I just had my first cleaning with Dirty Deeds. I decided to treat myself since I'm 8 months pregnant and about to have guests staying here as well. I'm totally pleased with my choice to have them come clean! I'm so self-conscious about having people over when it isn't clean, so I probably did more tidying/prep than was necessary, but I'm a glutton for punishment. Sarah, Tiana, and Lexus arrived at 11am (about an hour ahead of schedule) and we're very cheerful and sweet. They were very friendly to my pets and son. They asked me if I had any special requests as we walked through the house. Then they divided and began cleaning while my son and I worked on an organization project in the office. I was shocked at how fast they finished! They must have been done by 12:45! They had me walk through and make Sure everything was to my satisfaction. It looked great! It doesn't quite smell like the cleaning smells I'm familiar with because I use the typical bleach/Clorox stuff, and their company uses organic products (which I should probably be doing anyway). After they left I did another walkthrough. Things I noticed that were above my expectations: +My two sinks full of dishes were done +My microwave was pristine inside and out +They even cleaned my son's dusty training potty +Both beds were made SO pretty, and for the twin bed I gave them queen sized sheets since that's all I have right now- and they made it work! +They made up my couches with the clean couch covers I had just thrown on from the dryer Things I wish I had noticed while they were still here: -visible dirty spots on the floor under the pull out spice rack between the fridge and wall -paint brush splatters on the wall behind the kitchen sink -surfaces appeared clean via visual inspection, but when I ran my fingers over the following surfaces they were still gritty/dusty: some kitchen counters, side table in living room, dining room table, nightstands and dresser in master bedroom. -hard water marks in the master toilet...it's very possible that they tried and maybe those are permanent -they didn't vacuum under/behind dog crate (it's actually a cat size travel crate) and that's a particular hit spot for dirt, grit, and leaves -sliding door track wasn't vacuumed -blinds weren't wiped down (I was looking forward to this as it was listed as something they do) Overall, I'm still very pleased with my decision to hire Dirty Deeds. The ladies that came were very sweet. The housework had definitely gotten ahead of me, and now that it's clean I feel more confident that I will be able to stay on top of it. I'm still on the fence about hiring them for a maintenance clean every 4-6 weeks as I had initially planned. read more

Edit again: Told you. This company is either full of lies or has difficulty with their reading comprehension. I asked for a mere $50 discount (or less!) not a 50% discount, and repeated that numerous times. I outlined clearly how I'd come to that number, with proof of the costs of the missing and damaged items. I sent photos of my damaged items and missing items. They completely ignored all of this. It's ironic that their name is "Dirty Deeds" because these people truly are criminals. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. Edit: I discovered many things missing and damaged. When I pointed these out to the company, they ignored me. When I reported this to the BBB, they lied and threatened to take me to small claims court, despite previously stating that any missing or damaged items would be covered by their insurance. No doubt they will respond to this with more lies and slander. Do not work with this business. I paid for a deep clean and mild organization, and the results I got were more lackluster than expected. While my apartment was a total mess before and I appreciate their hard work, I wish they would've been more thorough per their outline of what they consider a deep clean. They offered to come back and fix the problems, but I this was not feasible for me - and their insistence that fixing it would only take a few minutes made it rather clear to me that their definition of "thorough" and my definition of thorough are actually rather different. They also insisted they would do better in the future, but I only wanted a one-time cleaning to get my apartment back on track, not a regular thing. I feel they should've just gotten it right the first time, especially since they had five people in my tiny 1-bedroom. I don't think you should feel the urge to clean after your cleaning company has left. Yes they offered to fix the problems, but considering that's not feasible for me, a discount was not offered. I have lived in the DuPont/Lakewood area for 5 years now, have tried several cleaning services periodically to do a top-down thorough clean. This was the cheapest so far however the service has also been less than satisfactory. It was clear that several areas of the house were untouched and left dusty like baseboards and fireplaces. I found a room not even vacuumed. An Entire room. Other areas specifically around the bathroom were left dirty specifically around the floors near toilets, faucets, shower grout. I scrubbed these areas myself following the service and it easily came off with hot water and a scrub. So this tells me that the problem is effort related. I complained and they were able to come back the next business day, but still there were unresolved issues that I clearly listed after I inspected their initial clean. Despite this, the communication however was adequate. They were available on short notice. Staff was friendly to talk to. Overall, my impression is that if you want an inexpensive service this place is great, but service is definitely still left to be desired. read more

