Went to San Diego for a quick trip and randomly decided we wanted to get permanent jewelry on a whim. I am SO glad I found Bijut on Yelp because this was honestly the best permanent jewelry experience I've had. I already have a lot of permanent jewelry, so I knew what to expect walking in, but Carmen truly made this experience stand out. I booked an appointment through her website and was able to get in within the hour. Her studio is conveniently located in Gaslamp, and parking nearby was super easy. From the moment we walked in, the vibes were amazing. Carmen was so welcoming, and her studio was adorable. SHE HAS EVERYTHING. Seriously, her selection was the best I've seen. She had so many unique chains and charms. My boyfriend and I ended up getting matching chains, and I got a smaller version of it to make it feel a little more feminine. I also couldn't help myself and got a freshwater pearl anklet too, which I'm obsessed with. I'm from LA, but I've already told my friends they need to stop by Bijut whenever theyre in SD. I booked an appointment to celebrate my friend's birthday and we got bracelets together. The shop was a vibe, so many options to choose from and Carmen was very accommodating. She is super sweet and very creative. Everything is sterling silver or gold and safe for your skin and all gems/ pendants are genuine Swarovski crystals and/or pearls. I wanted a permanent bracelet for my birthday back in September and found Bijut, not too far from me and their website was user friendly and I booked an appointment. Carmen is so so sweet. She was calm, reassuring and did not rush me in making the selection. I found my perfect simple sparkly yet dainty jewelry and she did her magic. We sized it, I wanted it to dangle and it was absolutely perfect. She chit chatted with me and my husband the entire time, along with Kevin and it was done pretty quickly. Since my bracelet dangled it snagged on a lot of things and it never broke when I thought it might. Unfortunately after 4 months, my car took some of the dangle. But! They have a lifetime warranty- (and I wanted it resized a little smaller anyway) so I booked an appointment with them within 12 hours. She made me feel so welcomed and resized my bracelet and fixed the dangly part. The whole process was less than 12 minutes. I was even debating on getting another one because they had new cute styles. I WILL be coming back for another bracelet and necklace. Their goody bags come with cleaning cloths and their punch card too! My bracelet still shines and it has been through alot with my occupation. I definitely recommend coming here! Had my permanent anklet (that I got somewhere else) break on me & was looking for a place that could fix it that day. I googled a place & Bijut came up. Contacted them & they replied right away, got us in short notice & fixed my anklet the exact way I wanted it (it had a charm & the other place didn't attach it the way I asked because they were rushing, but Carmen took her time did it exactly how I asked) When we got to the lofts, she came down to bring us up with her. Upon arrival into her space, the positive energy radiating from it made me feel right at home. She has 2 dogs that I fell in love with, they are usually in a separate space but I am a huge dog lover so she let them out for me, they made my day even better. Later on I got a second anklet for my stack from her & they both feel extremely secure. Established in 2022.

Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Carmen moved to the U.S. at 19, determined to build a new life. After starting her creative career as a stylist and makeup artist, she transitioned into the Self-Driving AI industry, where she spent six years rising from autonomous operator to Lead Instructor and Project Manager. This chapter gave her leadership, project management, and technical skills—but ultimately, she felt called back to her passions. Carmen trained as a certified silversmith in Arizona and launched her jewelry brand, combining craftsmanship with her belief in the energy of authentic crystals. For her, jewelry is more than adornment—it’s a way to heal, empower, and connect people through Earth’s natural gifts. Today, Carmen and her husband Kevin live in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter with their two French bulldogs, Yoda and Peter Pan, where they operate their jewelry boutique and continue building a life filled with creativity, purpose, and community.

After finding nothing, she simply said "sorry." This situation made my children feel singled out, uncomfortable, and embarrassed. No child should be made to feel like a suspect without cause, especially when they were doing nothing wrong and were fully cooperative. What could have been a normal family outing turned into an upsetting experience for them, and it affected the rest of our time there. I hope the business takes this seriously and provides better training on how to approach situations like this with respect and professionalism.
