In addition, the vehicle was vandalized (i.e. the back seats were pulled out and left in an unnatural position, there was trash strewn about, and the title was stolen). My sister was not informed of the incident and discovered the issue herself only when she came to check on the status of the repairs on the vehicle in person on May 20th. Issam stated that he would not put the seats back where they should be. In Michigan, MCL 256.541, often called the Garage Keeper's Liability Act states, "Whenever any damage shall be done to any motor vehicle while in the possession or under the care, custody or control of the owner, his agent or servant, or the keeper of any public garage or other establishment where such vehicle shall have been accepted for hire or gain, proof of such damage shall be prima facie evidence that such damage was the result of the negligent act of such owner or keeper of the place where such vehicle was stored." My sister filed a police report. My sister has also noticed that repair work has been completed on serveral vehicles that came in after hers, even one owned by a family friend multiple times. She has requested a refund to be able to take the needed repair work to a shop that will complete the repairs in a timely manner; however, Abe1 Auto Repair would not agree to this. Her vehicle is essentially being held hostage. The next step is to reach out to the Better Business Bureau and regulatory bodies to seek resolution.

However, when I followed up to ask if they accept sunroof jobs when billed through insurance, the employee completely lost his temper and began yelling at me, saying, 'If insurance is paying, yes we do it.'I calmly told him there was no need to yell, as I was only trying to understand their policy after he gave conflicting statements. My insurance sent me here after I had been rear ended, all seemed good at first, they got my car in…read morequick. I had asked them to do an alignment on it because it wasn't steering properly and it's a brand new car with under 5k miles so I obviously wanted it straightened out. They said they would look at it and get it fixed up. I dropped it off on a Monday morning and on Friday they were calling me telling me the car was still missing a piece but they wanted me to pick it up anyway (yeah I'm not picking up an incomplete car just to fit their time quotas). They suddenly had the back ordered part it was missing a few minutes later and were able to complete it so I went and picked it up that Friday. The alignment was still off from first driving it away but I decided to have my dealership fix it when i went in for an oil change a few weeks later figuring they'd do a better job anyway. At the dealer I was told that my car still had a bent axel arm from the accident, something that them running an alignment immediately told them. So my question is did Minsers completely miss the $1700 of damage this was or did they find it and decide it wasn't important enough to fix (I'm not sure which is worse). I then called my insurance company and they told me I had to take my car back to Minsers despite my objections. I took the car back the day after the dealer found the damage and was told they would get it fixed up. After I had dropped it off I got a call from them informing me there were allegedly scratches on my wheel insinuating I had further damaged the vehicle not related to the accident. I'm not sure what was going on with that or what they were trying to pull but I obviously had not damaged my vehicle and the call ended with that. I got my car back today and it appears to be fixed and driving like new again which I appreciate (and expect). I looked at all of my wheels and there are no scratches to be found which is interesting to me as there we're supposed "fresh" scratches on a wheel. All in all yes my car is now fixed after bringing it to them twice. They seemed to use genuine GM parts which is also a positive. Although I felt as if they were trying to take advantage of me and possibly scam me due to me being a young woman and not knowledgeable about cars. A place you can trust!!!…read more I unfortunately wrecked my car pretty bad a few years ago and took it here for repair. It was in bad shape and they did a wonderful job of putting it back together. Someone keyed my car and another person sideswiped it and left some marks on each side of the car. I took it in for a face lift today and it looks brand new again. Okay ladies and gent's....1 word.....RIP OFF!!!!! I took my…read morelady luck car here to fix 2 problems.. My crackeling speaker and flasher. They call me after running a diagnostic and said that my upper intake gasket needs to be replaced and that it will cost me an extra $550 on top of the estimated $400 for the speaker and flasher. I asked why it needs to be replaced. All they came up with, is that my car has 134,000 miles on it, and things eventually wear out. I was pretty skeptikal about that, cause they were being a bit pushy to get it done. I needed a better explanation. So, I called Tuffy auto (that's my next review) and they extimated the cost of the repairs...MUCH MUCH lower. So, I called back and didn't have them do any work on my car. Long story short, after having Tuffy look at the upper and lower gasket, they said it wasn't leaking. There's nothing wrong with it, why replace it? They also mentnioned the crooks at the dealership work on comission, so they need to 'create work' in order for the customer to spend money there. That Tuffy trip saved me over $700! Never going to Frsard again!