So this is an update.. after being accused of trying to get free cleaning despite paying for the services, then being told I was exaggerating the lack of cleaning performed the cleaners came back out. This time it was 2 other people. They spent 10 minutes in my upstairs bathroom and living room just doing minor touch up then went to leave as they were told not to spend any more time or do any other areas.. i came out and asked if they were done and they indeed said yes. I told them the downstairs bathroom wasn't touched. Asked them to come look for themselves before leaving so they could relay the reason I was so upset... they were appalled and verified that nothing was done. They were also in communication with Melissa who said.."so nothing was done?".. in which the cleaners replied an emphatic no. To the credit of the cleaners they did the best they could with 15 minutes left.. still not what I paid for. You would think that after being told by her own employees that the job was horribly done that she would reach out to the customer to apologize.. nope.. not a peep. Also I was informed that this was her mode of operation.. shameful. I could have been a regular customer but thankfully I found a great company to replace this one that is not up to par and not worth the money. Update to update.. WHAT A CROCK!!!! I have the original invoice that clearly stated I hired you for 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room, along with entry way... my bathroom is not centered in the downstairs bedroom, it's a separate room and I didn't ask you to touch the bedroom only the areas you were hired for. So stop making ridiculous excuses for a horrible job that wasn't completed. Everytime you get a negative review and even thoughs with pictures showing the bad job you blame the client.. it's time you realized it's not the client. If you (potential customers) are reading this.. look at the pictures, look at past reviews. Her response is always the same..unexpected work, wants something for nothing.. blah blah blah.. take this advice and find a different company that really does take care of the customer. We hired Dirty Deeds after a long vacation away from home. We left our two cats in the house --so there was cat fur everywhere. The cat fur settles on top of the wainscot. Paid $310 for the first initial cleaning. I was excited to have my house cleaned and taken care of as I am a single parent and work 14 hour days. I was out of the house all day and finally got off work and Paid the invoice and headed home. When I got home my garage door was locked and I primarily enter my house that way. So I went to check the front door where I left my house key for them to get in and they locked me out my own home at 9pm at night with a screaming toddler in tow. I had to force my way into the home after the owner offered to call a locksmith, but there was an accident on I5 so it would have taken hours for them to arrive. Once I arrived in my home I was appalled that the walls were still dirty. I was also horrified to see that my laundry was not done at all (a service which I paid for). They left some laundry in the washer soaking wet and didn't even tell me. Entered to see the rest of my home and they left their drink on the counter, dishes in the sink and just stuff not taken care of. I'm absolutely livid that they would charge so much and not deliver on what was promised. The owner Sounded tired and disinterested and just offered for them to return and at this point I no longer want them in my home. They offered to take care of the laundry and come back to scrub over again, but I am no longer interested in their business and I feel jipped. If they would have communicated with me that they would need more time I would have totally understood, but they didn't. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Disgusted And they keep saying I just wanted the service done for free. For $310 my place should be spotless and complete. COMPLETE is the key word here. If the laundry was too much to do in the first cleaning that was fine, but they just left my laundry Wet and didn't even tell me, I had to find out myself when I came to the house. The sad part is if I didn't make this review and if I didn't call to let them know they would have not come back at all to complete the work. I hope everyone reads this and makes another choice in business to spend their money. I am definitely reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and already spoke with the MWR PR representatives at my job to not refer their services to PCS'ing service members as with this work they would not pass their housing inspections. It is always my goal to leave an honest review that adequately reflects the service that I received. I have reviewed many businesses on yelp and some of them have been outstanding. I wished that this was an outstanding experience. My initial communication with Melissa, the owner, was very positive. She was quick to respond and quick to answer any questions that I had. She was also very fast to come to my home and give me an estimate. I felt that her assessment of my house was very thorough. This is why I hired her. She explained that they were a top to bottom service and outlined all of the items that would be covered in my cleaning. I stated at that time that my main focus needs were basic cleaning, the care of the walls, windows. Through the conversation it was explained to me the first time would be more expensive because it was an ultra deep cleaning, which I understood, and there would be three people coming that day in order to accomplish everything. It was my expectation that everything in the house will be cleaned top to bottom - in fact, it was listed in her email to me that I still have. But that did not happen, the experience was subpar. I had