Thankfully the guy working here was really nice! This store is huge, way bigger than I expected it to be, but I love that! It reminded me of what the store used to be. There are tons of incense, statuettes, tarot cards, candles, and essential oils. They also got an abundance of herbs and books. Psychic readings are also offered, although they didn't have a list of who is reading and what days they're in. I felt kinda bad because there wasn't anyone in the store when I got here...I remember the North Park store would always have at least 5-7 customers regularly. Also parking is scant in this area. I had to park 3 blocks away just to go here, which isn't bad but not great. Definitely a fun place to visit!

I'm guessing that's just the price you pay for Hillcrest rent. I love walking there vs ordering from some soulless online shop so it's fine with me. Other things are priced more fairly, so maybe it all evens out. They also have sales from time to time. I visited on St Patrick's day, and there was a discount on all green crystals, which was super cute. Unfortunately, the bracelet I got that day broke within 3 months of wearing it. It's my go-to shop for incense, oracle cards, and similar gifts, especially around the holidays. They do a great job carrying a little something for everyone and the staff is always really helpful if you're not exactly sure what you're looking for.

When I noticed the wall of loose leaf teas behind her, she quickly let me know that if I wanted a smaller batch, they have pre-packaged teas too. The tea that I chose was the 'Cramp Comfort' tea, which contains hibiscus, lady's mantle, licorice, lavender, red, raspberry leaf, fennel, cramp bark, and raspberry flavor. It's been really helpful for my period cramps too. :) You can also find crystals, incense, candles, perfumes, and oddities here. The staff member told me that they are all ethically sourced items- e.g., the butterflies and animal bones are from animals that already passed away. Lastly, I have to say, their prices are very affordable compared to other shops. I found a preserved butterfly for $10 and I got a pack of organic loose leaf tea for $8. I will be back again soon.

My wife and I like to shop around at old downtown San Diego. For many years, we've been shopping for jewelry at Blue Lotus. The gentleman that is at the store is very welcoming and has always treated us with respect. However, I purchased a silver necklace May 30, 2025 and it has turned a dark color. I reached out to the phone number and the email that is listed on the website and on the business card and I've had a bad experience. The phone number that I texted only reached out to me once and asked me for pictures of the receipt and pictures of the necklace which I've provided. After that, they stop responding they don't acknowledge my text. The text show as received, but no one has replied back. I try emailing and no response via email either. At first, when I would call the phone number the line would ring but now it just takes me straight to voicemail. I tried calling with a different phone and the phone number rings but they don't pick up. At this point, I am very disappointed at the fact that a store of this caliber would have such poor communication skills with a committed client like I am. I just need guidance on what to do with the necklace or how to clean it. I am going to attach pictures of the necklace and the receipt to show that the necklace was not cheap. Has anyone else had this experience with this store? Can someone guide me on what to do next? Does anyone know about a better method of reaching this store?

I booked an appointment through her website and was able to get in within the hour. Her studio is conveniently located in Gaslamp, and parking nearby was super easy. From the moment we walked in, the vibes were amazing. Carmen was so welcoming, and her studio was adorable. SHE HAS EVERYTHING. Seriously, her selection was the best I've seen. She had so many unique chains and charms. My boyfriend and I ended up getting matching chains, and I got a smaller version of it to make it feel a little more feminine. I've been stopped all day to ask what stone and where did I get this ring from. Returned today because there was a third ring... I could NOT bare to leave on the 27th without. I did not grab the young lady's name. But, she has a gorgeous accident and for two days she walked me to each cabinet, unlocked them, allowed me to try multiple rings on. I felt so guilty lol!!! My kids absolutely loved this setup. It's very simple but value is excellent. If you have a gem loving child with an eye for detail, the panning for gems is a great activity. My kids happily hung out here for almost an hour, though one of my kids could have stayed another hour still. Depends on their interest and focus. Staff is friendly, the shop is well organized, and they have a great location in the walking area of OT. We'll be back!
