Claudia asked very important and probing questions to ensure she knew if any special accommodations were needed for Sarge given he is a senior dog. The other one is a different story, he is diabetic and blind and doesn't even let me brush him without growling and wanting to attack the hairbrush. So finding a place that would be able to work with him and give him a successful grooming was my challenge . The girls at the groomers were great with him! Our Jozi was still in DKA crisis after recently being discharged from another emergency vet hospital in the area on September 27, 2025. Dr. Jody Mello-Brooks immediately diagnosed that Jozi was still in DKA crisis with positive blood ketones and was severely dehydrated too. She admitted her to Warren Animal Hospital for fluid resuscitation, blood sugar management, insulin treatments, antibiotics for her pancreatitis (diagnosed on 9/25/25) and electrolytes with close observation. Dr. Jody Mello-Brooks worked on Jozi x 22 hours over the next 2.5 days to bring our girl "back-to-life" again. I am thoroughly convinced that Dr. Jody and her staff (Erin Hartington, CVT, Olivia and Candice) saved our sweet Jozi's life. No doubt about it. They walked us hand-in-hand each day with the plan of care, treatments provided and future management of our dog who was newly diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis. We were thoroughly impressed with their dedication, commitment, compassion and competence to provide the best care for Jozi as well as address all of our cares, concerns and questions. Staff is always flexible with picking him up as I live about 30 mins away. There's a window where you can see the dogs getting groomed which is reassuring that they are safe and treated well. My dog used to hate going to groomers but I think he loves it here as he gets to play with other dogs and isn't caged while waiting to be groomed. He always leaves looking dapper and they give a seasonal dog bandana at each appt.

Our long hair cat was having an issue with litter getting stuck in her hair. I brought her to Calypso and she was first given a deshedding cut but that did not help with the issue. Terri then gave her a lions cut and problem solved. The cut actually is really cute on her and now she's not walking around with litter ( and other things) stuck in her fur. We will be returning for future grooming services at Calypso and will be bringing our other rescue for her first visit soon. Thank you for taking such great care of Molly.

He can be very difficult to work with and will try to kick and even bite (even though he's not a biter and I don't think he would actually bite), but the girls here are very patient with him and are very good at what they do. I cannot commend them enough for the work that they do and I am very grateful for them. I don't know what I would do if it weren't for them as my dog refuses to let me cut his nails! Our family has used them for several family members & we have already prepaid our arranges for someday. Anyway, I called on a Sunday afternoon & left message with answering service, & told Kim would return my call shortly. Within 20 minutes, Kim was on the phone with me making an appointment to meet with us to receive Aaron's remains.. I let Kim know the service we chose. I believe Jenn met my husband the next morning to take custody of Aaron. They let us know his ashes would be spread on a farm with a lake not far away. It hurts to let him go, but this time comes in all lives. Definitely recommend Faithful Friends to everyone who wants to respectfully cremate their close friend. His paws have marked my heart forever.
