I went to a stone quarry company and explained what needed to be done in the obstacle course that was my backyard, and they recommended David from True North Masonry to me. "You'll really like him." You'll really like him, was in all fairness an understatement.The way David worked with us, communicated with us, as well as researched and tracked down stone, brick, granite with various sources for/with us was as if he was doing this for himself or his own family. He could have just done what we asked plain and simple. However, he suggested/ added some extras that finished the project off with cleaner lines, utility, and aesthetically. We don't just like him, we really, really like and appreciate him! When we had a question or wanted to change something, it was easy to communicate with him, and never a problem. David really listens to what you are asking him. The way he worked was very methodical and works cleanly. Anytime observing him work, it was clear that his skill level impressive. Did I mention he cleans up everything? :) In addition I just wanted to mention that we especially were impressed the way David employed many so many more skills along with his masonry work . We are really happy with how our multi- faceted project turned out. He worked straight through the November cold, is totally reliable and a gentleman. You get a fair and honest good value from David. I recently hired complete paving and masonry for a 3rd job on my property…read more In 2022 they replaced my asphalt driveway and edging, they removed all the landscape timbers and replaced with stone and new asphalt. then in 2025 the front walkway they removed all bricks and landscape timbers and replaced with a paver walkway and matching stone edging. Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. Had my entire front and back yards landscaped. Paid a small fortune for this project (close to $18K) . He returned $1500 for some of the plants, but now I have to buy the plants, dig up all the dead ones (and now more are dying), replant deeper and fill in with new dirt and mulch. Had I known this, I would have been better off to just do the project myself slowly, instead of the work he and his crew did in 2 days.
