I want to give 5 stars so this place stays here forever but man the food was just not good. The buns were stale, the burgers were cold and tasted like the frozen patties from Costco. The nachos were cold. The only hits were the onion rings and the milkshake, it was awesome. The service was great! They were super nice at the counter. One of the guys interacted with my kids which I thought was sweet. Sometimes I feel like people, especially around campus, are annoyed by children but they were so sweet. The inside is old and run down but that's part of the charm.

Amazing place!! We had the Kum Back burgers in two sizes, small and large. The small was the perfect size for me, and my boyfriend loved the double patty large burger. The service at the counter was friendly, and food came out very fast. We also had the pleasure of meeting the cook that has worked here for 30 years! We ate in the burnt orange room that had great Longhorn memorabilia and lots of great things to look at. Awesome vibe. It's the 100th year anniversary this year, and we see why. The onion rings were outstanding!! We have never had better. The batter was light and they were sliced thin for maximum flavor. Can't wait to go back, maybe tomorrow!!

If you're in Longhorn country and craving a burger wrapped in grease and nostalgia, Dirty Martin's still hits in all the right ways. Walk in and you'll immediately feel you've stepped into something old and genuine. The walls are heavy with UT gear, sports paraphernalia, and the kind of bar-lights that don't pretend to be fancy. It's loud, it's greasy, it's cramped in spots, and it's perfect. The burgers are what you expect, nothing gourmet or pretentious. Thinner patties that are juicy, a little fatty, really what a classic greasy burger should be. Sides are also what you'd expect: onion rings, fried pickles, fries or tots. I got sweet potato fries! The drinks run from beer to margaritas. Service is friendly. Order at the counter, find a seat (inside, outside, patio, whatever), and expect a no-frills good time. The charm is the history. This place has been around since 1926, born as Martin's Kum-Bak with a dirt floor (yes, really). It's one of those joints that Austin might regret losing someday.

I mean, what can you say about a place that's been slinging burgers for almost a century now? They have their burgers, fries and onions rings on lock. If you get your burger with bacon, they make the bacon nice and crispy and slap two, thick slices on your burger. Their onion rings? Some of the best around, hands down. And fries - whether you opt for the sweet potato or regular fries, you won't be disappointed: crispy and chewy at the same time. Tots? Perfectly crispy and just melt in your mouth. What the hell is there not to love?

We went here for their birthday party and had so much fun! First of all the margaritas were only $4! We got in line and ordered a burger and onion rings, and I got a veggie burger with tater tots. They had free cake and mini milkshakes for their birthday. It was so fun and funny. This was absolutely the cheapest meal we've had in Austin. I want to say everything was only $5 each. The onion rings were sooo good! I would definitely get those again. Even my veggie burger was good - I was surprised they even had a veg option. Really friendly servers. You could tell everyone was having a fun time with the party hats on. It was absolutely packed - we got there early luckily. They have on site parking. Old school burger spot that reminded me of somewhere I would have back home in Pittsburgh.

Dirty Martin's has been a fixture in Austin since 1926, and it's easy to see why. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, the fries were crispy and hit the spot! The service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend this place for comfort food done right. Sticky floors and all, I can't wait to go back.

One of the iconic Austin restaurants that is still standing. Good ole burger and onion rings. If you are visiting Austin, you don't want to miss. Sooner or later, all of our iconic restaurants will be goners and new expensive modern ones will take over, unfortunately.

Food was ok . Employees are polite. But i wasn't amazed by the food . Had a burger and a side . Place was quiet inside , which was enjoyable. They also have a small bar area.

Had been meaning to come here for a bit. The food is so good and very affordable but more so- the service was great. The blonde at the front was so kind and helpful with steering us in decisions. We go the burger, melt and onion rings. Loved all of them and loved the divert vibe of this bar.

What can I say about Dirty Martin's that hasn't been said before? I don't understand the lower rated reviews. I think some folks just don't get the concept of this legendary burger joint. I've never had a bad meal or drink here. The onion rings are cooked in a batter that's makes them not too heavy and not too light. On top of all of the good food, it's pretty cool when the employees chat you up and sincerely what to have conversation. Even when they're super busy!

