This was my first time using Direct Paint and Collision, and I had a really good experience. From the moment I walked in, everyone was professional, warm, and easy to talk to. The whole crew made the process feel smooth and well organized, which really took a lot of stress off me. I want to give a special shout-out to Ian, the Customer Service Manager. The extreme cold weather slowed down the paint process, but he and the team did everything they could to stay on schedule and get my car back to me as promised. I truly appreciate that effort. They also noticed an issue with my tire and brought it to my attention, making sure I understood the safety concern. They even helped me find a discounted replacement tire to bring the cost down. That meant a lot to me. It felt like they were looking out for me, not just trying to make extra bucks. Communication was great as well. I received regular updates, so I always knew what was going on. While they're busy, they have a shop cat to keep you company while you're waiting. DON'T GO HERE. Took my car here for repairs after an accident. They told me something in my car had previously been repaired improperly so it was making a rattling noise after this 'repair' at Direct Paint & Collision. I made an appointment to have to the car checked out but I was just called and told not to bother coming in and they don't care about any noise because my vehicle had allegedly been repaired at some point, improperly. DON'T GO HERE. They sold me new tires that were unrelated to the accident though. Annoying. read more

Good folks and I have used them several times. They come with Geico insurance and are close to my home. The last time I went there they were very booked so I had to wait a week and pay for mucho car rental fees. Also they offered to fix two small dents for an extra $1000.00 which was actually a really bad offer. As I whole 2 out of 3 times were excellant but that latter a bit of a drag. read more

I was directed to go to Direct Paint and Collision after an accident last month by my insurance. My front bumper was taken clean off. This shop kept me up to date and informed about all the fixes. They where friendly and helpful. I love that I was able to get picked up by Enterprise at the shop, and I was able to leave the car there for them to pick up. One of my favorite little aspects of this shop where residents Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie kept me company while I was waiting for my pick up. They left me with a really good feeling about this shop that was ultimately well deserved. read more

This is the best auto mechanic I have ever worked with and I am so grateful for the service that they have provided for multiple repair jobs over the years. If you are looking for a mechanic who does a high quality job, while keeping costs down, and gets your car back to you quickly, look no further. Earlier this summer, I brought in my car after its exhaust system failed. Ian and the team went way above and beyond in helping me get back on the road. They advocated for me both with the part manufacturer (of the part that failed) and with the insurance. They do a great job of keeping costs low and the communication from Ian was great every step of the way. I was also really appreciative of them fixing an AC issue this summer for a great price. Unfortunately, I have to say that in over 22 years I have never had an experience like this with a business that does car repair. Direct Paint & Collision Inc kept my car for a total of 68 days (over 2 months!) to repair some front end damage from a car accident. I gave Direct Paint & Collision Inc my car on October 13, 2023 and it took them until December 20, 2023 to fix it. Direct Paint & Collision blamed the delay on an "auto parts strike". However, the delay in finishing my repairs persisted weeks beyond the end of the supposed auto parts strike. During the months of November 2023 and December 2023 I would call at various times for updates on the status of my car repair. When I would call sometimes I would be told that the car be ready soon, but they were just waiting on a part to come in. However, on more than one occasion I was told that they're waiting on a part or two and that the car may be ready to pick up the next day; the car was never ready the next day on these occasions and nobody called me to follow up either. So, after a few failures to deliver on claims that my car may be ready the next day or ready within a few days, I called for another update on December 12th 2023 (60 days after dropping my car off and 8 days before the car would finally be ready) and this time I was told a harness needed to be fixed and they also needed to figure out why my check engine light mysteriously triggered, but should be ready within a day. Eight days later, I finally receive a call from Direct Paint & Collision at 2:00 PM on December 20 2023 telling me that my car is ready for pickup. To add further insult, when I arrived to pick up the car, one of the employees at the front desk has the nerve to joke that my car has been there "longer than some of their employees". It's really not funny. Again, I've had cars serviced over the past 22 years and this is by far been the worst experience that I've had. In a situation like this, you are truly at the mercy of the business that's handling your car repair and you really do feel like a helpless consumer. The work appears to have been done well, but that's very little consolation considering the delay, failed claims of delivery and the attitudes of the staff about the delay. read more

