City Creatures is the sister facility to All Creatures on Transit Road. A friend of mine had…read morerecommended we go to All Creatures, and when we were there my Mother had commented that she wished AC was closer. The staff told her that they had a city branch (City Creatures) on Delaware Avenue, and that the vets treated at both locations. CC is incredibly close to her house, and she loves the fact that she doesn't have to drive on Transit. I made our appointment online, and selected the sick option when it asked why I was making the appointment. I received a phone call about 5 minutes after making the appointment, from one of the techs. She said they were just about to close, and when my appointment popped up in the system, she noticed I'd written that my dog was a little lethargic. She said she wanted to make sure that she was okay, or if we needed to come in earlier? This in itself was amazing to me, because our old vet never did anything like this. I was recently there with our Saint Bernard, Sweet Pea, and while it's smaller than AC, it's very clean, isn't smelly, the staff are very polite and the vet we met with is incredibly nice. The scale is right in the waiting room, which is a plus and a negative. My dog happens to be slightly dog aggressive, so when a puppy was brought into the waiting room to be weighed, she became a little upset. But it wasn't anything bad, because there are two waiting areas, so once the dog went over to the other side, my dog was fine. The room we went into was a little small, but then again, everything feels small when you have a 120 lb dog. We had questions about a procedure she needs done, and the vet answered all of our questions. They gave us a price estimate and reviewed it with us. We are very happy with them.

The doctors are genuinely excellent -- no complaints there. But when my cat was actively dying and I desperately needed an appointment, they had nothing and sent me to urgent care or emergency care. The urgent care vet was limited in what he could do without my cat's full medical history and test results. Only Brighton-Eggert had it. Comprehensive blood work for the last few years, every 4-6 months. And also the result of the echocardiogram. When your fur baby is dying, you need compassion -- and that's exactly what was missing. A truly compassionate practice shows up for you in the worst moments. This wasn't that. The problems don't stop there. They've also stopped sending prescriptions to third-party pharmacies, a move that forces you to use their in-house pharmacy. They're not in the business of putting your pet first; they're in the business of protecting their revenue streams. Other reviews tell the same story: great vets, but a lack of compassion when you truly need them. If your pet is healthy, they're fine. But if you're facing a crisis, you may find that the compassion and continuity of care you're paying premium prices for simply isn't there. Premium pricing should come with premium support, at least compassionate support, when it matters most. It didn't for us. The doctors are genuinely excellent. But management has lost its way. Read the owner's responses to negative reviews and judge for yourself. We gave them our loyalty and our money without hesitation. What we needed in return was compassion. We didn't get it.

They answer any and all questions you have on your pets. The prices are the most reasonable I've ever seen! My dog had kennel cough vaccine, lepto vaccine, annual check up and a test for Lyme disease and heart worm for only $162!! Amazing prices and reasonable prices! I do know they take dogs and cats. If you have any other pets, I am sure they would see them but it's worth giving them a call! As of 7/27/20 they are accepting new patients so if you're looking for a vet, I highly recommend.

So the next day I went to a specialist in depew they told me that he only had a bacterial infection and that his eyes were going to be perfectly fine. So tell me this after all said and done and when I call Kenton animal clinic that they tell me that there's nothing they can do that the doctor was in the right to tell me that they were going to take his eyes? Do you think that that was the right thing to do to leave a woman crying profusely out of an animal clinic telling her that her dog will be blind the rest of its life or do you think it would have been more appropriate to say that could be the outcome but go see the specialist first? I am very disappointed I will never go back to that clinic as long as I live. If your dog goes there I would find a new clinic because you might be in the same boat as I am in the future. Why is it that no one cares anymore about people or their pets!

The doctor never introduced herself when she entered the room. Then, when I explained to her that trazodone was a sedative, and I give it to my dogs to calm them down occasionally (like twice a year), she became very defensive. I was very concerned about the Doctor getting so defensive over me answering her questions thoroughly and knowledgeably for her. She even openly expressed insecurity about her medical knowledge. She made me genuinely concerned that she didn't understand the simple common uses of trazodone, this was a giant red flag for me. It was very apparent to me that she hadn't even taken the time to read, let alone understand either of my dogs' medical histories. At that point in time, I introduced myself and asked her to do the same. After the visit, Wendy called me to have a very passive-aggressive conversation. It took her 10 minutes to admit that the reason she was calling is because they don't want us as patients. I offered feedback on how the doctor could be more professional to avoid simple confrontations, and Wendy flat-out told me that they weren't interested in how to better serve their clients. This place has forgotten what basic customer service means. They're not professionals. Professionals earn the respect they want. Professionals respect customers enough to atleast introduce themselves upon meeting them, if nothing else.

We were early so we sat on the waiting room for a bit but they immediately checked us in, and checked on us periodically assuring they'd be with us soon. Once they brought us in, they had a calming sound machine on which I thought was a really thoughtful touch. The nurse and doctor were both very informative and friendly. My dog can be difficult with strangers. At the beginning she would let any of them near her, and would bark. They were so patient and wanted to try a few different techniques in approaching her. The last try was me bringing her back into the exam area and walk away leaving her alone with them. I was so nervous she wasn't going to behave and we'd have to leave. Less than one minute after I left, I heard someone say "what a good girl". Phew. She did great with them, absolutely fantastic. What a relief. To have an anxious dog that acts out and barks when nervous, it was such a relief how they managed her and she reacted so positively. They are incredibly affordable. The clinic is very clean. Everyone is so attentive and polite. And now I feel confident again, not only is she in good hands, but she's also okay & is building trust with them. Which is most important