several trash cans that were not emptied, my stainless steel appliances in the kitchen were not touched. The ceiling fans, walls, windows, window tracks, shades, fixtures were all left untouched. This was like adding insult to injury the as the original appointment time for this first cleaning was a bright and early 8 AM. They were an hour late. I tried calling, emailing, texting and there was no response to any of my attempts. Once they arrived I swiped all that away allowing them to do the job that I understood that they were here to do. In 2 hours they were all gone. When I emailed Melissa about it I received a response back that she was thankful that I emailed her about the things that were not completed and that they normally don't do the fans, shades, windows and the walls with the first cleaning BUT that she would add it to the notes to ensure everything thing was done properly next time. When Melissa came to my house for the assessment it was my understanding that that WAS going to happen since I expressed that I had family coming in and desired that to happen for my first cleaning. So then I was left waiting for confirmation from Melissa as to when the next cleaning would be. Days went by and there was no communication. Finally I emailed again and was told that she had a health issue and was not well. Completely understandable... except it took another couple of days for me to get an appointment so that I could put it on my calendar. The next time they arrived and the staff came to the house on time and began cleaning. However when she left - again there were trashcans unemptied. She even acknowledged that she did not do them and said she would go back and do them & left without doing so. I then emailed Melissa again. This time my email addressed not only the cleaning but the invoice that I was sent for the past 2 cleanings. I was told there was a military discount and on my cleanings that discount was not applied. She never responded to that issue at all. I ended up paying the full price for something that I was told I would get a discount on. In addition to that she never responded to me about the things that were not done in the home. The next email I received from Melissa was asking me if I wanted my cleaning for the current week. I informed her that we talked about this previously and that I would be skipping that week. I asked for my military discount to be applied from the last two cleanings on my next cleaning and there was no response. I received another calendar invite which is how Melissa seems to communicate with her clients. My last and final communication with her was please cancel this cleaning and all future cleanings. And I never heard from Melissa again. I ended up paying full price for two cleanings that were unacceptable. I had to deal with the headache of trying to get someone, who I was paying, to communicate with me. I also had to clean after the staff left and clean what they did not. This was an awful experience. I have since hired someone else and she is fantastic. ** I was refunded the military discount money that I billed full price for. Thank you and I wish this company the best as they hopefully make necessary updates and corrections for the benefit of their clients. read more

**Update: After seeing my review, Dirty Deeds contacted me via email and phone, offering a refund for the part of our deposit we didn't get back, as well as a free cleaning of our new home. While we appreciate their offer and dedication to customer service, we didn't take them up on it. We hired Dirty Deeds from April-October 2017. Positives: Melissa does a good job of communicating and replying to emails, as well as attempting to solve problems proactively. They use their own, homemade cleaning products. They say they're organic, which is cool! Flexible hours and scheduling. Issues: House never seemed amazingly clean. I understand that it's going to take some time for them to get their "groove," but there were many times where I'd come home to find a mess on the floor that they hadn't cleaned. My main requests were that the floors get vacuumed and mopped. The shower stall wasn't getting cleaned either. I had to send Melissa numerous emails requesting that these things be done. She finally had to come and do it herself. The house was 900 square feet with a single .75 bathroom. We had a dog that needed cleaning up after, but the house wasn't completely trashed. Some claims weren't backed up. The claim that they use only organic products: three Swiffer mops were left behind. When I notified Melissa of this, she vehemently denied that they use those so they couldn't belong to her employee. I don't even care what cleaning products they're using! I just didn't want all of these Swiffers! It was so bizarre. Melissa also told me that every few appointments one of the owners would complete the cleaning to make sure that everything was going well. If this was happening, I wasn't aware. It would be great if they left a note or email. Finally, we hired them to do our move out cleaning. When the carpet cleaner arrived, Dirty Deeds hadn't vacuumed the carpets yet, so he did that. So they didn't even have to vacuum the bedrooms for our move out cleaning. They said they'd clean the blinds, and yet that's the part of our deposit we didn't get back from property management. After a ton of attempts to get Melissa's employees to adequately clean my home, I was never satisfied. It was a frustrating experience. read more

Omg, you guys...Melissa is a life-saver. She came out to do a free estimate and tell me a bit about how they work and that was all she wrote...I was really sick of spending one of my two days off cleaning all day, so I was stoked to find her. She makes her own cleaning supplies. All non-toxic and