My insurance sent me here after I had been rear ended, all seemed good at first, they got my car in quick. I had asked them to do an alignment on it because it wasn't steering properly and it's a brand new car with under 5k miles so I obviously wanted it straightened out. They said they would look at it and get it fixed up. I dropped it off on a Monday morning and on Friday they were calling me telling me the car was still missing a piece but they wanted me to pick it up anyway (yeah I'm not picking up an incomplete car just to fit their time quotas). They suddenly had the back ordered part it was missing a few minutes later and were able to complete it so I went and picked it up that Friday. The alignment was still off from first driving it away but I decided to have my dealership fix it when i went in for an oil change a few weeks later figuring they'd do a better job anyway. At the dealer I was told that my car still had a bent axel arm from the accident, something that them running an alignment immediately told them. So my question is did Minsers completely miss the $1700 of damage this was or did they find it and decide it wasn't important enough to fix (I'm not sure which is worse). I then called my insurance company and they told me I had to take my car back to Minsers despite my objections. I took the car back the day after the dealer found the damage and was told they would get it fixed up. After I had dropped it off I got a call from them informing me there were allegedly scratches on my wheel insinuating I had further damaged the vehicle not related to the accident. I'm not sure what was going on with that or what they were trying to pull but I obviously had not damaged my vehicle and the call ended with that. I got my car back today and it appears to be fixed and driving like new again which I appreciate (and expect). I looked at all of my wheels and there are no scratches to be found which is interesting to me as there we're supposed "fresh" scratches on a wheel. All in all yes my car is now fixed after bringing it to them twice. They seemed to use genuine GM parts which is also a positive. Although I felt as if they were trying to take advantage of me and possibly scam me due to me being a young woman and not knowledgeable about cars. A place you can trust!!! I unfortunately wrecked my car pretty bad a few years ago and took it here for repair. It was in bad shape and they did a wonderful job of putting it back together. Someone keyed my car and another person sideswiped it and left some marks on each side of the car. I took it in for a face lift today and it looks brand new again. The owner is very nice and even had my car cleaned up for me when I came to pick it up. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Just had a repair done at Minser's in Ferndale, and they did a great job. I was particularly impressed by the way they made sure every inch of the repair area was perfect. They had 2 people check it over in the light to make sure it was perfectly smooth and then had me look it over. They also did a great job at cleaning out the inside of the car. You can tell they've been doing this a long time. The communication was great and they were right on with how much time it would take. All in all I was very happy and find them to be very trustworthy. read more

Even though people check the reviews before using their service, they may not want to come back to post one as it's not a pleasant experience when your car is wrecked. That's the only thing I can think of as to why this place doesn't have more posted. To help others make the best decision, I felt it was important to come back and post this. My vehicle was in a car accident 3/16/2019 and my insurance company recommended this shop. I was receiving text messages that my car would be ready on 4/15, but when I went to the shop, my car was still disassembled. I was furious when the owner Mike informed that they had a bigger job to do but it should be ready the following week. I got a call to pick my car up and I had the incorrect grill, split airbag, locks or lights didn't work, scrapes on "replaced" parts, horrible drive and it was smoking. I didn't want to bring my car back here and took it somewhere else and they verified that I had missing parts on my car, horrible craftmanship and it is going to take additional thousands of dollars to fix what Minser's didn't do. Not only did they do an INFERIOR rush the job after having my car for over 30 days, they are sarcastic and are liars!!! DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! RUN FAST AND FAR!!! read more

When I went to go get the things out of my vehicle the receptionist was the rudest person I have ever met and one of the managers was a jerk. I would never bring my vehicle here! read more

I've brought every car I've owned here (and I've had at least 5). They take care of you! They fixed my car completely that was totaled! They bought my dads old classic Cadillac and updated it! This past year a cop ran into the side of my car and it looks like brand new! Plus, they always return your car detailed and completely clean! I highly recommend! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! If you're looking for quality work or a fair price do NOT take your car here!!! I cannot stress this enough! Someone tried to break into my car by punching my lock into the door, they damaged the car but didn't get in. My insurance was gonna cover that. So while it was gonna be in the shop anyway, I asked them to fix some minor scratches on the bumper and to take a look at the engine too because while it seemed to run okay, it was very noisy and blowing too much smoke. I FINALLY got it back nearly a month later! When I asked them what was wrong with the engine, they told me the engine would need to be replaced! They apparently didn't think to mention this to me 4 weeks earlier! Also, the car was only worth as much as a new engine would've cost me so had they been honest and called me there's no way I would've sunk any more money into it to repair some scratches or a door lock. And I would've been able to keep the money my insurance company sent me, not to mention all the money I spent on rental cars while I was waiting for them to give me my car back! But rather than being upfront and honest with me, they repaired my bumper and replaced my door lock and billed me $2,689.06 for a car that needed a new engine! Now... as for the quality of their work: The keys I had given them DID NOT OPEN THE LOCK THEY PUT IN! (And just to be clear, NO key would open the new lock. It's not like I now had 2 different keys for the drivers & passengers side doors). If I wanted to open the passenger's side door, I had to do it from INSIDE the car. Anyway, I hope my HORRIBLE, EXPENSIVE waste of a month dealing with GREEDY people with NO COMMON SENSE isn't in vain and that you take your car elsewhere to be repaired. Good luck! read more

These people are very professional, extremely honest, and they do a great job. Just picked my car up today after having them repair what happened in a frightening accident, and if I hadn't been in it, I'd never believe how bad it was before. I think it says a lot, too, that AAA doesn't even send an inspector out if Minser's is doing the repair; they just trust the managers to give an honest estimate. As long as I live in the area, I don't see a reason to look for another body shop if something happens. read more

Started off as a great experience, ended badly. Took my truck in for a bumper replacement, when they attached the new bumper...they caused a chip in the paint where the seam is. It has continued to chip off and is getting larger. Initially I talked to a not-so-friendly guy named Rob, he was pretty annoyed from the start. When I asked about fixing the chip, he said they could touch it up. I expressed concern about a simple touch up because the discoloration would show. They also didn't tighten the bumper completely so it was slightly hanging on the driver side underneath. Also the bumper liner they ordered (which was the cheaper generic liner that Allstate insurance approved) didn't fit properly and looked horrible. The proper liner was only $40 more and after speaking with Allstate, they advised minsers to simply send back the quote for the right liner and Allstate would pay the difference. Before I took the truck back for the new liner, paint touch up & bumper tightening....a lady backed into the back bumper of my truck. So minsers ordered a rear bumper and when I took the truck in for all the work to be done at once, they touched up the paint and sure enough...it was an obvious eye sore. They also offered to buff out some spots on the hood where tree sap was stuck. They got the sap off but left visible marks that they failed to buff out. Later they agreed to buff out the marks on the hood but refuse to fix the paint chip. The owner Mike is very nice but there seems to be a lack of QC before the vehicles leave the shop and the attention to detail is not great. read more
