iPhone bumpers with Hello Kitty bows, iPhone cases that look like Dior nailpolish bottles I received a free sample and very courteous service. My picks: * Baby Milo iPhone screen protectors for iPhone 5 ($10) * Hello Kitty bow style iPhone bumpers for iPhone 4 * Etude House strawberry lip cream ($6, smells wonderful) * Pocket bunny moist mist - love the bunny packaging

She shaped my brows beautifully, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and efficient the appointment was without ever feeling rushed. She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with the shape and symmetry. It was painless and relaxing. I loved the results. After my brows were finished, she took the time to look at my skin and asked about my current skincare routine. She made a few recommendations based on my skin, but there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything or book additional services. Overall, Vivian was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I left very happy with my brows, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try one of her microdermabrasion facials. What stood out unfortunately was the lack of professionalism from someone I believe to have been the store manager. Despite wearing a name tag there was no greeting acknowledgment or basic courtesy. This was disappointing especially as it reflects a pattern I've noticed at multiple Sephora locations throughout the Bay Area. Interestingly this level of unfriendliness has not been my experience at Sephora stores elsewhere. Sephora's products are premium priced particularly in today's economy. When customers are choosing to spend their money here the expectation of basic warmth and respect is not unreasonable. It is difficult to justify supporting a business when paying feels like an inconvenience rather than a valued exchange. Customer experience matters and this visit fell short.