Dirty Martin's (not to be confused with Dirty Sanchez - totally different thing) is a must visit while in Austin. I got the double burger and fries... Lindsey suggested the jalapeño topper for the burger!!! OMG!! So good! I even bought the t-shirt... black of course to make me look thinner.. Get in there!!! LEGIT GRIT!!!

Fried jalapeños!! A MUST try.

This place is pretty awesome!! We try to make it once a month at least. Burgers are ALWAYS amazing but today I decided to venture into other menu items and I was not disappointed. Their fried jalapeños are perfectly battered and is something I order every time as well. Decided to try their BLT today and it is honestly the best one I've ever had. Perfectly buttered toast, correct ratios of every topping too. Also added a chocolate shake and it did not disappoint. They also have $10 mimosa carafes on Saturdays and what seems to be an awesome mixed drink list to choose from. It's a great place to watch the game on all their tvs too. Well worth the drive to the drag from any place in town. Definitely an Austin original. Support local ya'll.

Similar in design to The Roosevelt. If you want to go The Roosevelt without reservations and waiting for space to open up, this is a great way to pass the time until then. Just like The Roosevelt, they offer N/A cocktails, classic cocktails, and house creations. The N/A espresso martini is primo. The French 75 is one of the best I've had in the U.S. House creations, Show Business, Estatua Verde, and Standing Ovation are my faves! Show Business: Hendrick's Gin, Witch Hazel, Lavender, and other flavors Estatua Verde: White rum, sherry, lime juice, and more including smoke Standing Ovation: Campari, rum, bourbon, espresso, and more. So. Much. Goodness. They get pretty busy too and service can take a bit but never so long that it's bad. In fact, it's good, especially since you're getting high-end cocktails made by talented mixologists.

I cannot adequately explain how amazing our wedding celebration was at Zilker Park Clubhouse!! I'm…read moreholding a star since we received an email saying we got our deposit back Aug 12th and I still haven't seen the funds in my account- but besides that issue it's definitely got a 5 star rating! We actually got married a month prior in MA, but needed to celebrate the occasion with all our friends who live here with us in TX. This event space was perfect for a party on a budget. The view- I mean, come ON, was just incredible, and the backdrop for everyone's photos! People could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was. The process of getting the place was a bit tricky, as I could not navigate their government website to select the date and missed the cut-off time before having to do the lottery. Luckily, not a lot of people were begging for dates in August as the venue does not have air conditioning- so the heat was a bit brutal (but that's Texas!)- but we got it no problem! I ended up calling and the person I spoke to was very helpful. Speaking of air conditioning- or lack-there-of- we ended up renting some swamp coolers (huge cooling fans that run off of ice- but a LOT of ice!!) to help with the heat. There are ceiling fans and a few industrial fans included- but those don't help too much in August! I had a hard time figuring out what exactly we needed- so I'm going to add a quick "plug" for Preferred Climate Solutions our of Hutto, TX. They worked ZPC before and knew how to set things up. Brett even had an extra swamp cooler from an earlier event he let us use. Moving on- because this place doesn't require use of specific vendors- it made it that much affordable. We hired Slab BBQ to cater and Pixster photo booth for fun. For drinks, we filled out the necessary paperwork (some cheap $10ish permit? I can't quite remember) and we're able to just bring in a few kegs and boxes of wine from PartyBarn. Everything went off without a hitch! Good to note- the place provides a bunch of tables. Two huge round ones, a few smaller round and rectangle ones, and some nice cocktail tables we used on the patio. (The cocktail tables and one rectangular were good enough condition to go without tablecloths- the rest require coverings.) For lighting- it was definitely important to us to get string lights on the patio. I realized last minute that getting a few hundred feet of lights was going to be trickier than I initially thought- since I had to consider ones that connected and could manage the power of 300 ft of lights. I used Americanpartylights.com- it worked out great! They included zip ties which is important since it's against the park rules to use tape (holds better anyways.) I found a great diagram of ZPC patio for the light arrangements and measurements (photo included.) It was a perfect celebration and I HIGHLY recommend this space for any event! It has such a cool vibe even without decorations, your set up can be minimal and still look amazing. Plus... that VIEW!
