His owner became ill, and If She couldn't find someone to take Him, I was told,She would have had to put Him to sleep. I Immediately stepped in. We were Homeless together for 2 1/2 years, and with the help of the VA, and VASH, ( I am an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy), I was Approved for Section 8 Housing. After being on the bottom of a waiting list (for an Apartment) CODY and I soon got Our own place! He has been with Me as My Family, My Companion, One of My Loves, and most importantly, My Sobriety Cat. "My HERO"! We have been through a lot together. He has kept Me Strong during difficult times, (We all know how Life can be)! Around the beginning of the Year, 2026, I took CODY in for a check-up. I found Out He had "Kidney Disease". I was devastated. I didn't know what little time We had left together. His last weekend with Me, He wasn't eating and Very weak. I contacted Humane Society in Escondido, cause I live in North County. I made an Appointment to bring Him in. It was Sunday March 15, 2026. When I arrived, the Staff were very Courteous, Compassionate and really showed their Love for My CODY, like I have. They allowed Me to spend as much time as needed. I asked them if they can give Him some water, because He seemed to be trying to swallow. They said of course, and They would give Him "Whipped Cream"! When I left Him that afternoon, CODY looked so Peaceful! I Truly felt I had made the right decision! My Sincere Appreciation for CODY and San Diego Humane Society (Escondido Branch)! btw I am still maintaining Sobriety! NMRK

They said we'll tomorrow at 10am . I came back and they were not able to give the cat her shot again unless I came back at 1pm. Don't trust these people, they are very nice until they collect your money. And very rude even after explaining the cost of gas for giving g wro g I formation 2 days in a row. And they are even worse when they think the cat did not come from the shelter. I already decided to do the shots at Kahoots. And never again get an ani.al from Escondido Humane Society again. They are fake people. They don't care if they stress out your pet, once you take it and paid them money. Horrible stink pot place to get a pet.

Visits are by appointment only, so my husband and I booked a session on Valentine's Day. This was hands down the best animal experience we've had, thanks to the amazing staff and adorable animals. The animals were friendly, engaging, and active, which is a testament to how happy and well cared for they are. Each party is given a complimentary bucket of lettuce to feed the animals, with more available for purchase. We got to pet and feed not only mini pigs, but also goats, ducks, chickens, and even a large, handsome turkey. And because it was Valentine's Day, the staff passed around glasses of sparkling wine for guests, which was an extra special touch. The setting is tucked away in a mountainous area, making it feel like a hidden gem off the beaten path. It was the perfect stop on our way to San Diego. We're definitely looking forward to returning again next time!

Our home felt unbearably quiet, so my husband and I began searching for a reputable local breeder. That's when we discovered Ary and his amazing Olde English Bulldogs. From the start, we were impressed by his reviews, videos, and -- most notably -- his facility. It's not what you'd typically expect from a breeder. Ary lives on the property, but his dogs have large, well-maintained play yards, plenty of toys, shaded areas, and an impeccably clean environment. When we visited, Ary took time to educate us about the Olde English Bulldog breed, even though we had already done our research. His passion for the breed and his dedication to finding the right home for each dog really stood out. It was clear that his priority is the well-being of the dogs, not profit. A year later, we are still continually amazed by Ary's ongoing care and support for his customers and their fur babies. He responds to every text within an hour and has fostered a wonderful community through his One of a Kind Bulldogs group. The group is an invaluable resource for training tips, medical advice, and encouragement from other Bulldog owners. One of the highlights is the annual get-together Ary hosts for his Bulldog family, a true testament to the community he has built. We know we're biased because we love our Doopy beyond words, but our vet -- who has cared for all three of our Bulldogs -- confirmed what we already knew: Doopy is exceptionally well-bred. We couldn't be more grateful to Ary and One of a Kind Bulldogs for bringing so much love and joy into our lives.

To…read morestart, Ary is an extremely professional breeder who is responsive to his customers and overly caring to his dogs. But our relationship did not end with Ary after we picked up our pup like most breeders do. Instead, he added us to a customer Facebook page and left us with his cell phone number. The Facebook page is great for putting you in contact with his past customers who have experience with olde English bulldogs. The page is beneficial for sharing funny pictures, documenting milestones, and asking questions or addressing concerns. Ary is active on the page where he follows along and provides advice when necessary. Ary is also available anytime you need him for issues big or small. Not only did we gain our sweet Frankie girl, but we also became part of the OAK community. Our Frankie has a huge personality! She is playful yet calm when needed and gentle and trusted with young kids. She was potty trained in a week and crate trained nearly overnight. She has a loving temperament that is complimented by many. It is obvious, Ary is breeding top quality dogs. We look forward to buying another pup from Ary soon. We direct all our friends and family to OAK and would never consider going elsewhere!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!…read more I have been patient in looking to add a kitten/cat to our family and stumbled across Marigold on a fosters Instagram page which prompted me to submit an application. Kat reached out the very next day after reviewing our application and pre approved us. Yelena reached out for all coordination afterwards. Marigold was not even posted on the rescues page but they were so kind and were able to get us in to meet her. The foster mom (and dad) were wonderful and have been doing this for so long (60+ kitties). We instantly fell in love with Marigold and were able to be selected to adopt her (pat on our back for being able to provide a good home). She came from a hoarder home and was lucky to survive from malnutrition. We came back to get her after getting she completed her shots/spayed. Not even 24 hours in, my one year old tabby loves her and she is settling in perfectly. I will say I have had not so great experiences with other rescues in the area and Dirty Little Paws surpassed all expectations! I hope one day I can repay them and foster another baby in need.

We decided to rescue her a few days before Hope2K9 had an open spot to start her training. When we brought Freyja home from the rescue we learned that she was part shark and part sled dog. On our first walk she was trying to pull us up the street with the force of an entire team of sled dogs. When we got home from the walk we gave her a "indestructible dog toy" which she managed to destroy within 5 minutes. At this point we were nervous about the potential challenges we were going to be facing with training. During the 3 week training process Cam kept us updated on our pups progress. The second night we received a short video of Cam walking a well behaved Freyja. The 2 in person training sessions were well organized and covered all the commands and how to leverage the training tools used to train our pup. The experience did not end with the 3 week training because Hope2K9 has been there to answer our questions.
