They have a bar area and a separate food ordering window and once you open a tab at either area, you will only end up with a single bill. We ordered something to drink while we reviewed the burger options on the menu. We decided on the Amarillo burger and Double Dog Texas Tommy. Be warned, the burgers are Texas sized 12 oz patties and the double dog was big too so come hungry. After a short wait, your name is called to pick up your order at the window. Our food was delicious and truly one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. It was cut in half which facilitates eating it as a 12 oz burger is a massive bite. We were visiting Austin and wanted to watch the World Cup and grab a burger at a bar. ChatGPT recommended this as our ideal spot. Food: I had the "Pitts" and hubby got the "Chicago" (burgers). Mine was exceptional, hubby's was just average. The burgers are HUGE, the buns are super soft, and the fries are crispy (unless you add chili and queso like I did--yum). Service: it's an "order at the counter" dive bar--don't expect too much. The bartenders were slammed, but quick with witty banter and cold drinks. We didn't order one, but the Bloody Mary looks like a work of art! As for the kitchen window, Mr. Grumpy Dick will unhappily take your order and bark responses that are mostly incoherent. It's clear from other Yelpers this guy is off his meds and shouldn't be interacting with people. Ambiance: we met 15 or so of our new best friends--the patrons are all super friendly (and drunk). The place is dark and loud, the bar chairs are likely originals from their grand opening in the 90s (mine no longer turned), and in general, Lysol couldn't hurt (it's similar to an outdoor patio except you're indoors). It's spicy and creamy and the bread was super good. This was my second time coming back for it and I hate coming to dirty sixth. Great food, nice people, quick service. I think the days of mean people and slow service are behind us! We parked on the street and paid for a couple of hours of street parking. We got the KC burger which had flavorful caramelized onions, the Chicago, which had bacon and cheese, some grilled chicken skewers, and a basket of fries. The door person last night was really cool, we got ID'ed quickly and he told us where is what at this bar, since it was my party's first time here. We had gone to a speakeasy previously and was told to come here by there staff for there burgers. And honestly it was a great choice. We journeyed through 6th street to make it here. This is more of a dive bar, that happens to sell food. The bar is for drinks. And there is a window in the back where you line up to order food. And wait for them to call your name. There are some tables on the first floor across from the bar. And the 2nd floor has some tables and a pool table. Timewise I feel like it took a while to wait in line and order, but it passed by eventually. The crowd was lively, not packed, but enough folks where we had a wait a bit to snag a table. Food- decided to split the Chicago burger with my friend and we added bacon. When the burger arrived, it was large and looked dry, very unassuming, and not picturesque. I also noticed it looked more well done then medium well, which also had me concerned in terms of tenderness. But when I tell you looks can be deceiving! The bun was good. The meat is so well seasoned throughout, and it's tender and juicy. I had only planned to eat a quarter of it, but ended up eating the entire half of it. Staff were super nice and helpful, let you know how everything worked and did their best at keeping the line moving. This was in the middle for me. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. The burgers are pretty big but for me they lacked flavor like the meat itself wasn't seasoned. I got the amarillo burger which they loaded with the peppers but just didn't have alot of flavor. I tried the LA burger with romaine lettuce, and spinach with a lemon vinaigrette, tomato, avocado, and smoked shallot aioli. The patty is so thick, I couldn't finish the whole burger at the restaurant. I took half the burger home and had the leftover for lunch the next day. The burger is well worth the $14.75. Everyone gushes over these burgers. I happened to overhear a customer at the counter say to his friend, "These are the best burgers I ever had." DEEPLY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE: Harassment and Lack of Accountability I'm writing this because I'm genuinely shaken by the treatment I received at Casino el Camino last night (Saturday, 4/25, approx. 2:15 AM). While my husband and I were quickly packing our leftovers after closing was announced, we were targeted by a staff member (short male, dreads, full gauged ears). He began aggressively throwing glasses onto our table and followed us down the stairs to intimidate us as we were leaving. As an Asian woman, it was heartbreaking to realize we were the only ones being targeted this way--the bar was still half-full, yet no other patrons were being rushed or hovered over. The situation peaked when the employee looked me in the face and called me a "fucking c--t" in front of my husband and friends. When we asked for help, the manager's "apology" session was a failure; the employee simply started yelling at us again. Instead of de-escalating, the front door staff slammed the door in our faces to hide him. When I asked for the General Manager's name, I was handed a blank business card--a clear attempt to avoid accountability. I gave the card back, as I won't be silenced by a generic brush-off. I am sharing this because a staff member who uses sexist slurs and physically intimidates women is a major liability. I truly hope management takes this seriously and handles this individual's employment appropriately. Check your security footage from 2:00-2:20 AM; it will confirm every word of this. read more

What we came to was a divey, dark, bar blasting metal music. I loved the vibes. The owner is a musician and handpicked all the music in the well known jukebox. There is a second floor that overlooks the downstairs and has pool tables and additional seating. They also have a very cool patio out back. The place was packed so we divided and conquered. A couple of us scouted out open tables, the others got in line for food. They have the bar to get drinks, but if you want food, there's a whole other line for that. For our food, the fellas got our own burgers and the ladies shared a burger. I personally went with the Amarillo Burger. After a night of cocktails and beer, I wanted something spicy and this burger was it. The burgers are pretty hefty here coming in at 12 ounces. The burger was topped with roasted serrano peppers, jalapeno jack cheese and cilantro mayo. The combination of all those different flavors was outstanding! The burger itself was seasoned and cooked to perfection. At first glance it looked a little too well done but it was juicy and so flavorful. I got it on a jalapeno cheddar brioche bun which was a perfect vessel for all the toppings. We got the Basket Case which was a very generous portion of tasty fries. I couldn't stop munching on them. None of us could finish our burgers and had to get to go boxes. For the price and for what you get, there is total value here. Super delicious burgers from an unsuspecting bar on E 6th. Casino El Camino may not look like much, but oh the delicious secrets it holds! I am only knocking off a star because of how long it took to order and get our food. I found a spot to sit and ordered our drinks, and my partner got on line to order food. Although there were only 3 people in front of him, he was on line for 30-45 minutes before ordering. The people taking orders at the window were pretty abrasive and rude (we couldn't tell if this was their bit and the "vibe" or if they were just having a bad day?). Sort of a bonus if you like divey places overall, but then, when you are hungry after a couple of drinks, you will NOT need to leave the premises for your fancy tablecloth place somewhere. You would be insulting your taste buds and stomach if you DID leave. The mac and cheese app was awesome, the fries were tasty, and DEFINITELY ask for the hot sauce from the window. They had a magical hot sauce in the back that made my meal. Know that they have different levels. I got the hottest one that made the guy in the back raise his eyebrows a little. I definitely don't look like a guy who can handle the hottest sauces. The place. TV's for sports. Two pool tables upstairs in a very cool area. Great service by the bartenders.