safe for your pets and mini humans (larger humans too). She walked through the house, did a custom estimate, we made arrangements for how they would get in while we weren't home, and we were off! They can come as little or as often as you like (we agreed on every two weeks) and the price is adjusted accordingly. Worth every penny. The care and detail that went into the job really sets Dirty Deeds apart from the rest (along with the price and military discount). I was bursting with joy when I got home and saw my house. Everything started out exceptionally well with Dirty Deeds. They truly did a spectacular job the first few visits. But then, a new employee started with them and we had medication and some cosmetics stolen. Walking in the house you could tell immediately it was not up to the standards that the first few visits were. The beds were only half made, the countertops weren't clean and organized. It looked like she spent more time looking to see what she could steal than actually working. The person who cleaned the kitchen and main room did a very good job as usual. We notified Dirty Deeds who looked into it. They informed us that the employee was fired as there were several issue with other clients as well. Asked if there was anything they could do to rectify the situation we had just said we didn't want anyone new again, and that the person who has been there for a while was very good. We also had expressed since the house was not cleaned like it should have been, that the next cleaning be "comped" or discounted. We received an email to verify the next cleaning appointment. But the time had come and passed and no-one showed up, or even called to say they were going to have to re-schedule. We've made several attempts now to contact Dirty Deeds and they won't return our phone calls or emails. We thought we had a gem, turns out it was another dud. Beware! read more

I had been looking for a cleaning company for over a month, Melissa and Josh with Dirty Deeds were the best at responding to a request for an estimate and then at booking a deep clean on relatively short notice during the holidays. Couldn't have asked for better service right from the get go. They've been out 3 times now for bi-monthly cleanings. Done a really nice job each time. We have 2 large dogs and they still manage to make my house look dog-free! They clean areas that I have overlooked and having my kitchen window and sliders washed on the inside each time is such a nice bonus. I've been using Dirty Deeds for a year now. I am always very satisfied with the job done. I have a large house with almost every room being a high traffic area and on top of that two dogs that shed so much it's a miracle they are not bald and a husband that makes being messy a new art form. Every time my house is cleaned it's done in a "deep clean" fashion. Cabinets are whipped down, blinds are dusted, fridge is cleaned out, etc. It is always so nice to come home to a clean house with every detail tended to as of you did it yourself. Melissa is always very receptive to special requests or special tasks I ask of the company. They even let my dogs out to potty if I'm not home! Even though the relationship ended amicably enough, I want to add value to my fellow yelpers in their search for a reputable cleaning company. As others have stated, an estimate was provided to me for an initial "deep clean" (please note the quotations) and a quote for the weekly cleanings to follow. I don't believe Melissa, the owner, has the same perspective of a deep clean as her clients. I expect my house to look fantastic after a deep clean, however, the girls that cleaned my home did quite a terrible job. One floor of my home (I have a tri-level) had little to no dusting that I could tell, the floors were not swept and mopped (laundry and bathroom) and it didn't look like much was done other than folding a few blankets and vacuuming. They left before they were done as one had some sort of emergency, but before they left they said they were done with the upper and lower levels. The top floor wasn't much better than the downstairs - again, the bathroom floors did not look like they were done and the showers/bathtubs didn't look like much was done with them. Since they left early, I received an adjusted invoice but I wasn't comfortable paying it until the girls came back and finished the work. The owner, Melissa, did not agree. What eventually happened is that my invoice was deleted and they did not come back. read more

I'm so glad to have pick dirty deeds cleaning company to clean our house, we have had Sarah come over for the past few months, and she is so sweet, punctual and a great effective cleaner. I am normally home while she is cleaning and my kids and I feel so comfortable with her around. She is fast, efficient and the house looks amazing! The ladies that cleaned my house made sure I would pass the inspection, which I did. They were priced extremely fair and even offered a 10% discount for military. Had an appt scheduled from 11-2 today. Called to confirm and was told they would arrive at 2:30. Team arrived at 3:45. My child was already home, me and spouse got home at 5, with dog who was boarded for day. When I called I was told it was my scheduling error due to me being military. I had to take entire family and dog out of house for team to finish. Owner told me that night they arrived at 2:30 and would not dis punt any services because that was lazy. The owner had horrible customer service, no personal accountability. The team members were nice and pleasant and cleaning was ok. If owner was more pleasant I would have kept service. She was completely disrespectful. I personally love her response to me, as I never demanded a free clean as I didn't want them in my home again nor