I was hit by a guy running a red light a year ago. This was my first and only accident. Direct collision was called by the police, they have a contract with the township to handle accident towing. But, they are also a body shop. Seems unfair, like a conflict of interest. They are not the only body shop in h-town. My dad told me to have it towed to a different local body shop, one he's used before. So, when he arrives, I ask the older tow truck guy to take me there. He seemed like a nice grampa type. He must have had instructions to only take it back to their shop. Because as I'm in the truck with him, still shaken from just being in an accident, he keeps saying, let's just stop here first, talk to the owner, he'll give you a better deal. I told him a few times: no, let's just go straight to the other place. But he wouldn't let up. So, we went there, then I had to talk with the owner, had to tell him over and over: No, I just want to take it where my dad told me to take it. It was so ridiculous!!!! I felt so taken advantage of, i was at their mercy, vulnerable, had no control over the situation. And, I was all traumatized from just being hit! If I had been hit a few inches off, my car would've been totaled. These guys are totally shady and have bad business practices. When I went to drop off my car to get the doors replaced, I told them my break light was out and asked if they could change it while they were fixing my car. When I went back to pick up my car after being fixed, they washed the car and changed my break light free of charge. Very kind and professional people. She has used another auto repair shop for years, but when I spoke with Tom at Direct Paint and Collision, I was so impressed with him that we decided to let him fix the car because Direct Paint and Collision also warranties its repairs for the life of the vehicle. Tom promised me that he would fight the insurance company on our behalf to make sure we got all new parts as opposed to replacement and less safe parts. The vehicle also had an unusual paint color, but Tom was able to match it. He really went above and beyond and delivered on his promises. Let's take it this way...Pretty much every bodyshop can get the job done....Restore your car to the original look does not deserve a super good review. This is how they make their life..So I had a bent rocker panel for them to fix. Price is OK but when I went there to pick up my car, guess what happened? I found a huge scratch on my bumper and some more damage on the rims and even another scratch on the newly painted rocker panel...How could they do this? Finish the repair and then do more damage? If I did not inspect and drive away but come back with that scratch, they could have told me that it is caused by myself..... But glad I found the spot right there and they agree to fix that for free...but I need to take my car in next week... So, maybe try other body shops around when you are shopping for service next time. I would never go back to this place! read more

Went to this place out of reference from my insurance company to get an estimate for my damage. My initial intent was to go get the work done however at another body shop, however being a young lad I expected to be mistreated, but this was not the case, the staff at Direct Pain and Collision were nothing but courteous and had my car done when they said it would he done. After looking at several places to my dissatisfaction I received a random email from my dealer, and in that email it listed shops that were certified by the manufacturer (Nissan). Yes ,that's what I wanted, real legit parts for my baby. So I called them and they told me to come in so they could take a look. I went in on a Wednesday and Cheryl told me to come in that following Monday. My baby was sick and she needed help so Monday morning I was there and left my baby, hopefully in good hands. Well I just got my baby back yesterday 8/16 and she is looking phenomenal!! Sweet and shiny again on the outside and clean as a whistle on the inside!! i wanted to paint a brand new front bumper cover for a small car. These guys wanted me to drive to their facility to check the damage, i explained to them more 5 times, The bumper is brand new, there is no damage, here is the vin number and color code for the paint. Then they quoted me 750 dollars just to paint the front bumper. They were very rude on the phone the whole time. i asked them "what is the point of me driving 20 miles to you when i can give all the info you need over the phone" including the paint code. I ended up paying 150 dollars to paint the bumper at another shop. Direct Paint and Collision is very expensive and rude. read more

So I was driving back from New Jersey on 464 SB crossing into Deleware. It was about 12am and I still had about 5 hours to go before I reach Virginia. Out of nowhere Bambi jumps over the divider. Before I could even react, my front end was already totaled and there was a dead dear with a decapitated head in the middle of the road. The cops came, took a report, and called a towing company. The towing company towed my car back to Direct Paint and Collision. Realizing that I only had liability, I knew I would have to fork over a pretty penny. I spoke to Mike. He gave me an honest estimate but I just didn't have the money. Instead of just kicking me to the curb, he let me use his computer so that I can find a company to ship my car back. He even let me keep my car in the tow yard for a couple days since I had to go back to Virginia the next day. I took the time to write this review because I complimented these people in person and they asked me to post it. I don't mind...they were worth it. I hit a PennDot-created pothole, make that ditch, on City avenue at 10pm. It blew two tires, two wheels, shocks struts, etc. I limped into a parking lot along with 3 other cars that hit the ditch before the police blocked it. I was the first one towed from the lot by Direct's service, they called me the next day, they insisted on quality parts to be paid for by the insurance company, and got the car back quickly.....and kept me updated along the way. Tom at Direct Paint and Collision was so extremely helpful. It was my first real accident (sorry deer of 2007, you mattered too) with my SUV being towed and I had no idea what to do. Tom helped me through the process and his guys were able to retrieve my SUV from Media quite quickly. The process continued quite seamlessly from there. They gave me a rental and off I went.