was I in my home when they were done. She is correct I didn't respond when they offered me free cleaning services and made rude comments to me as I was done with the conversation. Sometimes you need to be the bigger person and move on, but I wanted the community to know/see the customer service I received. Also Melissa is correct both of my reviews are on cleaning companies having the inability to be on time and keep appts not on the ability to do a good job. I've had a wonderful experience with Dirty Deeds thus far. They have done an initial deep clean and then one biweekly clean. The deep clean was good but they missed a half bath downstairs. I remember the owner saying to call if you're ever unhappy with services and they will immediately rectify the situation, and they did just that! They sent a team back asap and rechecked the deep clean and wipes everything down a second time while the other person cleaned the bathroom they missed initially. So, I really, really wanted to like this company. They are very friendly, they respond to emails and contact very fast. They provide great customer service, along with email reminders, and scheduled appointment emails. Let me point out my house is well taken care of, just wanted a spring cleaning done, nothing major like it's trashed or anything. here's the things....they were 45 min late, we left them for a few hours to get out of their way to do the deep clean. We come back 2.5 hours later and they were gone, so we go and inspect, going off of their cleaning checklist that was emailed to us. No light fixtures were cleaned. The kitchen wasn't mopped and just barely swept. The baseboards, the window ledges, the window tracks, and none of the windows them selves were cleaned. The bathroom faucets still had toothpaste marks on them And hard water buildup. The behind part of the toilets weren't cleaned. The office wasn't even touched even though it was included. AND one of the workers personal cell phones was left charging on my cell phone charger in my room. So i did what anyone would do. I complained to the owner. He understood and sent the cleaners back same day. Where they admitted to me they didn't clean the windows. Or the fixtures, or the blinds, or the light switch plates, or any dirt on the walls. For $250 I expected a good "deep clean". I loved the service, was disappointed with the work. I did not ask for a discount, or for a refund. I paid my bill the day I got the invoice and that's that. I would not recommend anyone use these cleaners. My father-in-law recently passed away. I hired these cleaners to do a deep clean of his house. They charged me $340. They said they would clean the outside and underneath all appliances. I will let the pictures that I attach speak for themselves. When I complained about the job they did, they did not apologize and we're very insulting over email. Although they did eventually go back and clean the house, I still wasn't satisfied with the job they did. They threw out some of my property and broke the blinds on one of my windows when they were supposed to be cleaning it. They left dirt in the sinks and window sills and the tub, and did not clean the kitchen sink or the stove properly. They also did not clean the washer and dryer. Then after I pay them, they called in a fake gas leak on the house so that the gas would be turned off. I want people to know so they don't repeat my mistake. read more

I recently shopped around for cleaning services, and Dirty Deeds Cleaning promptly answered my call and came out to do a quote within a day. They were very attentive when I explained our family situation (three school-aged kids, wife works very long hours, I work on the east coast) and offered their services for a reasonable price. Despite being a stingy cheapskate, I decided to give them a try. The quality of their work is very high. My kids even told me they did a better job of cleaning than I do (which I felt was unfair because Dirty Deeds sent a team of five their first day!). We currently have Dirty Deeds Cleaning come every other week, and have been very pleased with the job they do. They've been accommodating and communicate well. I hired this company to clean my apartment because I was moving and I had inspection. I sent a message and they came to my apartment to give me a quote. They gave me an excellent price for everything they had to do. They were done cleaning the whole apartment in just a few hrs. The manager of the complex went and do the inspection and the only thing that wasn't clean enough was the oven. I told them what happened and they went back and re clean the oven for free. The manager of the complex went back and she said everything was perfect. They are really responsible for what they do, they are military friendly and their customer service is outstanding. Melissa and her staff are great! To accommodate our schedules, Melissa came over after normal business hours to give us a quote. They offer military discounts and have competitive pricing. Melissa is very friendly and responsive. Her staff are great too. Especially Beth and Cindy who did a very thorough job on our three bathrooms. The team arrived right on time and went to work immediately after I showed them around the house. They worked hard, were fast, and meticulous. I work at home and was concerned about interruptions. They were respectful of my work and only came in a couple of times when they had questions. The house looks amazing. The floors look amazing. Just wanted to let you know that our recent cleaning with Danielle was great! We're in the process of shampooing carpet in different rooms so we had specific rooms we asked her to skip, both of us were in the way working from home, and even our daughter was around for the first part of the day.
